Overall Experience

The level of care and kindness shown to my mum during her short stay at Bluebell last week was exceptional. Unfortunately she was too poorly to appreciate the services and food on offer but the comfort they gave her and extended to all her family was amazing. Im sorry she didn't get in there sooner and stay for longer. Sadly she passed away only days after arriving, as her illness was too far progressed by time she got admitted.

Overall Experience

Having chosen Bluebell View Care Home for respite care felt a little trepidition on entering but the staff were very welcoming and throughout the stay were only too willing to do all they could to help. The food was good and plentiful although the gap between meals could hae been longer but this was probably due to the need for staff to carry out their care duties to the satisfaction of patients. Tea/coffee and biscuits were available day and night. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and all in all very acceptable. Would go again if care needed, Bluebell View would be my first choice.

From my first contact with Bluebell View (prior to opening) until now, the care and attention to detail has been amazing. My main contact has been with me every step of the way with advice and reassurances. My father started with 2 weeks respite care; he was so settled and calm and well looked after that he moved to full time residence. Everyone I've been in contact with, from the laundry staff, cooks, cleaners and carers have been pleasant, cheerful, attentive and helpful. The facility is lovely, with well appointed rooms and comfortable lounges.

Walked in on our first visit to an amazing welcome. The staff have been so kind and supportive to both my father-in-law and the family. Not only does the home look (and smell) wonderful, the staff are absolutely wonderful. No one ever makes us feel a nuisance and we feel it is a good family feel. Only wish my father-in-law had come here sooner. Food and drink are outstanding.

From the outset, beginning with the name 'Homecare-One', sets out their stall to be a high-care organisation delivering their service with kindness. This was exhibited in both word and deed by all parts of the staff. All delivering their service in professional ways, looking to see if any struggled to rise from their chair, staff gathered quickly and appropriately helped - not taking over b assisting for the last finer bit to a secure place on the suitably placed frame. They demonstrated respect and kindness in waiting appropriately whilst allowing the resident to finish their sentence or their meal. Time was appropriately given. As was aid with those inevitable spills, staining the recently exchanged dry clothes for the second or third time. I saw much kindness, a critical thing for residents.

My mum was the first resident in the Bluebell View Care Home. From day one, Mum was treated with great care, a smile from all staff and management.
The nursing home itself is better than some five-star hotels.
Sometimes, because of Mum's dementia, they went above and beyond with their care.

We cannot thank them enough, especially in Mum's last days.
