There are not enough stars to select for this home. My MiL moved here in Jan '25 and from day 1 the care she received was outstanding. She made the choice to come to Ings House and as a family we are so glad she did! Every single member of staff worked incredibly hard to make sure her (and other residents)
needs were met. Any queries we may have had were dealt with immediately and with compassion. The office staff are second to none, resident and family focused alike and are so lovely and approachable. When our family member's time was nearing the end, not only was she given 100% from her caregivers, EVERY single member of staff made us, as a family so welcome as we stayed 24/7 at her side. We felt like part of the Ings family. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We cannot thank them enough! It made us feel that working there for them wasn't just 'a job', they genuinely cared about her and us. This made everything that bit easier for us as a family. A deeply heart THANK YOU!

Mum came to Ings House Nursing Home in September 2022 having been very poorly physically as well as having dementia. Since she arrived, she has received excellent care and attention. Mum is now eating and drinking well. She is interacting much more with other residents and staff and engaged with creative
activities in a really lovely way. Mum is able to hold a conversation in the 'here and now' and her sense of humour and personality have re-emerged from beneath the illness. I feel like I have been given back my mum. Staff are kind, thoughtful and anticipate needs rather than wait to be asked. Mum's medical needs are addressed efficiently and I am kept informed of any changes. My thanks go to every member of staff. They all work extremely hard and I now have peace of mind that I didn't have before.

I think this is a well-run home and there is a homely, calm atmosphere when I visit.
The staff I have met are pleasant and helpful and I would add the home is always clean and tidy.
I feel my sister-in-law is comfortable, happy and well cared for.

My mum became a resident in 2020, she has Alzheimer's disease, needing special care and attention. The care that she has received over the last three years is second to none. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the manager and her dedicated team and all this takes place in a wonderful atmosphere
created by the staff. Mum is happy and content in her own little world. It is so reassuring to know that she receives the best possible care and she could not be living, in my opinion, in a better care facility.

Staff always friendly caring and understanding of my sister's needs and food preferences. One of the carers is always professional and positive about the efforts to provide my sister with the specialist healthcare support of facilities and treatment she needs and is always upfront, open and jovial with
her to make her feel valued and comfortable.

My Auntie became a resident in January 2022 after being transferred from hospital due to her complex needs and from day one, Carolyn and the whole team have been wonderful. From having very little speech and being unsettled in the first few days my Auntie has been given so much care and attention she
has improved significantly and is very settled and content and you can see she is being well cared for in every sense. In my experience, everyone is very kind and thoughtful. Whilst at times, as you would expect the home is a busy hive of activity, there is always a pleasant atmosphere and it feels like a home from home. My family and I are all very grateful and have peace of mind knowing Auntie is safe, comfortable, well cared for and Happy in what has become her new home from home.

My mother is very happy in the home. She likes the food, she likes the carers and nurses, she is never afraid to ask them for help. From my part, I have every confidence in the manager and her team of staff. It all runs on time, efficiently, and nothing is forgotten. I am truly impressed with it all.
As a result, I can enjoy my life knowing my mother is receiving the best of services and I am sincerely grateful for this.

My Dad’s most recent respite stay at Ings House Nursing Home was in May 2022. He is having another 2 week stay next week and this will now be his 3rd one (we like to call it his ‘holidays’). As he was leaving to go last time he was singing ‘We’re all going on a summer holiday’ so he is certainly happy
going and we are more than happy with the care he has received. Dad has severe walking difficulties and also suffers from Alzheimer’s and needs 24 hour care which my Mum provides with my help and support. Ings House have provided him with a home from home when Mum needs a much needed rest. The manager and staff go over and above to make him feel welcome and happy although he does ‘eat them out of house and home‘ as he loves the fantastic meals there. The staff also spend quality time with him looking at books and doing puzzles etc and he was even given a book to bring home last time about the local area and history. We cannot recommend Ings House enough, it really is a home from home.

The manager and staff have been amazing during these very difficult times. They have stayed positive and cheerful, giving wonderful support and loving care to all the residents when their relatives were not able to visit and answering all telephone queries from relatives with patience and understanding.
All the staff have gone over and above in creating a safe environment for their residents, and I cannot praise them enough. Mum is exceptionally well cared for and is happy and settled.

My husband came to the home for end of life care. He had not had particularly good experiences in his previous hospital/care home. Immediately we could see that the care in Ings House was excellent. He always looked so clean, warm and well cared for. From the beginning of his stay, staff because very
families with his needs including medication. Staff were extremely supportive of us as a family especially in the days prior to his death. I would give it the strongest possible recommendation.

We are very pleased with the level of care provided and the helpfulness of all the staff. We realise that covid precautions make visiting more complicated and add to the staff workload but we are always welcomed on our pre-booked visits and staff always respond if we have any queries. Thanks to every
one of the team.

My dear Mum, who suffers from dementia, is in lockdown with the other residents of Ings House. She has lived at the facility for over 4 years now, and I have always marvelled at how lucky I was to find this place. I have come to know the staff pretty well, and it has always felt more like a large
family than a care home. I wanted to say that, despite not being able to visit my Mum, it is a comfort to know that she is in the caring, loving hands of Ings House Nursing Home during this terrible pandemic. I am so grateful that my Mum is currently safe and well, thanks to their diligence and stringent measures to prevent infection. Thank you so much, Ings House.

My mum was fast tracked from hospital to Ings House Nursing Home, and spent the last 11 days of her life there. The establishment was clean and comfortable, with fresh, soft furnishings in all the rooms, giving a homely feel. Staff were welcoming, caring and treated Mum with all the kindness, respect
and dignity I could have wished for. They catered for all Mum's individual, personal and dietary needs and requirements in a quiet, professional manner. I was extremely satisfied with the standard of care given at Ings House.

Current Review Score: 8.2 (8.156)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.2 (8.156) out of 10 for Ings House Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.2 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Ings House Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (11 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 11 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.156 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Ings House Nursing Home is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 32 registered maximum number of service users is 6.4. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 6.4 = 0.156
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
