Overall Experience
Mum got transferred to knockmoyle after a very rocky distressing stay at a previous home.
On arrival mum was greeted with so much warmth and kindness...staff literally took mum and washed her hair as she arrived In a disheveled state from previous care home.
Mums health and wellbeing started to improve as each week passed with the kindness and dedication of all staff at knockmoyle.
She stated to eat again...she looked clean tidy every day ...her mood improved as each day went by.
The staff at knockmoyle get to know their residents and it is easy and clear to see this. They are completely dedicated to providing a warm safe homely environment that is full of activities and lovely meals always wel staffed.
We feel mum is being cared for in the highest standard possible and we are very grateful for each member of staff in knockmoyle care home .

Iv worked in healthcare for 25 years and this is certainly the highest standard of care Iv ever seen in a nursing home environment.

Overall Experience
Our mum was transferred from another nursing home to Knockmoyle Lodge in June 2025 with full-blown delirium from a UTI and a broken wrist after a fall. It was an awful and devastating time for her and for us as a family, especially as we had always cared for her ourselves until she went into care for her safety in April 2025.
From the moment she arrived, everything changed. We were met with outstanding care, composure and genuine compassion, which have remained consistent ever since. The staff took time to truly understand Mum's needs and worked with her in the most gentle, patient and respectful way.
Through the collective efforts of the whole team, Mum moved from distress and anxiety to comfort and contentment. She is now settled in her own wee way, and we have complete trust in the wonderful staff at Knockmoyle Lodge.

We are deeply grateful for the kindness, professionalism, and dedication they show every day. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
