Management and staff were very welcoming, and the facility offered very much of what was required.
The facility overall has been extremely good. The single rooms are spacious and comfortable, and are safety monitored, and CCTV is used to alert staff of any issues.
The staff are extremely good and go above and beyond with resident interaction. Carers take time to ensure the well-being of residents.
Meals are very sensible and well presented, tea, coffee, juice and snacks are always available.
Medical and welfare are well organised, and residents' needs are met and monitored. The family of residents are updated on any issue.
Laundering of residents' clothes works well in general. Rooms have plenty of wardrobe and drawer space.
Resident lounges are well equipped and comfortable, well furnished, well maintained and clean. There is a function room and a residents' bar/lounge, which leads to well-maintained terraces and a garden area. This outside area will be used in good weather for the benefit of residents.
The buildings are normally kept comfortably warm, and some form of forced ventilation would be of advantage to residents and staff in warm weather.
In general, Forebank is well run in a pragmatic fashion and provides residents with a high standard of care.
