Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Our family had gone to view Rosalie care home with a view for my father for possible respite. We could see that every attention to detail had been undertaken. The warmth of the staff put our minds at ease so we felt happy for dad to go in.
He had a warm welcome when we went to drop him off. They had
given him a beautiful room looking out onto the amazing garden as we had briefed them that dad had been a keen gardener so they had taken that into consideration to give him a room with a perfect view.
The professionalism of the staff was fantastic! They looked at my father's medication asking about the times he was taking them and actually pointing out and advising us that some of the medications would be better given at different times of the day, which having spoken to the pharmacist confirmed that. Their knowledge and experience is spot on.
We are now delighted to have found such a facility that we can confidently hand over our father to knowing he will be looked after to such a high standard.

My dad who has dementia went into the home which at first I was apprehensive , but I knew me & my sister needed a break .They were very professional before the stay getting to know the needs of my father . I popped in during his stay at various times unannounced , each time he was happily engaged
with the staff and in good spirits . This made me relaxed seeing my dad so at ease and enjoying the food which looked delicious .They encouraged him to go for a walk and took time to listen even though he might of told them the same story several times . The staff were very compassionate and caring and went above and beyond for his first .I highly recommend this establishment .

The three most important things for me to see in a care home are as follows: that it feels like a home from home, that safety and cleanliness is paramount, and going hand-in-hand with first two, that the staff treat every resident with kindness, courtesy, good manners and dignity.
This is what I have
found at Rosalie Care Home. I would absolutely recommend anyone has a look if they or a loved one are thinking of going down this route.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.250)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.250) out of 10 for Rosalie Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Rosalie Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (36 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.25 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rosalie Care Home is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 8 registered maximum number of service users is 1.6, which has been reached with 3 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
