My partner went into Blanefield House at the end of January. From her first day she has been settled. The managment and staff have been outstanding in giving her the space and freedom within the home to allow her to be herself as much as is possible. The staff are great with her and always know where
she is whenever I turn up for a visit. They never seem rushed or hurried, and have been excellent in keeping me up to date with her condition.
She origionally went into Blanefield Houses for respite care, but due to the homely, intimate nature of Blanefield, and the care shown by the staff, I have had no hesitation in placing my partner there permanently.

I would highly recommend Blanefield Care Home to anyone thinking about care for a loved one. The place is a home from home and my Mum is very happy there. The staff are excellent and know the residents so well, making sure each one is made to feel safe, comfortable and cared for. It's like one big happy
family and you are made to feel so welcome when you visit.

Our mum, who has Alzheimer's, has been a resident in Blanefield House since March. As soon as we entered the home it felt right.
We visited a few care homes prior to this one but what stood out for us here was the time the manager spent with us wanting to know about mum and her vast knowledge on dementia
ticked another box for us.
Every member of staff treats you warmly and could not be anymore helpful. There is a homely atmosphere here that other places, in our view, lacked.
Our mum is treated with kindness and respect which is the most important thing to us.
We as a family cannot fault Blanefield House and we highly recommend it.

I am so happy with the care my nanny receives at Blanefield house. The care & understanding shown by all staff, management, activity & service providers is clear from the minute you walk through the door. Always smiling & available to give updates.
My nanny has Alzheimer's & has been a resident nearly
3 years. She has thrived in this environment, loves the food & most importantly all the staff.
I write this review now, because I am so grateful for the support & compassion my nanny receives even with her needs increasing & requiring more attention now.
They know her so well & adapt to her eccentricities like making sure they have another meal for her should she wander to the other dining room during dinner, which she often does.
There's a wide variety of activities to join, hairdressing facilities, & of course a happy hour too!
My nanny couldn't be more content and I couldn't be happier knowing she's safe, loved & look after when I'm not there with her.
Best described as home from home.

However the fact that you know your nanny is safe here with us when you cant be with her is just so heartwarming to hear. Your nanny at times brightens up my day when I meet her in the corridor and she laughs at my stupid jokes, I sometimes google one for her just to make her giggle. We're so grateful for the care my grandmother received at Blanefield House. From day one, the staff made her feel welcome and truly listened to her needs. The home is well-kept, with comfy rooms and inviting communal spaces. There's a great range of activities to keep residents engaged, and the meals
are both tasty and tailored to individual diets. What really stands out is the kindness and respect shown by every team member-they don't just provide care; they create a real home. We wholeheartedly recommend Blanefield House to anyone seeking a nurturing environment for their loved ones.

As a family we were really anxious about putting my mother in law in care, but we knew the time had come. Firstly the level of care is excellent and now 6 years on I can't speak highly enough regarding carers and Manager they go 'over and above' to ensure the Blanefield 'family' is well cared for and

My Mum has been a different person since she went into full time care at Blanefield, she has really settled well.
Just to know that she is safe, and being well looked after is a huge relief for the family.
The staff are great and keep us posted with regular updates of her needs and wellbeing.

My Mum went into Blanefield House Care Home last August and I can honestly say that I am delighted all aspects of her Care.
Initially, I was reluctant to "let go " of my responsibilities in relation to Mum's care but am so glad that I chose Blanefield House as it has proven to be the best place
I could have wished for.
Everyone involved in Mum's Care have gone the extra mile to welcome her and now she feels part of the family, as do I.
We are updated regularly and when visiting are made to feel most welcome.Nothing is too much trouble and there is always a cheery atmosphere.
We have been encouraged to bring things from home, photographs and family mementos to personalise her bedroom.
I would not hesitate in recommending this place for your loved ones and I'm so glad I took my time and found the perfect place

My mum has advanced dementia and is currently a resident for a week's respite care. We visited yesterday.
Given my mum is often unsettled at the best of times, I was quite anxious about how she had been. But I could not have been more delighted with the home and the staff. She was settled, enjoyed
meeting people, enjoyed the food and everything.
The staff have that rarest quality: they actually take a personal interest in genuinely caring about the residents.
I highly recommend Blanefield House Care Home and cannot praise it highly enough.

My mum spent a week in Blanefield House for a respite break. On arrival, the staff made her feel so welcome and also gave me the reassurance that Mum would be well cared for and safe. There was such a lovely feel when you walked through the door. My mum had a lovely stay and praised the staff for their
caring attentiveness to her needs. All my family and friends who visited my mum said she always looked content and well cared for. This was of great comfort to me to know. Mum is due another visit in May and is looking forward to it. Thanks to all the staff and management team.

My mum was a resident in Blanefield House for 6-days for end of life care. I was so pleased Mum was transferred to Blanefield House even if it was for end of life care. The manager is excellent and all the staff are very caring. I, myself, am a retired district nurse, sister and midwife, and I would

Blanefield House Care Home takes on a holistic approach to care. The staff not only care greatly for the residents but appear aware of the needs of family members who are visiting the home. The staff are always helpful and cheery and there is an ethos of positivity and calm. The staff are knowledgeable,
well informed and show sensitivity in all situations.
My mum was a resident there from June to October. The care she received was of a high standard and the staff were able to form positive bonds with my mum and the family. We are extremely thankful to Blanefield House Care Home for making the last days of my mum’s life so peaceful for her and the family.

My mother was in this care home for respite and I can't fault this home for anything. Manager and staff very friendly, helpful and caring. Room was kept clean and tidy. Mother was made to feel at ease and staff were so helpful and caring towards her. I would definitely recommend this home to everyone.

My father had an emergency admission to this care home as he had been falling at home and his Alzheimers had deteriorated. The home manager was excellent in assisting at a difficult time and the staff have been outstanding with my dad. He has improved tremendously and although he is moving to another
care home, this is only as he is moving to be nearer to me.

A wonderful welcome awaits everyone. All staff are very kind, interested and helpful. They try their best to get to know and fully understand all residents, even if a resident is difficult. My husband is currently here for respite funded by the local authority.

Friendly and caring staff, all staff willing to assist and be helpful at all times and visitors catered for as well.
Personal care ie personal hygiene, washing of clothes, all to a very satisfying standard.
Activities are also helpful and are organised.
Meals are of a high standard and well organised.
Access
to the outer world is allowed by friends arranging day outings as from time to time.
Staff keep friends and family informed of the resident's health and welfare.

My husband has been in Blanefield House Care Home for over one year. As regards staff, all of them down to the domestics and kitchen staff, I cannot praise them enough for their loving, understanding care. Such a homely, friendly atmosphere. A home from home. Rooms kept so clean (always going round
inspecting rooms). One suggesting for residents with dementia is nice background music that they can associate with. That is not to say they don't have music but perhaps a bit more thought out. Some residents are beyond watching films, doing games etc.
