Saint Jude Care Home has over 40 years of experience, during which it has built up a strong community reputation for a service based on values of choice, independence, dignity and privacy.

Staff look to interact positively with residents, getting to understand their personal needs and preferences, with services enhanced by a homely interior that is ideal for those with reduced mobility.

To all the staff at St Jude's,
Sending our heartfelt thanks for all the love and kind support you gave to our 97-year-old mum during her brief time at your wonderfully caring care home.
She felt at home from the start, settling in remarkably well and quickly making friends.
We would especially like
to thank the young carer who sat at mum's bedside all night and was still holding her hand when she passed away so peacefully.
It was a compassionate act, testimony to the high quality of care mum received during a stay we wish had begun earlier and lasted longer.
You deserve our abiding gratitude.

My mum has Alzheimer's disease, I chose this him for her as it was suitable for her. It is a big house and only a small group of people which I find easier.
I haven't got a bad word to say. I am so pleased with the home and staff. My mum is well looked after any problems the staff inform me straight
away. The staff put my mum first if they saw her struggling. Would recommend Saint Judes to anyone with a loved one or friend to be looked after.

Support for our dad has been amazing, the staff are so caring and helpful. The rooms are clean, bright and comfortable, there is a beautiful lounge with a large T V and a very large sunshine room overlooking a large garden. There are lots of activities for the residents and everyone is happy. Residents
are treated with dignity and care at all times. Food is home made and caters for every one ,s appetite.
Staff and management are on hand day and night, safety is paramount for residents at all times. So happy to have a place here for our dad.

What a beautiful place. My grandad is 93 and is so confused but the staff and residents have made him feel at home straight away. They sing, watch movies together, do colouring in, they even had a little party today for St Patrick's day. The staff are so friendly and have welcomed my grandad with open

I really can't thank everyone of the staff for looking after my mum, they are truly are amazing.I went today they were all celebrating Saint Patrick's Day , the room was decorated amazing, all the residents laughing. They do this for all occasions. I would absolutely recommend this nursing home to anyone

Mum has been a resident at St Jude since April 2024. I visit on a regular basis and have found management and staff to be kind, caring and understanding of Mum's needs. Mum is well looked after, always clean and comfortable. She eats well, the menus being varied and healthy. The staff respond quickly
to any physical changes and ensure Mum has prompt nursing attention, making sure we are kept informed. As a family, we are reassured that all mum's needs are met and we thank management and staff for their care and attention.

Staff are very friendly and helpful and treat everyone with dignity and respect. The home is always very clean. It's in a very good location near shops and eating places. The beach is just up the road.

My Mum is a resident of St Judes and has been for nearly three years. The staff here are always friendly and welcoming. They care for Mum so well, nothing is too much trouble and give time to each resident to understand their individual requirements. Knowing Mum is cared for so well gives me peace of
mind and allows me to spend quality time with her when I visit. I couldn’t wish for Mum to live in a better place. Seeing her happy, settled and safe is a credit to the wonderful staff who work there.

My mum has spent two bouts of respite care at Saint Jude and I cannot praise them enough for the care and service they provided. Even before Mum was taken in, the help and support given was excellent. Mum was treated with the upmost respect and dignity whilst at Saint Jude and found it a great and caring
place to recuperate. If Mum needed to go into care permanently then I would be on the phone to the director and her team in a heartbeat and would have no hesitation in recommending to anybody looking for first class care! A massive thank you to all the team that make Saint Jude the excellent care home that it is.

I’m extremely grateful to the staff at Saint Jude for allowing my dad to go back there (from hospital) for his end of life care. Everyone was very kind and caring towards both him and me and that enabled him to have a very peaceful death.

I can't thank the owner and the team at St Jude's enough for the care and support that they provided to my mother during her stay to recuperate after a lengthy spell in hospital had left her very frail. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, she was able to regain her strength and return home to
live independently again.
When I visited St Jude's, the owner took the time to show me around and we spoke at length about Mum's situation and particular care needs. There was an attention to detail that was glaringly absent at some of the other homes I visited in the area and she was very helpful, providing advice and support to me when I was making arrangements with the hospital.
During her stay, Mum was always treated with dignity and respect and I was struck by the friendly atmosphere of the home that felt like a big family. Mum would be happy to stay there again, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend St Jude's to anyone else looking for a care home.

A huge thank you to all the wonderful staff at Saint Jude Care Home who made my mum's respite stay a wonderful experience for her. The time, patience, love and care given to my mum was incredible and resulted in my mum coming on in bounds, displaying happiness and with communication and compliance returning.

Mum has just left St Jude's after a four-month recuperation stay. She had a wonderful time and was treated with what I can only call the very best care. The management and the staff are helpful, kind and extremely professional. All of Mum's care needs were taken care of in the most efficient way. I

After being at St Jude's for nearly a year, my father passed away in November, aged 99 years. I will always be grateful for the excellent care and friendships given by all the staff and management; they are like one big family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend St Jude's Care Home to anyone.

My mother recently passed away after spending around 18 months at St Jude. She was looked after extremely well while there; the team were really kind and attentive to my mother's needs, which were considered due to her advanced age. I would certainly recommend it to others.

I personally cannot recommend St Jude Care Home enough. My mum is a resident of this home, and her care is, as far as I am concerned, an excellent standard. She is thriving and is very settled. I have visited on many occasions, and St Jude cannot be faulted. It is clean; the staff are lovely, welcoming,
caring and very attentive. Fantastic staff who really go above and beyond.

Jennifer took ownership of Saint Jude Care Home with her husband Greg in 2014. Since then they have extended the home from 17 to 22 bedrooms and built a reputation for delivering high standards of care.


Being a family-run business means Saint Jude's can offer a very personal service tailored not only to the residents but to their families too.


'We treat our residents as an extension of our own family and families feel reassured with this approach. Sometimes people are surprised to find us so involved with the business from hosting events, assisting with day-to-day running and admissions etc, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We like to get to know all of our families and friends on a personal level and that way we get to build their trust and enable them to feel they can approach us at any time. They soon become good friends and those lasting relationships are important to us.'


'We love to host events and that's when we really demonstrate our teamwork as a family. We all get involved in planning, decorating, entertainment and catering. Even our children help out running the raffles and our dog Monty loves to pop in too!'
