I feel my brother has come along way since he's been at Ty Arfryn. He has come out of his shell more and is able to do and speak more than he did before he went in. My brother is happy and settled. The staff are great, friendly helpful and have his best interests at heart. Ty Arfryn is welcoming and cosy. My only concerns are my brothers weight and sleep patterns.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We are delighted to hear that your brother is happy, feels safe, and is receiving the support he needs at Ty Arfryn. Your comments will be shared with the team, who work hard to provide high-quality, person-centred care every day. We appreciate your continued support and are pleased that your brother is having such a positive experience.
My very good friend moved into Ty Arfryn nearly two years ago. I spent many sleepless nights worrying about how well she would be looked after, and how the staff would interact with her, as she is not the easiest person to look after, much as I love her. I am sleeping much better now, as she has settled in so well. The staff there have all been amazing, and I could not praise them enough for the care and support they provide for her. I had hoped that she would never have to go into a care home, as I thought that she would receive more love and care in a home setting, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The staff are always fresh for their shifts, not worn out after constantly caring for residents, so are able to give their best for the people they support. I really appreciate all they do for the people they support.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. Reading this has made me really proud, and I know the team will be thrilled to see how much their hard work and passion for making a difference to people's lives has been recognised. We appreciate it.
I just wanted to write an updated review. I stated I was ready to move on, I was honest with everyone and told them I didn't feel quite ready and would rather wait until at least after Christmas. Everyone was absolutely fine with it. I'm now enjoying baking other residents' birthday cakes which makes me feel valued and also me and my key worker have arranged a trip together on one of my trigger dates to do autumn and winter clothes shopping which I'm looking forward to. I have now settled in nicely to one of the semi-independence flats within the house which I prefer and am in charge of doing my own medication. So things still going well but I know I have more time here now which puts my mind at ease.
This is so heart-warming to read. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review that truly captures the heart of what Ty Arfryn is all about positive support that is delivered in a person-centred way at a pace that suits the individual. It has been our pleasure and privilege to support you on your journey so far.
I have always found the staff friendly and helpful. I think they do their best to create a pleasant atmosphere for the residents while helping them to cope with their situations. They encourage them to be as independent as they can be.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review and for highlighting the work and efforts of the staff team at Ty Arfryn, we appreciate it. It is a pleasure to support your daughter and be part of her journey.
Six years I have been living in Ty Arfryn, honestly really grateful to have such a unique opportunity in my residential home Ty Arfryn after coming out of the rehab ward. Ty Arfryn has honestly helped me with everything I can do today and still learning with advice and guidance every single day. To me personally feels exactly like my second family, who helped me to walk, talk and become active in life again. we did woodwork, a Ty Arfryn house sign by the entrance by the road and a lot of garden work, cycling and returning to the gym. The reason for this explanation is to show how much of a massive impact Ty Arfryn has had in my rehabilitation opportunity I'm grateful to have in life again.
Thank you so much for writing such a detailed review and sharing part of your rehabilitation journey. We feel just as lucky to have had the opportunity to get to know and spend time with you, and it has been our pleasure to support you in reaching your goals and targets along the way; we are proud of how far you have come. Keep reaching for the stars, because we are all behind you.
Since arriving at Ty Arfryn my daughter has blossomed and thrived. The staff give 100% commitment to ensuring she has their full support looking after all aspects of her daily living requirements. She is making massive strides in reaching some personal goals and becoming more confident in the community. She is now able to use public transport, go shopping, cook meals, volunteer for two hours in a charity shop, attend 'Huts' which involves activities such as craft work (a full day out long bus journey), attend 'mind' therapeutic day service two hours once weekly, all with support of a member of staff which at in the past appeared impossible for her. The staff are wonderful and they have the most fantastic manager resulting in a top care team second to none...thank you guys for all your efforts, and kindness towards my daughter.
Thank you so much for such a beautiful review. This was truly heart-warming to read. It has been an absolute pleasure supporting your daughter on her journey with us, and we are very proud of how far she has come. Thank you for your continuous support and lovely communications with our team.
I am so grateful to the staff and care I get. My life has changed so much. I feel safe in Ty Arfryn. I have achieved so much. I feel my confidence has increased. I now go on a bus. I volunteer in a charity shop. I go to HUTS. I attend mind. Which I never would have expected.Thank you to everyone. Much love.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It has been a pleasure supporting you on your life's journey and your journey with us at Ty Arfryn. We appreciate you taking the time to share these kind words.
The manager is one of the funniest people I have ever met and never fails to make me laugh even at my lowest. The staff have banter with us that lightens everyone's day and makes the home feel less like a care home and more like a family home.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review, Chloe. It is lovely to read such positive and heart warming comments about the support you have received.
My sister has had fantastic care here. The staff are kind, caring and go out of their way day in day out to ensure the best possible care. Ty Arfryn has been a cornerstone in my sisters progress, without them we would be unsure what the future would hold. For my family, the house has helped to ease our worry and has helped us all. We are very grateful and can’t thank every member of the team.
Thank you for such a lovely review. We are extremely pleased you are satisfied with the level of care your sister receives at our service. Our aim is always to ensure people we support lead both a happy and healthy lifestyle during their time with us. It is our pleasure to provide this support and we are extremely grateful for the support we receive from you all as a family.
I have to say my stay at Ty Arfryn overall was a shambles for lack of consistency to staff letting people down on a daily bases. The house is too cramped. Most of the staff are more interested in their friendships with each other than supporting the residents and doing the manager's bidding without question to the morals. I would definitely not recommend this home to an individual who does have mental health as they do not know how to cope with this illness even though this is their job!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry to read that you feel your experience was not positive. We really appreciate all feedback and if there are specific matters you would like to share with us, we would be pleased to speak to you personally. Please feel free to...
They are also helping me build confidence and a lot of other skills.
It's a very nice house.
Staff are good.
I like the manager.
Finally got to meet Bonnie Tyler.
The home being newly opened in 2017 is aesthetically very appealing. The staff are the best thing about this home, however. There is a policy of limiting access to the house vehicle for residents to 25 miles a MONTH, after which you're expected to pay towards any fuel costs. There are very stringent budgets in my opinion, which does limit things a great deal, e.g. £25 per person a week food shop, no gardening budget, limited activities due to the mileage limits and fuel budgets etc., unless it's playing board games or cards, which given a basic package of care costs approximately £70,000 per annum I feel services should be better. There's been a lot of young and inexperienced staff resulting in a high turnover of staff. With as high a turnover of staff as there's been it makes for a lot of changing faces. That said the staff that are here have truly excelled given the limitations and they are what really makes this home. More money seen invested by the company would make this good home an excellent home.
All the staff are friendly, caring and supportive.
I've got my own flat and live quite independently.
The staff and the home are a credit to her.
My daughter recently moved there and has settled in very well. She is very happy living here. I find all the staff who I have met very helpful and friendly. The house is a credit to all who live and work in it. I know my daughter will be very happy here.
Everything is banging.
My key worker has been very helpful and organised. The house is good to be in and the staff are good too and organise lots of activities and plan anything within reason you need or want to do. They cheer you up if down and try and help you all they can to solve situations.
