Newly established Adult Day Care Centre to support adults within the community who may benefit from structured daytime Care and therapeutic activities.
The Matron House has been carefully designed to provide a safe, supportive, and stimulation environment for adults, including individuals living with dementia and those who require additional therapeutic support. The model of Care Matron House have adopted is inspired by Norwegian, wellbeing practices that focus on holistic health, therapeutic engagement, and connection with nature.
The service provided at Matron House are based on a multidisciplinary therapeutic approach. Activities and sessions are delivered by qualified professionals who have signed up to provide services within the facility. These include physiotherapy sessions, Psychological therapy and talking therapy, sound therapy, art therapy, and nature-based activities aimed at promoting mental wellbeing and cognitive stimulation.
The premises include four large activity rooms and a spacious lounge area where service users can move freely and participated in sessions suited to their individual needs. The lounge area has been thoughtfully designed to be dementia-friendly. A specialist dementia team has contributed significantly by creating art work and decoration the space to ensure it is both calming and visually supportive for individuals living with dementia.
In addition to therapeutic activities, The day centre provide full daily catering including breakfast, a hot lunch, and a light supper to ensure that service users receive balanced meals
The Centre operates seven days a week from 9.00am to 5.00pm. The aim is to offer flexible and reliable support that also provides essential respite for carers and family members. Service users are able to attend on days that best suit their personal preferences and care arrangements.
