In consultation with my friend's family I wrote to the new manager in October 2025 about various concerns relating to communications and financial arrangements. The concerns had all been raised previously with various managers but there had been no satisfactory response. The new manager acted immediately
and very professionally. She investigated and communicated both in writing and in person at a meeting. We were grateful and encouraged by this approach.
Since then we have seen improvements in the organisation of the Home and in the general atmosphere.
The staff have always been very caring and kind. They seem to have responded well to more structure, training and direction. We are grateful for the good care given and for the improved communications.

From the very start the staff were amazing and could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Mum has settled in well because of the caring attitude and friendly chit-chat of the staff. Initially because of a change in management and staffing issues the room cleaning, bin emptying and lack of entertainment/activities
left a lot to be desired but this has all improved and the new manager is keen to keep working on improvements.

Mam and dad have been at Nether Place Nursing Home for 2 months now. Following our first enquiry the assessments took place very quickly and were carried out in person. We weren't familiar with the care system but the guidance and support we were given by the Finance Director was exceptional.
The
care provided is excellent, it focuses on individual needs and mam and dad have both benefited greatly from this. Mam has dementia and the care and support they have given her has been fantastic. The staff are very kind and always welcoming and approachable when we visit.
Nether Place is very homely, the food is excellent and it is in a lovely location with fantastic views.

We are very happy to have our parents in Nether Place. The staff are kind and provide excellent care, they are easy to talk to and really do provide person centred care.
Putting our parents into a home was extremely difficult but the staff here made it feel easier than expected.
The food is excellent.
The home is clean, comfortable, and warm. The rooms are great with some beautiful views over Keswick.

The first assessment was quickly organised and carried out at Mother's house for our convenience. Admission was straightforward and Mother settled in straight away. The location of the home is good, with excellent views. The staff are caring and considerate. Facilities are excellent. Food is very good
and supplied at all times of the day. Visitors are always made extremely welcome.

My experience has been very good overall. Mum was placed at Nether Place under the Mental Health Act. This centre was chosen because of its excellent care ethics. I am above all impressed with the staff. They are indeed very caring and full of empathy for the residents and their families.

I have visited my brother on a regular basis for over 4 years at Nether Place.
I cannot speak too highly regarding the care and love he receives from all who are responsible for his care, which is of the highest possible standard. Nobody 'goes through the motions'. He is a member of the family!
My
brother has had to be looked after in one form or another for over 60 years. The standards here far exceed what has gone before. Nether Place should read 'Amazing Place'.

I have been very impressed by the care my mother has received the last 2 years. She has a very complex illness and it has been managed by the home extremely well.
The home is always welcoming and the staff are patient, listen and kind.
