We moved home recently which meant moving my mother-in-law. We were concerned that she would find the transition difficult but the staff couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. The standard of care is excellent and my mother-in-law is happier and more interested in what's going on around her than she's been for years. We would highly recommend the Bay Court Care Home.

Overall Experience
We were naturally anxious about my father-in-law moving into a care home, as this is our first experience of this. However, after one month, we have been genuinely impressed with every aspect of the care and service provided. The support during admission was efficient and reassuring, making the transition much easier for everyone involved. The facilities are wonderful, warm, and welcoming, and the staff are exceptionally caring and attentive. They take the time to really get to know both residents and visitors, which has made such a difference.

One of the biggest surprises has been how much our relative has engaged with the activities on offer. We did not expect this, but seeing him take part and enjoy these moments has been wonderful. It is lovely that they share photos of what's going on at times when we aren't there, which helps us feel connected and reassured that residents are enjoying life and being so well cared for, with laughter and joy in their lives.

Overall Experience
Mum has been in Bay Court Care Home since October 2025.
She has dementia and other cognitive issues and had been managing with carers in her own home until on medical advice I had to find a care home for her.
I was so lucky to find Bay Court.
From the minute I called and explained our circumstances they couldn't have been more helpful.
It is a brand new, purpose built care home and has everything you could ask for in this next stage in her life. Her room is beautiful and the communal areas are wonderful.
I've seen such a positive change in mum.
She has flourished since going there and become much more sociable, engaging with all the many varied activities and with the other residents.
I have the security of knowing there is 24 hour nursing care if needed and I know she is safe and well.
The management, nurses, and support staff are
wonderful and they have all helped make this an easy transition for us at a difficult time.
My mum is very happy there.

I highly recommend this care home

Overall Experience
We were incredibly fortunate to find this brand new state of the art care home for my mother in law .From the moment we met the manager , we knew this was the right place for her . The manager has been outstanding throughout the entire journey ,providing us with reassurance and ensuring that every step of the process was as smooth as possible .My MIL struggled eating and sleeping, but now she is thriving in fact I will need to buy bigger size clothes'.
My MIL suffers from dementia and has a tendency to wander on her own, the staff has been amazing taking her for daily walks and keeping her safe enjoying her independence
The staff have made us feel so welcome from the beginning and the open do policy they have means that we always feel involved in her care We couldn't be happier with our choice and would highly recommend this care home for anyone seeking the very best of care for their loved ones .

Thank you to the manager and all the staff for the unwavering support and exceptional

Moving Dad to a care home was a difficult decision to make, but seeing the facilities and location of Bay Court certainly made it less challenging. From the initial visit I made to the day he moved in, the process was made easy by the manager Natalie who was also extremely reassuring.
Dad has been resident for almost 6 weeks now and I have visited very regularly. I am always made welcome and like I'm just visiting dad at home. The staff are amazing - patient, caring, understanding the physical and mental needs of the residents in their care and the communication is excellent.

Dad has settled in really well and both my sister and I are delighted in fact we're almost tempted to move in ourselves! We honestly could not have asked for a better experience at very challenging time.

Overall Experience
When I first visited Bay Court on one of their Open days I was extremely impressed with the standard of the facilities, it was like walking in to a 5 star hotel. Exactly the way that dementia care should be delivered not institutionalised, when I took my friend to visit with a view to moving in I was very impressed with the manager and her team and how welcome we were made to feel.
They certainly went the extra mile to make sure that my friend was made to feel at home , comfortable and very safe. They took time to find out what my friend enjoyed doing , hobbies and interests so that she had a programme of activities which she would find stimulating.
They have a very experienced Dementia Champion Nurse who ensures that the team deliver the highest standard of care the most vulnerable residents.

My background is in Nursing and in all the care homes that I have visited Bay Court is the most impressive, not only the facilities but also the team who deliver the care.

Overall Experience
Bay Court Care Home in Largs has set new standards for the care sector. The building and facilities are more akin to a 5 star hotel than a care home but where Bay Court truly excels is in the quality and friendly dedication of the staff. The level of care and attention is truly outstanding. I cannot praise the staff highly enough.
My mother has settled in so well and is flourishing. Her cognition has improved immensely and she is a lot less confused than she was before. She has really benefited from the community environment, social interaction and activity stimulation.

Bay Court epitomises best practice in care. The job that is being done is next level. Congratulations!
