Wellbeing Day Centre

The Wellbeing Day Centre, is an extension of The Dell Care Home, and was officially opened on 15th May 2017, by Councillor Mary Rudd, Deputy Mayor of Lowestoft.

Wellbeing Day Centre supports adults aged 65 and over, who would benefit from day care support within Suffolk and the surrounding towns and villages. The centre provides a place where people can socialise, enjoy events, interests and activities.

Wellbeing Day Centre also offers vital respite to families and carers, providing them time to attend to other responsibilities, outside of their caring role.

It is a flexible service, to ensure that support can be accessed as and when needed. This includes full day and half day support options. It can take a client at short notice and clients/carers can change days, to attend appointments etc.

Skilled and friendly care workers are on hand to make sure each client makes the most of the service, making the effort to get to know individual needs and preferences and providing loved ones with the respect they deserve.

Staff use a preventative approach, aiming to keep clients active and independent, prolonging the need for long-term care away from their family.

There is an extensive suite of activities, which address and support positive wellbeing, including; art therapy, creative writing etc. It has a trained, skilled and knowledgeable staff team, supporting those with physical, mental and social health care needs, in a community-based setting. Read less
