The Byre offers a calm, homely space where adults can enjoy respite care supported by the therapeutic benefits of nature. Set beside a vibrant community farm, the home provides daily opportunities to connect with animals, enjoy the outdoors, and take part in seasonal farm activities that bring routine, wellbeing, and a sense of joy. The Byre supports adults aged 18 and over with complex autism, learning disabilities, specialist communication needs, behaviours that challenge, and emotional, psychological, or sensory support needs. The team is experienced in supporting people with more complex needs, including those who require higher levels of one-to-one support.
Designed for both comfort and independence, The Byre features a spacious living area for relaxation and social time, a dedicated dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a practical laundry room that helps people maintain daily routines. The three large bedrooms are tailored to individual needs, with two offering private en-suite bathrooms and the third featuring an accessible walk-in wet room. This layout provides a balance of privacy and shared connection.
Support is shaped around each person’s preferences and goals, with a focus on independence, emotional wellbeing, communication, confidence, and meaningful engagement. Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Active Support guide the team’s approach. People staying at The Byre can enjoy animal care, nature walks, seasonal farm tasks, shared cooking, creative projects, and sensory activities, all risk assessed to ensure safety.
The Byre offers a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can relax, recharge, and feel truly at home, surrounded by peaceful spaces and uplifting outdoor experiences.

Meet Liza, our Regional Manager for Wales.
Liza Bond is a Partnership of Care Regional Manager. She has built her entire 14-year career within the organisation, beginning as a support worker and progressing through a wide range of leadership roles. Each step in her journey has shaped her professional identity and strengthened her commitment to delivering high-quality adult social care.
Liza first joined Partnership of Care as a support worker, where she gained essential experience supporting individuals in both residential and supported living services. As she developed her skills, she moved into roles such as Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, Deputy Manager, and later Service Delivery Manager. Each position allowed her to deepen her operational knowledge and learn more about effective leadership. Moreover, these roles gave her a strong understanding of what person-centred care truly looks like in practice.
Leading with Experience, Compassion, and Purpose
In September 2024, Liza was promoted to Regional Manager, a role she is proud to hold. She now oversees multiple services across Wales and provides strategic and practical support to ensure safe, consistent, and person-centred care. Her leadership focuses on strong team development, clear communication, and compliance with regulatory standards. Because of her hands-on experience, she understands the realities of frontline work and supports teams with empathy and clarity.
Liza is passionate about creating inclusive environments where people feel valued, supported, and empowered. She places the voices and choices of the individuals supported at the centre of every decision. In addition, she is committed to professional development and works closely with teams to build confidence, capability, and resilience.
Through consistent oversight, coaching, and a focus on continuous improvement, Liza ensures that all services maintain high standards. Her leadership fosters a culture of compassion, respect, and excellence across the region. As a result, she plays a key role in ensuring that Partnership of Care continues to deliver safe, meaningful, and high-quality support every day.
