While my mum was in respite, I had confidence and peace of mind that she was being given a high quality of care. Robin even helped me in a crisis and allowed me to extend mums respite for a week free of charge when I had been let down by social services.

The Hamptons have always provided brilliant care for my mum. They are incredibly supportive and, most importantly, they keep her safe and engaged. For special occasions like Christmas and Mother's Day, they host wonderful parties featuring guest singers, entertainment, and great food. Being able to
celebrate these moments collectively with other families makes a huge difference; it truly shows how much the staff genuinely care for the residents. I can't thank them enough.

Originally my mother was placed here for rehab. My father moved in with her to facilitate 'end of life'. Due to the care they both received and respect given to them, dad has elected to stay as he feels safe and looked after following mother's passing. He has stimulation and has a comfortable time with
a few grumbles on food and occasionally laundry mishaps but with access to 24/7 care and medical assistance far easier than we can achieve I feel that he is comfortable and safe.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My grandad has been in here for almost 5 years, it was a difficult decision to make and to find a suitable care home for him. Within the first few weeks we knew the Hamptons would be the one.
We have developed a great professional relationships with the staff. Kat and Robin run a tight ship.
They
have regular activities for the residents, the party's they hold regular are fantastic. Last year my grandad went on a boat trip and to Lichfield cathedral twice, he was made up.
I can honestly say from the cleaners, kitchen staff, laundry, activities, admin, management and everyone else they all do a fantastic job.
My grandad has been on the end of life pathway for about 2 years now and I honestly believe he is thriving due to the care, social interaction and atmosphere in the Hamptons!
I am a care manager at a care agency so I have a trained eye to spot concerns and I trust the team immensely with the care of my grandad.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.433)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.433) out of 10 for The Hamptons Retirement Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.833 for The Hamptons Retirement Home is calculated as follows: ( (70 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 84 Ratings = 4.833
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.6 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Hamptons Retirement Home is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 registered maximum number of service users is 6, which has been reached with 7 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
