Saint Jude Care Home

Our mum has been in Saint Jude's since November. She is cared for amazingly. There are lots of activities which she gets involved in. She is safe, all the staff are fantastic with her. I can sleep at night knowing she is there.

In selecting care facilities for my mum, I visited5 or 6 options in Crosby. Typically they all offered the same services, walked me round the facility and that was largely it. At SJ, Amanda. The manager spent considerable time asking me about my mum, her care needs, and all about her as a person. This was the deal maker for me - she cared about the residents under her care and this was clear in all of her team as well. They worked hard to get a quick check in for mum - 3 days into a respite room then moved her soon after into a more permanent room which was to become her sanctuary. All of the staff had time for mum at any time of day and were welcoming of all her many visitors and telephone calls (mum was a very sociable person) which helped her acclimatize to her new home after 65 years in her own house. we felt comfortable knowing she was happy and it showed in her involvement in the activities as the staff supported her. It was the perfect choice for her.

Mum has been at St Jude's since last November and we couldn't be more pleased with the decision to choose this care home. She receives excellent care and attention from a dedicated team of staff. They notice when she isn't herself and are proactive in contacting us when necessary. Residents are treated with respect and their dignity maintained throughout. I would highly recommend.

I haven't got a bad word to say. I am so pleased with the home and staff. My mum is well looked after any problems the staff inform me straight away. The staff put my mum first if they saw her struggling. Would recommend Saint Judes to anyone with a loved one or friend to be looked after.

Staff and management are on hand day and night, safety is paramount for residents at all times. So happy to have a place here for our dad.

What a beautiful place. My grandad is 93 and is so confused but the staff and residents have made him feel at home straight away. They sing, watch movies together, do colouring in, they even had a little party today for St Patrick's day. The staff are so friendly and have welcomed my grandad with open arms. I'm so glad he got a place at St Judes.

I really can't thank everyone of the staff for looking after my mum, they are truly are amazing.I went today they were all celebrating Saint Patrick's Day , the room was decorated amazing, all the residents laughing. They do this for all occasions. I would absolutely recommend this nursing home to anyone thinking of putting any member of their family in care.

My mum has been at Saint jude care home for good few months now ,and I can not thank all the staff enough they are absolutely brilliant ,the care they give my mum is great ,they go above and beyond would give this care home 10 out off 10 and more just amazing .

Saint Jude's Care Home provided exceptional care during my grandmother's stay of several months. She thrived in the environment and received outstanding attention. The staff were exemplary, consistently exceeding expectations. The rooms were attractive, bright, and impeccably clean. Furthermore, the food was delicious and offered a wide selection.

Mum has been a resident at St Jude since April 2024. I visit on a regular basis and have found management and staff to be kind, caring and understanding of Mum's needs. Mum is well looked after, always clean and comfortable. She eats well, the menus being varied and healthy. The staff respond quickly to any physical changes and ensure Mum has prompt nursing attention, making sure we are kept informed. As a family, we are reassured that all mum's needs are met and we thank management and staff for their care and attention.

Staff are very friendly and helpful and treat everyone with dignity and respect. The home is always very clean. It's in a very good location near shops and eating places. The beach is just up the road.

My Mum is a resident of St Judes and has been for nearly three years. The staff here are always friendly and welcoming. They care for Mum so well, nothing is too much trouble and give time to each resident to understand their individual requirements. Knowing Mum is cared for so well gives me peace of mind and allows me to spend quality time with her when I visit. I couldn’t wish for Mum to live in a better place. Seeing her happy, settled and safe is a credit to the wonderful staff who work there.

A difficult and complex process was made to feel as simple as possible in terms of admission into the home, for which we were really grateful to the team. The home was very welcoming and gave us great peace of mind.

My mum has spent two bouts of respite care at Saint Jude and I cannot praise them enough for the care and service they provided. Even before Mum was taken in, the help and support given was excellent. Mum was treated with the upmost respect and dignity whilst at Saint Jude and found it a great and caring place to recuperate. If Mum needed to go into care permanently then I would be on the phone to the director and her team in a heartbeat and would have no hesitation in recommending to anybody looking for first class care! A massive thank you to all the team that make Saint Jude the excellent care home that it is.

I’m extremely grateful to the staff at Saint Jude for allowing my dad to go back there (from hospital) for his end of life care. Everyone was very kind and caring towards both him and me and that enabled him to have a very peaceful death.

During her stay, Mum was always treated with dignity and respect and I was struck by the friendly atmosphere of the home that felt like a big family. Mum would be happy to stay there again, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend St Jude's to anyone else looking for a care home.

A huge thank you to all the wonderful staff at Saint Jude Care Home who made my mum's respite stay a wonderful experience for her. The time, patience, love and care given to my mum was incredible and resulted in my mum coming on in bounds, displaying happiness and with communication and compliance returning. I would not hesitate to recommend Saint Jude Care Home.

Mum has just left St Jude's after a four-month recuperation stay. She had a wonderful time and was treated with what I can only call the very best care. The management and the staff are helpful, kind and extremely professional. All of Mum's care needs were taken care of in the most efficient way. I can't recommend St Jude's highly enough; we were so happy she stayed here. My sister and I would like to thank the director and the staff for all they have done.

After being at St Jude's for nearly a year, my father passed away in November, aged 99 years. I will always be grateful for the excellent care and friendships given by all the staff and management; they are like one big family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend St Jude's Care Home to anyone.
