Betamindes

My husband wrote on his Christmas card to Betamindes staff ‘to my friends’. I think that is a telling statement. The staff are always welcoming and from my point of view, as carer, very accessible. They do a variety of activities each day. If my husband shows an interest in something then I find the staff often bring in something to try to further that interest.

My brother has only been using the day care centre for a short period of time. It is a lovely homely place where everyone seems to have a good time. The outside area is a bonus and enjoyed by all. The food provided is also excellent

It is run by dedicated staff to give clients the care and smitulation which is most important. It is also necessary respite for those who are caring for their loved ones full time.

My brother is always happy when he comes home after his visit.

I was very anxious about putting my mum in day care as I didn't know how she would get on. The staff were very welcoming and so patient with my mum as they could tell she was anxious. After a cup of tea and a chat, I could see mum starting to relax. She started on a half day at the day centre and had a great day where she got to take part in some fun activities. She now goes for a full day and even has her hair done and she looks beautiful. She looks like herself again.

I would recommend the Betamindes Day centre to everyone, as it's made our lives a lot easier not worrying about Mum in the day.
