I bring with me over 40 years of experience in health and social care, starting my journey as a Registered General Nurse and progressing through roles including Care Home Manager, Commissioning Manager, and Regional Director. Throughout my career, I’ve remained passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

My leadership style is rooted in ethics, compassion, and team empowerment. I believe that every resident deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and I work closely with my team to create a warm, supportive environment where both residents and staff can thrive.

I’m truly excited to be part of the Herne Bay Manor community and look forward to working with our residents, families, and team to ensure we continue to provide exceptional care every day.

Anna Bassett is the Deputy Manager at Herne Bay Manor and has worked in the care sector for 16 years. Inspired by her parents, both of whom worked in social care and nursing, Anna grew up surrounded by strong values of compassion, support, and dedication, alongside her family’s experience of fostering.


Anna began her career as a community carer and has progressed through commitment and experience. Throughout her career, Anna developed a strong commitment to supporting adults to live with dignity, independence, and purpose. She is passionate about supporting and developing staff teams, embedding positive and healthy workplace cultures, and ensuring residents consistently receive the highest standard of care.


Throughout her career, Anna has worked across a wide range of care settings, including learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, elderly care, and end-of-life care. She is excited to bring her skills, experience, and dedication to Herne Bay Manor and is committed to helping make it the best it can be for both residents and staff.
