We had hoped that Mam would stay permanently but she decided she's rather try to cope at home. It's a real shame as we love the home. Staff are very kind and caring which really lifts some of the worry and gives peace of mind. There was
Catering always looked lovely and everytime we went in someone was going from room to soon sorting out drinks and checking on less mobile residents. Management were very approachable and helpful and there was always access to medical support.
We are so grateful to everyone at the home for being amazing.

I find managing the care home very rewarding because it allows me to ensure that care is tailored to the individual needs of our residents, embracing a truly person-centred approach. During my time at The Village Nursing Home, I have gained a great deal of knowledge, particularly about end-of-life care, which I feel is the greatest privilege that you can do to help another person. I love working as the Housekeeper at The Village, overseeing the domestic and laundry team. I find my job very rewarding and enjoy it very much. I love chatting and interacting with the residents on a daily basis and love how friendly everyone is, working as a team to support our residents.
After my elderly parents passed away, I decided that I would love to work with the elderly and started working as an activity coordinator. Having a total career change, this was the best decision I have ever made! I find my job really rewarding, although it can at times be challenging. I really feel that I make a difference in our resident’s lives; they look forward to seeing me every day, as I do them. I enjoy doing this job as no two days are the same. The atmosphere amongst the staff that work here is very good and I also enjoy spending time with the residents and having a good chitchat.
