In Jan "25 mum's illness became worse and was sent to A&E with low oxygen levels. After time in hospital it was evident her treatment was not working. The staff asked for mum to return to the home, so they could look after her personal needs. They got her room ready for her return. Everything was so warm and cosy, after the stark hospital room. There was low music playing in the back ground. Mum was visibly happy to be back to her own surroundings. Mum passed away on 4th January. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail was just right for mum right to the end. I appreciate everything they have done.
I believe Mum is more engaged now because of the stimulation of more company, and more going on. I've been very impressed with the warmth and kindness of the staff who are looking after Mum so well, they have set my mind at ease both in person and if I've rung to ask about how she is. Staff clearly know the residents as individuals, providing families with lots of detailed information and insight about their loved one, and reassurance.
