My wife has early onset dementia with Aphasia that makes it very difficult to communicate. She stayed at Glencorse Care Home for two weeks respite giving me a break from the full time care which she now requires. The home is bright, modern and well staffed with an open policy on visiting. All the staff were courteous, helpful and caring with the residents and my wife enjoyed her stay especially the musical interludes!

My wife Audrey has just taken up residence in Glencorse Care Home. She had 2 weeks respite care earlier in the year. The home itself is virtually brand new and really can't be faulted. As the numbers of residents grows so do staff numbers and to date management seem to be managing to recruit new caring efect staff in all posts. Long may this continue. Being self funded it does seem to be a great deal of fees to be paid. That was my choice of home.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding Audrey's stay with us here at Glencorse. We are delighted to hear that both her respite stay earlier in the year and her recent move into our home have been positive experiences for you both.

Finding the right home for a loved one is not easy, especially when they have lived in their own home for 90 years and value their independence. When we visited Glencorse Care Home it just felt like this was the place they would be well cared for and enjoy what the home do to keep everyone mentally & physically active. It is a purpose built care home and new. The room is lovely. The layout of the home well thought out, with social spaces (including dining) on each floor, with a wonderful cinema on the ground floor. All the staff have been so helpful and friendly, there is a real sense they want to get to know each of the residents personally and do all they can to make them feel at home.

Staff at Glencorse Care Home are all very friendly, welcoming and professional. Dad took a while to settle but is now happy and well looked after. There are a few more male residents now so hopefully this will lead my dad to developing some friendships. Although the ladies spoil my dad.

Overall Experience
My grandmother was the first resident to move into Glencorse in November 2025.
Her care has been exceptional from day1, from the carers, nurses, housekeeping, kitchen staff, management and activities. As a family we could not fault any of it.
The facilities are that of a 5 star hotel, and you really feel that when you walk through the front door.
The visitors cafe is an excellent touch and allows you to visit your loved one in a relaxed environment. Plentiful complimentary supply of tea, coffee and cakes every day.
Special mention to Nicola (activities) who really does go over and above. The effort she puts into 'special events' is amazing. First time in a long time my gran has been 'partying' into the small hours at Hogmanay.
Staff are always very friendly and always more than happy to share any important updates with you.

My gran has had a few episodes of illness during her staff and the nursing team have been great at identify this early and getting appropriate support.

Husband had very comfortable room with tv and armchair, good storage. He received all the attention he needed including nursing care and the nursing staff were very knowledgable about his condition. We as family were welcomed every visit with such friendly faces. We felt we were old friends.

There seem to be opportunities for residents to take part in activities that suit them although not everyone can take advantage of these. The cinema room is an excellent addition. When spring arrives the balconies and outdoor areas will provide lovely open views.

Five stars across the board. Amazing staff, beautiful surroundings, spotlessly clean, fantastic daily activities, lovely food. Brilliant wee visitors cafe. My grandmother has a new lease of life and is really settled, engaged, making friends and even bashing biscuits for truffles with vigour. Well done team!

Overall Experience
My grandad attended Glencorse Care Home for just over two weeks while both my mum and uncle were on holiday, and the experience could not have been better. The level of care he received was truly outstanding-nothing was ever too much effort for the staff. Every nurse took the time to give me daily updates on his health and wellbeing.
The care team were always there at the push of a buzzer, ready to support him with his mobility and any help he needed. The entertainment staff were fantastic too, encouraging him to join in with the daily social activities and making sure he felt included and engaged during his stay.
The management team were exceptional from start to finish-professional, approachable, and genuinely dedicated to providing the highest standard of care in luxury surroundings.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Glencorse for looking after my grandad so well. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Overall Experience

My Dad moved into Glencorse Care Home in November 2025, after 2 months in hospital. I had visited several homes in preparation, to find out what was on offer. Initially, another home had been my first choice, on the basis of facilities, activities and a sense of homeliness. I was then made aware of a brand new home at Glencorse. What could be better than a brand new home with excellent facilities, including its own cinema room, where the residents can watch films of their choice. I then discovered that the new manager of Glencorse had been the manager at the other home. This made the decision easier. So far, Dad has been well looked after and has improved both physically and mentally due to the care, attention and stimulation he has received.

Overall Experience
Respite care was required at short notice.
Manager/Admin could not have been more helpful, informative and professional when I contacted Glencorse care home to make my initial enquiry.
I visited on my own and was soon put at ease with any concerns I had initially had.
The care provided by the nurses and personal assistants was excellent and each member of staff went above and beyond. Each member of staff took the time to find out what was required to meet my dad's needs to keep him safe and well.
Social activities and interaction with other residents was encouraged throughout the day and at meal times providing a lovely "family"environment.
Admin was handled smoothly and nothing unexpected at the end of placement.

I can't praise Glencorse Care home enough for the quality of care provided and shall not hesitate to recommend or use their services again in the future.
