Harp House Day Centre provides an outlet where adults and older people meet up with fellow adults and older people in order to avoid the boredom of having to stay at home all day almost every day. Attendees can engage in a number of activities and have a choice of deciding which one to participate in.
The activities available are:
Reading of newspapers
Chatting with fellow attendees or the carers who work there
Playing indoor games which include Dominoes, Snakes and Ladder, Scrabble, various picture puzzles and word searches, Monopoly, card games, connect.
Teaching other people how to play games
Bingo
Hoy, a card game
Discussing current affairs
Included at the day centre
Tea/coffee with toast in the morning
A three-course dinner
Afternoon tea/coffee with cake or biscuit
Wheelchair users are welcome.
Harp House welcomes all people of different faiths/no faith
Transportation can be by:
Dial a ride bus service
DABD bus service
Cab, that is black cab specialising in wheelchair access or family member dropping off/picking up.
Payment can be made by various means
