Llantrisant Care Home Reviews (6)
Over all time Llantrisant Care Home has 6 reviews.
We were overwhelmed by the genuine affection and compassion that was shown to her during her time at the home.
As a team, they truly understood her personality and great sense of humour.
Her weekly visits to the beauty salon were a highlight for her.
She enjoyed the odd lager in the bar and certainly enjoyed all the varied entertainment (singers, dancers, quizzes, bingo - too numerous to mention!)
You welcomed us as a family with your 'open door' policy.
At the end of her time with you, you enabled her to retain her dignity and allowed her to pass peacefully and more importantly, pain-free.
We would like to thank the home from the bottom of our hearts.
'Not all superheroes wear capes'.
A lot of things on the list like; phones in rooms, Internet for residents, etc isn't actually true. Internet is for the workers. Entertainment is for a few downstairs, if your loved one is upstairs, they are basically in a bed till death. Basic rooms, only have one chair in ours. TV and that's it. Cleaning products (bought by us) keep going missing/getting used very fast (300ml in a day) food is very basic, mostly mashed potato most days. Left waiting at the door for a while many times. Dogs allowed, just not ours for some reason. Claims made she bit someone, not even sure who and when (not true) water keeps being cut off to the room (don't know how they use so much cleaning supplies when there isn't any water) staff sat around on phones quite often, room beepers going off for ages. Shouting down the halls. Lack of respect for any of the residents. Don't send your loved one here.
After a long struggle with mental illness and previously residing in residential care, subsequent to two falls and a mini-stroke, I placed mum in Llantrisant Care Home.
She had refused to walk or get out of bed in hospital but soon after arriving at Llantrisant Care Home she was sitting up and joining in with other residents. Unfortunately, she took a downward turn due to infection and found it difficult to swallow. Llantrisant Care Home was supportive and guided me through the difficult times and it was evident that the utmost was done to make mum comfortable during the last stage of her life. I can’t praise Llantrisant Care Home enough for their efforts, attitude and friendly, caring staff.Nothing was too much trouble.
My brother and I and family are more than pleased with Llantrisant Care Home. If mam could understand we are sure she would live at the home. She is treated with dignity always smiling and singing. Can't fault anyone at the home. All are brill.
I would highly recommend Llantrisant Care Home to any family looking for a safe and friendly environment for their loved ones.
After looking for a home for my 99-year-old mother, I was happy with this care home. Nice room with toilet and wash hand basin all clean and tidy and staff very helpful. My mother is very happy here after living on her own. She likes it as everything is done for her.
