Overall Experience

The care and compassion given to my late uncle was fantastic. The management are very approachable with family visitors and the clients who are staying there. The office door is always open. The food served was very good, with menus to choose from. The home is kept to a very good standard. Staff team are very welcoming and always take time out if you need to ask anything. Even though my uncle resided at Stockton Lodge for a short time, he always felt at home and the care given to him, from personal care to social activities, was to an excellent standard.

Pleasant home and helpful, friendly, caring staff. The manager is approachable and always on hand if needed. Lovely home and gardens.

It’s never easy finding a care home for a loved one, but I know she is very well looked after here.

Overall Experience
My wife's mother and father have both been residents at Stockton Lodge.
The palliative care given to my father-in -law was excellent, and since his passing peacefully his wife, my mother-in-law, has been very happy and comfortable for the past three years.
The staff are beyond reproach and the management teams who have served during the time of residency have been professional and excellent.
It is a beautiful setting, the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable and the staff and volunteers are friendly and polite.

Throughout the lockdown the home has been exceptional in protecting residents and visitors while keeping families well informed.

The home itself is very homely. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable. The daily food is beautifully cooked and presented and of very good portions. The residents are constantly being reviewed about their daily needs and are taken care of in a most loving caring way. They are entertained constantly with singers and various forms of entertainment. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful in every way and have become added members of the family. The setting of the home is in a lovely woodland area which is very quiet and the central garden is an extremely pleasant place to relax and enjoy all the resident's company.

As always we had a few hiccups when my mother arrived. Speaking directly to the manager this was promptly dealt with. The care my mother has received has been wonderful. She has improved due to the care and attention the staff are giving.

I cannot praise this more highly, the staff are caring and very much into the care and wellbeing of the residents. My son was a resident there for twelve years until September 2015 when he died. He had M.S and when he was put on the (pathway) when he was in hospital and no more could be done for him. The home let him come back because it was his home, and he was blessed every day. The staff and manager were wonderful the 15 days it took for my son to close his eyes.

Staff are friendly and caring, treating residents as individuals each with there own characters. They also welcome and are thoughtful and helpful to people who visit residents. For those able to be involved there are suitable activities and a range of game activities and visiting entertainers. The environment is very pleasant with gardens and a woodland setting.

Overall Experience
When I viewed Stockton Lodge for the first time, I was touched by the homely atmosphere, and appearance of the place.
All of the staff are fantastic.
This is not just a job to them. They genuinely care about the people in their charge.

My husband is treated like one of the family, and nothing is too much trouble for them.

Residents families are also made very welcome. I feel as though I have been friends with the staff for a long time.

I couldn't believe my eyes, when I discovered the visitors coffee making facilities, and homemade cakes - which are delicious.

I really like the idea of the raised flower bed in the centre courtyard. It is great for people who love gardening.

Stockton Lodge is in a lovely location. Even though it is situated at the edge of Stockton, with a housing estate close by, one gets the feeling of being in the country. It is surrounded by trees, and has a peaceful atmosphere.

Unfortunately, my husband is 'nil by mouth', so I cannot comment on residents food.

I do know that it looks and smells good, though.

My husband loves living at Stockton Lodge, and being spoiled by all of those ladies.
