The home provides specialist elderly mental health care for people whose needs can no longer be safely or effectively supported at home.
The experienced and compassionate team supports residents living with severe mental illness, cognitive impairment, early-onset dementia, organic brain conditions and behaviours that may challenge services.
At the heart of Bramble House is a person-centred approach that recognises every resident as an individual. The team takes time to understand each person’s life, interests, preferences and goals, creating personalised care plans that promote independence, preserve existing skills and support residents to enjoy the best possible quality of life.
Bramble House has 28 comfortable bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, plus spacious communal lounges and welcoming dining areas. The home provides a safe, structured and nurturing environment where residents can relax, socialise and take part in activities that reflect their interests and abilities.
Residents are encouraged to maintain hobbies, develop friendships and stay connected with the people and activities that matter to them. Meaningful engagement and social opportunities form an important part of life at Bramble House, helping to promote confidence, emotional wellbeing and a sense of belonging.
Located in the village of Hollingwood, Bramble House has excellent transport links to Chesterfield town centre and the surrounding areas, making it easy for family and friends to visit and remain closely involved in their loved one’s life.

Sophia is our dedicated Service Manager, bringing over 18 years of experience in health and social care, with extensive expertise in both elderly care and mental health services. Her career began as a carer, and through hard work, passion, and commitment, she has progressed through roles including Team Leader, Deputy Manager, Registered Manager, and now Service Manager. Sophia is the Registered Manager for Bramble House.
Throughout her career, Sophia has been recognised for her outstanding leadership and commitment to quality care. She was nominated for the Great British Care Awards four years running and was proud to win the Great British Regional Award for Workforce Development (East Midlands) in 2024. She is passionate about developing strong, skilled teams and has successfully eliminated the need for agency staff by investing in training and supporting existing colleagues, creating a consistent, compassionate service for the people we support.
Sophia holds Level 2, 3 and 5 NVQ/QCF qualifications in Health and Social Care and is currently studying towards a Level 7 qualification in Business Management. She has a proven track record of improving CQC ratings and supporting the successful opening of new care services.
