Tanya Read is an accomplished and highly respected Registered Home Manager with over 25 years of extensive experience in adult health and social care. With a strong background in dementia care, elderly care, safeguarding, and complex support needs, Tanya brings exceptional leadership, stability, and compassion to The Firs Residential Care Home.
Holding NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in Health and Social Care and nearing completion of her Level 5 Diploma in Adult Care, Tanya combines practical expertise with strategic oversight. Her specialist training in Dementia Care, Safe Handling of Medication, Autism Awareness, Infection Prevention and Control, and Health & Safety ensures the home operates to the highest regulatory and clinical standards.
Throughout her career, Tanya has progressed from frontline carer to Deputy Care Manager and now Registered Manager, demonstrating her deep understanding of care delivery at every level. She is highly experienced in medication governance, audits, care planning, staff supervision, safeguarding, compliance, and quality assurance.
Tanya is known for her calm leadership style, strong ethical values, and unwavering commitment to person-centred care. She works closely with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and her team to create a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where dignity, independence, and well-being are always prioritised.

I`m Luisa Maria. I hold a degree in Occupational Therapy from Colombia, as well as a Master’s degree in Peace Culture, Human Rights, Conflicts, and Education from Spain.
