This home should not be considered if your family member has Vascular Dementia. Vascular Dementia is a progressive illness. The home was fully aware of Mum's diagnosis prior to admission, yet was unable to cope with her illness. Mum lost her place in the home we entrusted with her care after a very
short time. Abbeyvale, please don't accept residents if you don't have the specialised knowledge, equipment and time to care for them.
