My Mother in law stayed here in a beautiful room. We couldn't have asked for anything better. The care that she received was second to none. The staff couldn't do enough for her, she was really well looked after & nothing was too much trouble. They also looked after relatives, asking if we wanted a drink, bringing sandwiches, toast & eggs, as we stayed with Mum over night for 2 nights, they were really attentive. If I had to stay in a care home, I would want to stay there. The staff & accommodation are truly amazing.

Prior to mum going into Respite, my brothers and myself looked at quite a few care homes in Barnsley, Autumn House stood out from the others ,very relaxed atmosphere, a small home compared to the others ,very friendly,very good staff ratio,always staff around ,residents sat in lounges throughout daytime communicating with each other ,activities every day ,lovely meals served, always different choices.We didn't think mum would settle ,but now shes onto her 2nd month of respite (only supposed to be for 2 weeks),now looking at long term care there as shes settled in so well .This care home has met all mum's care needs beyond my expectations, shes like a different woman, more chatty ,happy,relaxed ,has stated on numerous occasions that she feels safe.Mum was a recluse at her own home not wanting to do anything different ,just to sit in front of tv but now shes got socialisation, interacts with other residents and loves the staff.I can go home now knowing mums being very well cared for.

My Mother in Law has late stage dementia and has been in the care home for 4 weeks to date, and the care and support is second to none, everyone from top to bottom show care and compassion and has made it easy for her to settle in a new environment, the facilities are excellent, bright pleasant bedrooms, large spacious lounges and conservatories, and lovely garden spaces for nice weather,the daily stimulation with various activities are really helping with cognitive functioning. Visiting is only restricted during meal times which is great, and when we visit we are always made very welcome. Everyone is treated like family from all the residents, carers and visitors. Highly recommend Autumn House

Autumn House is a fantastic place, and I feel so lucky to have found somewhere so perfect for my nan. All staff are so caring and attentive, and genuinly interested in the well-being of the residents. The home is immaculate and always smells clean and fresh as you walk in. My nan is regularly pampered with her hair and nails done and is always involved in activities and crafts. She tells us how happy she is, which is such a big relief for the family.

My mum has been in Autumn House since it reopened. Her physical and mental health were in decline but since she went to AH there has been a massive improvement, this is down to the excellent care she now receives. Everybody at AH - directors, management, carers, catering and maintenance staff are fully focused and make sure the residents are cared for and are kept safe and well. There are many activities for the residents to be involved in and the theme days are fun for all residents, staff and relatives. I would fully recommend AH as a care home.

My mum is well looked after, the home is very clean with no nasty smells. Staff are all very nice and treat people with respect. They keep mum active and busy. Food is very good and snacks are offered and good. If asked for anything, they go above and beyond to assist. Far the best in Barnsley.

A positive ongoing experience from admittance. Although having to admit my husband will be hardest decision I have had to make, it has made a huge difference to his demeanor, ability to carry out more tasks on a daily basis and know that he is cared for like I would expect him to be cared for and like the care I would expect. He is a very accepting person, and I am forever grateful of his care and attention. It doesn't feel like a care home but a place to be treated with continued respect and dignity.
