Our experience is that this is more like a hotel than a care home, not institutionalised in the slightest. Facilities, staff, accommodation and food are all first class and nothing is too much trouble to organise. We would certainly use it again and have no difficulty recommending it to anyone...

This is a lovely place more like a hotel than a care home. I have experienced a couple of 'normal homes which did not come close to bayards court. This is more like a top class hotel than a care home. For instance there are separate staff serving in the dining room. Not using the carers to serve the food the ratio of carers to residents even when full are excellent. Without exception all the carers are excellent and very empathetic. In fact all staff eg. Reception are extremely nice. And very helpful indeed. If for any reason one needs to be using a care home this is very restful and not at all institutional , beautifully appointed.

For Simon, the biggest difference from traditional hospitality is the opportunity to build genuine relationships.

“It’s about being a people person,” she explains. “You need to listen, understand, and build relationships and trust quickly. Every conversation matters, especially those first ones.”
That ability to connect is what shapes her day. From responding to new enquiries to guiding people through their first visit and keeping in touch afterwards, Sarah is there at the points that matter most in someone’s decision.
