Great Nursing Home and there has been a wonderful sea-change since the new owners took over around Easter time this year. Residents are benefitting from updated facilities and changes to the infrastructure! A happy home for residents!

My sister spent a short period of time at The County after becoming ill at home during her time there before she sadly passed away in the hospital. I found the staff to be very friendly and professional. As I lived in England it was difficult for me to visit my sister, so the only contact I had was
by telephone. The staff were helpful and answered all my questions professionally and with courtesy, allowing me the opportunity to speak to my sister on the phone. On my visits, it was no trouble for them to allow me time to review and discuss my sister's care plans. The grounds are very pleasant and on entering the home it presents as clean and tidy. As someone who works and has experience in nursing homes, I am aware of the things that need to be looked at when a resident is admitted to a care home, so I was pleased with the impressions I was left with at The County. I would have no problems in recommending The County to anyone looking for a care home.

The care given by all the staff i.e nurses, care assistant, domestics, occupational therapists is second to none. They are all very caring, thorough in their work- very professional but I feel that the level of staffing is insufficient. The floor staff always seems to be hurrying from one task to another
and I think if they had more time to just sit for 5 minutes with someone would mean a lot. I watch them try and spend a little time with residents but then its too short. Less paperwork would help. Voluntary workers might help but this care home uses schools etc to entertain residents. Excellent.
