Funding & Fees

Fees are determined by the Local Authority in which the resident lived prior to admission, rather than by a standard home rate. Each resident’s fees are assessed individually based on their personal circumstances.
Following a financial assessment, the Local Authority may determine that the resident contributes part of the cost, contributes fully, or receives financial assistance. Residents with savings above the threshold are required to self fund.
In some cases, depending on assessed medical needs, funding may be provided by the Local Health Board through Continuing Health Care (CHC).
As this is a nursing home, Funded Nursing Care (FNC) is automatically applied.

All residents receive regular reviews to ensure their fees remain accurate and appropriate.

Please note that toiletries and chiropody services are chargeable.

Review from S J (Sister of Resident) published on 10 February 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My sister has been in Plas Eleri since September and I have been amazed how happy she has become. Behaviour in other places involved aggression and non compliance. Here, she is smiling constantly, calmer and more involved in relating to activities and staff, who are caring and attentive to her needs. She no longer wants " to escape" but says staff are kind and good people,so she is comfortable in her home.
I have appreciated being kept updated on her changing needs and allowed to visit at any time, sharing in entertainments and visiting groups.

For the first time in many years, this Home cares for my sister in a commendable way and I would advise anyone with a relative needing Nursing Care to consider placement here.

Plas Eleri has a hygiene rating of 5 and I totally agree with this.Since my husband entered the home in October2021- he has been washed shaved impeccably and the laundry department is outstanding. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming and the food standard is most acceptable.

I personally have found mum's Care excellent. She is treated with love and kindness. I know that she is cosy and cared for. The staff have been very kind and patient over the years. Every time I visit the ambience is very calm, clean and friendly. There is a hug offered even for families in difficult times when the visit comes to an end. The staff are fabulous.

I am more than happy to recommend Plas Eleri. My husband has been a resident for almost two years and I can't fault the care he has received. All the staff are very kind and caring and the home is kept very clean. I am impressed by the food my husband receives and the choices the residents have.

They have always listened to any concerns I might have had about my husbands health and have been quick to respond. The home has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. All the staff are very welcoming and have always treated me with kindness. They are almost like a second family. I feel a lot less stressed knowing my husband is settled and in good hands.

My mum has been at Plas Eleri for 15 years !
The care is very good and whilst inevitably there has been many changes over those 15 yrs the care has remained to a good standard.
Staff come and go but there is always experienced staff there at the centre of everything.
From being mobile and communicative to non- mobile and fully dependent the staff have given mum the best care throughout.

From all members of staff credit should be given ie: laundry staff, cleaning staff to care staff they work so hard to deliver the best care for all residents . Thanks to you all at Plas Eleri

The staff at Plas Eleri are wonderful, they are compassionate, incredibly skilled and dedicated. Our mum was only with them for a few weeks, but throughout that time, she was so well cared for. We are very grateful for all they did.

My mum has been here for the last nine months. The care she is receiving is out of this world... the staff are brilliant with Mum. The staff are also here for us as well. The food is amazingly prepared by the chef. The staff are great and down to earth. They keep you up to date with any information. There are activities Mum can do and join in with.

The home is clean and tidy. I am so grateful that Mum is Plas Eldri, as I know she is safe and well cared for.

My sister was a resident of Plas Eleri for over 10 years, she had the best of care, the home is clean and the staff are brilliant could not have asked for better carers, not just for my sister but they helped me enormously. They cared for her until she passed away I am extremely grateful for all they did and can not thank them enough.
