Nikki brings a calm, compassionate presence to our day centre, drawing on her psychology studies and her dual role as Service Manager and Therapy Assistant. She understands how easily people can become isolated and how important it is to have a safe place to reconnect with others. With a natural ability to listen deeply and make people feel genuinely heard, Nikki supports each client’s emotional needs — offering reassurance, encouragement, and space for self-expression. She helps individuals rebuild confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging through meaningful social interaction. Alongside this, Nikki ensures the centre remains an enjoyable, stimulating environment by planning a wide variety of activities tailored to different interests and abilities. Sri has dedicated many years to the caring profession, with decades of experience across the healthcare sector. In 2009, he was the first person to join the Shared Lives scheme at the London Borough of Bromley. Since then, he has supported 44 respite care placements for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex care needs.

Passionate about elderly care and dementia, Sri oversees the service to ensure high standards, regular service reviews and smooth day-to-day operations. He is committed to staff development, making sure the team receives up-to-date, specialised training to deliver safe, compassionate care. Read less

Suja is the Director of our Adult Day Care Centre and Care Home, bringing over 25 years of experience shaped by her nursing education in Norway and her extensive clinical work across UK hospitals and nursing homes since moving to the UK in 2000. After progressing into leadership and qualifying in Level 5 Leadership and Management, she first served as a Clinical Manager before becoming a CQC-registered Nursing Home Manager, a role she held for nine years. During this period, she achieved a CQC rating of Good and successfully turned around a struggling service into a stable, high-quality Nursing Home. Today, Suja works alongside her family to lead the day centre, combining her clinical expertise, operational leadership, and commitment to person-centred care to ensure every service user experiences safety, dignity, and meaningful daily life. Read less

Humayra is a caring, friendly and enthusiastic member of the Matron House team, working as an Activity Coordinator at our adult day care centre. With previous volunteering experience at the British Heart Foundation, she has developed a strong passion for supporting and connecting with others. Humayra is dedicated to ensuring that every client feels welcomed, valued and supported, taking the time to understand and meet their individual needs. Whether it's providing support with day-to-day wellbeing or creating fun, engaging and meaningful activities, Humayra brings warmth, positivity and enthusiasm to everything she does. She is passionate about helping our clients enjoy their time at Matron House and creating an environment where everyone feels included, comfortable and able to have fun. Read less

Lindsey is a warm, gentle and friendly member of the Matron House team, joining us to provide personalised Qi-Gong sessions for our clients. She thoughtfully adapts each session to suit everyone's individual physical abilities and comfort levels, including offering seated Qi-Gong where appropriate, so that all clients can participate at their own pace. Lindsey creates a calm and welcoming atmosphere, encouraging movement, relaxation and wellbeing in a way that is accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Alongside her work as a Qi-Gong therapist, Lindsey is also a qualified counsellor, bringing her caring and compassionate approach to supporting the emotional wellbeing of those around her. Although she is not based at Matron House every day, we arrange regular sessions with Lindsey to give our clients the opportunity to benefit from her gentle and holistic approach. Read less

Aminah is an empathetic, people-focused member of our team, bringing extensive voluntary experience and a genuine passion for supporting others. As our support worker, she ensures every client feels comfortable, included, and cared for.

With a psychology degree and a naturally compassionate approach, Aminah understands the emotional needs of individuals and is attentive to how different people engage socially. She is proactive in meeting each person’s needs and creates a welcoming atmosphere where clients can relax, participate, and enjoy their time. Her friendly nature and thoughtful planning help us offer a wide range of activities that encourage confidence, connection, and a sense of belonging. Read less

Giedre brings a unique and deeply calming approach to wellbeing through the gentle power of sound. As an experienced sound therapist and founder of her own sound therapy practice, she uses traditional Tibetan singing bowls to create soothing tones and vibrations that encourage relaxation, mindfulness and a sense of inner calm. Giedre regularly visits our centre to offer carefully tailored sessions, creating a peaceful and nurturing experience that can be adapted to each individual’s needs and abilities. Read less

Zahida Sharif is our esteemed dementia champion, bringing more than three decades of specialist experience from her distinguished career in nursing home care. Her presence adds a sense of calm, refinement and deep expertise to our centre. Working part-time, Zahida delivers highly personalised support shaped by her exceptional understanding of dementia and the emotional needs of those living with it. She also provides luxurious Namaste treatments — including slow, soothing hand massages — designed to promote relaxation, comfort and connection.
