My aunt has been well looked after for over 12 months now. Her quality of life has been improved since she moved here due to the care and attention given by all the staff. The food is excellent and offers a wide choice, all served either in a beautiful dining room or in your room on a tray with linen
napkins etc. There are many activities to participate in and many events for residents and family alike. Our family would not hesitate to recommend The Old Rectory Care Home.

Once again I can only thank and praise the care our lovely Mother is given at Rectory Care. We as a family can rest assured that our Mum is being kept warm, clean, loved and cared for to the best of the care home ability. They have friendship and a choice of activities available to them and entertainments
to enjoy.
We as a family are always treated so warmly and invited to join in many events that take place throughout the seasons. Always kept informed.
We can't thank them all enough.

My mother has been a resident at The Old Rectory Care Home since 2017. She moved from an inadequate service at her apartment due to medical issues that she was unable to deal with herself. Worry and stress was making her physically worse and we (her children) were worried about how long she may live.
All this has been reversed at The Old Rectory Care Home. She is happier than she has been for years and stress-free knowing that she is being TOTALLY cared for. Blooming expensive, but worth every penny to give our mum (at 91) happiness and comfort in her twilight years. Could not recommend more, they are 99% brilliant!

It's great, they are really kind. My room is good, I've got a toilet and washbasin of my own, it's cleaned every day.
The food is good quality, they mince my food for me because I can't chew meat very well.
Quite a lot of activities I join in with. I enjoy mealtimes because I can chat with friends.
I would definitely recommend it to others.

I cannot praise this care home highly enough. My mother-in-law moved in here a year ago and within 24 hours declared that she never wanted to live anywhere else – and she still says the same today.


The standards of cleanliness are exceptional (absolutely no ‘care home’ smell), attention to detail

is perfect and every member of staff seems to care for my mother-in-law as if she were their own mother/grandmother. She is so happy, relaxed and she feels so safe. For the first time in years, we don’t have to take responsibility for her care, we can trust The Old Rectory to do that in every way. We just enjoy visiting her and chatting with her, as well as some of the other residents.


The home is very inclusive of family members and regularly invites us to join in with social events. The particular highlights were bonfire night last autumn and a wonderful garden party in summer.


I cannot think of a single place in the country where my mother-in-law would be happier or better cared for.

The feeling of the home from the initial phone call, the assessment, the introduction of my mother to the home and the subsequent care, assistance and attention are first grade. The home provides an environment which is almost like a home from home. My mother feels in a very safe and caring environment.

My mother came to The Old Rectory Care Home almost 3 years ago with Parkinson's, needing 24hour care. She loved her own home and was sad to lose her independence. In no time at all, the smiles, the safe, respectful and gentle care she received made her feel much-loved and happy. Mum made genuine, loving
friendships; they laughed and cried together through the hardest of times. Mum became utterly dependent. The gentle care she received helped her to maintain her dignity right through to her last moments and being laid to rest. I cannot express my gratitude for the professional care and love my mum received during some of the most challenging and yet happiest days of her life. The beautiful house and grounds were scrupulously clean; the food delicious and plentiful. The manager is exceptional - listening to our fears and concerns, she actively sought to help my mother. The carers are equally exceptional, they have integrity, skills and the commitment to do their best. I know they welcome and learn from regular training. At the end of mum's life, their care for me personally made the impossible bearable. I remain forever grateful to each one.

My aunt has been a resident here for almost 4 years. She is extremely well cared for and is very happy. The ambience of the whole place is that of a Four star hotel with beautiful furnishings and white table linen and fresh flowers on the tables in the dining room. The food is excellent and we always
have lunch with my aunt whenever we visit. The staff are brilliant...over the years we have got to know them very well and we are always made to feel very welcome. They always have time for a chat and a joke and it feels more like a large family gathering than a care home! There are plenty of opportunities for weekly outings and special events are arranged at Christmas and various other times during the year. One worth a mention is the family day set up to coincide with the Cosford Air show which includes a hog roast and a host of other goodies and is used to raise funds for the outings etc.
The Old Rectory Care Home is just excellent.....I cannot recommend it highly enough!

A very welcoming, clean, well-maintained home, with caring considerate, and friendly staff who put the resident's welfare first. Food is excellent, as are the varied activities. Residents are encouraged to bring personal items from home, which help them to feel more settled. Equipment for use with the
elderly is excellent, and additional care ie. personal outings is also available. There is a wonderful ambience in all areas of the home, allowing a happy, peaceful and caring stay for all residents.

I am made very welcome as I sign in by both the receptionist and any passing nurses or carers. Mum is usually in the dining room when I arrive where all her needs - physical and dietary requirements - are met. The rooms are maintained to a very high standard where residents are able to put their personal
touches to make it seem like home. Carers arrive quickly, treating mum in a sensitive and caring fashion. The manager and her family are very hands-on, ensuring a large family environment.

Every time I visit my friend it's always the same. Spotlessly clean. Always friendly staff and the residents love it there. Great sitting in the garden on good days. Meeting other residents. Good taking my little dog too. If I ever need care in my older age I would love to be in here.

The Old Rectory Care Home has cared for my mother age 102 since she fell at home and broke her hip 3 years ago. They have shown her great kindness and the staff always find the time to chat and joke with her, as well as looking after her every need.
We cannot speak highly enough of The Old Rectory
Care Home, it really is a home from home.

My brother suffered a severe stroke in march 2016 and after spending many weeks in hospital he was moved to The Old Rectory Care Home on May 18th, 2016. The family spent considerable time visiting various nursing homes in both Staffordshire and Shropshire and after receiving a number of excellent recommendations
we chose The Old Rectory. The staff have been extremely caring and understanding to my brother's situation and it was a great relief to the family to see that he quickly settled to his new environment without fuss. Despite having no speech or use of his right arm or leg, he is having encouraging results.

The owners are very caring and certainly the right people to work with the elderly. They keep a very high standard, employ extremely professional staff and all are treated with dignity. The home has a superb atmosphere. Residents needs are always taken into consideration and fulfilled. All in all this

The manager and her staff have been a revelation to us all. My mother-in-law had spent eight months in another home which was more expensive she never felt settled or safe neither did we. The past twelve months at the rectory have been wonderful. She is happy stimulated and feels so safe and cared for.
This is her home and we cannot praise it highly enough. The care is exemplary the staff are so patient and kind, nothing is too much trouble. The food is fabulous, cleaning standards excellent. The décor furnishings and grounds are what we would expect in a boutique country hotel. Thank you all we only have praise for this wonderful home.

We feel very fortunate to have such an extremely food care home, almost on our doorstep to care for my 101 year old mother-in-law. The care home is not too large to become impersonal. It is very well run by the extremely professional proprietor and her family. Mum-in-law is very contented well fed and
constantly cared for. We cannot thank the excellent staff enough for their kindness and consideration that they show her.
