From the moment we looked around, we knew Dad would be safe and cared for. In the short time Dad was in Sunningdale, we got to know all the staff. Without exception, all were kind and compassionate.

We can't thank you enough.

Absolutely exceptional place and people. Everyone concerned from the ladies who keep the home spotless, to the admin team, the carers who so deserve that title, and the management. Cannot praise them enough for the amazing experience they created for my mum in her final months of life. I didn't know people could be so proffesional and efficient whilst showing so much love and care to people who were strangers to them a short time before. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend Sunningdale. Amazing in every way.

A very caring environment with plenty of TLC which is very evident from all the staff. The staff have been a credit in dealing with my mother in, at times, very difficult circumstances.

My father has late stage Alzheimer's dementia with additional complications and is a resident at Sunningdale Care Home. He has been unable to care for himself since December 2024 and had a fall at home resulting in a broken arm. He was moved from a long stay in three hospitals to Sunningdale who have looked after him in a private room where he is bed bound and has all his needs met by an effective team of carers. Additionally he needs nursing support which is provided by the efficient team of nursing staff around the clock. He cannot self help so needs to be supported with all his daily needs and has become a more settled resident over the past few months as he has got to know the friendly and caring staff. As his next of kin we are more than delighted with his care in the knowledge he is in a safe and secure home which is small and yet well staffed. The home's managers are efficient, professional and promote an atmosphere of calmness. Everything you would want from a family atmosphere

The staff goes above and beyond, and the home is always tidy and smells of clean washing. My dad is settled and up and about walking. Seven members of staff in particular have helped my dad to be independent.

Cannot thank you all enough for being so kind and caring.

Overall Experience

Mum had a fall at home last summer and spent 4 months in hospital. She lost her mobility and therefore required a nursing home. With no experience of nursing homes, this was all very frightening for Mum and so I felt a lot of pressure to make the right choice. She was incredibly immobile, confused and distressed after her time in hospital and she was so sad that she would never be going home again, but I can honestly say that bringing Mum to Sunningdale was truly the best decision I could have made for her. The carers here are so lovely and the place feels so homely. I was able to bring lots of mum's things to her room prior to her moving in which made it feel like a home from home. Mum's care has been so good that she has in fact improved dramatically and has become so much more mobile that she now no longer requires nursing care. I can't thank the staff enough for what they have done and Mum will miss everyone terribly. Thank you so much!

I had Sunningdale recommended by a friend of mine whose parent had received care and he was impressed with the home. I haven't been disappointed in choosing Sunningdale for the care of my mum. It has a really home-from-home feel and the staff and management are friendly. I feel my mum is well looked after and cared for. It's a happy home. Management is very approachable and helpful.

Excellent care and attention are given to residents. Home-from-home atmosphere. Good level of activities for residents and the amount of time carers/staff spend talking to residents is excellent. Facilities are of a high standard, and meals are of excellent quality and choice. A great community feeling!

The care and support that our dad has received since arriving at Sunningdale have been exceptional. They treat him like he is part of their own family. He is content, happy and relaxed, which is so important for us as a family to know when we are only able to see him for short periods that he is being so well cared for.

My mum's care has been excellent at Sunningdale from being classed as end of life when discharged from hospital last year, she has gained weight, can now feed herself and is even walking again. The staff have a good balance of caring and humour and we always feel welcomed when visiting mum enjoys the food and her clothes are always freshly laundered and her personal appearance always as she would like.

The overall standard is good together with the care and support we find it excellent. The staff and management treat my mother with care and dignity. With regards to value for money, we believe that we should not have sold the family home for care, given that others are being supported by the councils.

Sunningdale Nursing Home is quite small and homely, part old building with newer extension. Immediately on entry the warmth, welcome and care are experienced, it feels like someone's loved home, the staff are angels and I include the office staff, cleaners, cooks and laundry workers who are all doing their best, along with the nurses and carers to help both residents and their carers to feel loved and respected. I cannot praise them enough for their diligence.
