I was already happy with Lakeside Nursing Home, but the new owners and leadership team have elevated the care even further. Most importantly, my mum has settled in incredibly well, has healthily gained weight and is genuinely very happy. This gives me absolute peace of mind. The team constantly introduces innovative ways to enhance the home and improve residents' daily lives. Their level of deep personal care and thoughtfulness sets them apart. I especially want to thank Edgar, Jade and Matron who have all been brilliant in driving these positive changes forward. Their communication and transparency are outstanding. I am incredibly grateful to both the wonderful new leadership and the dedicated existing staff. This amazing care team and innovative leadership make this home truly exceptional.

My mother has been a resident at Lakeside House for almost 18 months and we have just celebrated her second birthday in care here. This prompted me to submit a review as I know how difficult it is to 'hand a loved one over' to the care of someone else and hope my thoughts help. Since living at Lakeside House my mum has been treated with respect, care and good humour at every moment. Now that Covid restrictions are easier I can drop in for a visit whenever I like and always find her beautifully cared for. All her everyday needs are looked after to the letter but care goes beyond that. Although there is always a great activity calendar for residents, my mum prefers to stay in her room. The staff therefore always ensure they pop their heads in to say hello when they are just passing her room, stop for a chat if they have the time and are always so pleasant and friendly giving me reports on how she has been whilst I've not been there. I feel relaxed and reassured and want to say thank you.
