I’m a qualified Registered Nurse with over 30 years' experience in the care sector.
I began my nursing career in Liverpool in 1988 and went on to spend a decade at King Edward VII Hospital in London, where I had the privilege of caring for high-profile patients, including members of the Royal Family.
In 2003, I moved to Devon and was appointed ward manager at Torbay Hospital before transitioning to the private care sector in 2007. I’ve held senior roles within care home organisations, including Home Manager positions, and most recently held the role of Director of Operations.
I joined Vivant Care because its core values of enriching lives and passion for delivering extraordinary living, every day. I’m excited to bring these principles to life at Bayards Court, supporting residents to lead meaningful lives and inspiring my team to flourish.
Hayley Maynard, Bayards Court’s Deputy Manager, is a registered nurse with over 25 years of experience in the health and social care sector.
She began her career in 1994 as a Healthcare Assistant on the orthopaedic wards at Torbay Hospital. In 1999, she moved into a supervisory role at Sifam’s printing company, working evenings to balance family life while raising her daughter and son.
Hayley returned to Torbay Hospital in 2003 and later began her nurse training through Plymouth University, qualifying in 2012. She then worked as a registered nurse in orthopaedics before spending five years as a Community Nurse across the Torbay area, developing strong autonomous and complex care skills.
In 2017, she re-joined orthopaedics as a Sister in the High Dependency Unit and later moved to the fracture clinic in 2023 as a Clinical Nursing Lead, supporting staff and overseeing clinical processes.
In 2024, Hayley entered the private sector as a Deputy Manager in a 30-bed service supporting residents with physical disabilities and complex needs. She continued her practice in a Torquay nursing home the following year before choosing to take on a role where she could create a meaningful impact.
Hayley is excited to join the Vivant Care team and looks forward to bringing her experience, compassion, and leadership to the role, supporting residents, families, and colleagues alike.
