We are an established residential care home with nursing set in the heart of the beautiful Rutland town of Oakham. We are looking for an exceptional RGN (although we would consider and RMN with strong clinical skills) who is looking for the next step in their career to join our management team at Oakham Grange to lead one of our 3 X 24 bedded households.
This is a new role and we are looking for a very special person. We want nurses who genuinely want to make a difference, understand the importance of empowering and enabling our residents, and who can demonstrate exceptional management and care expertise.
We are looking for someone who will provide solid and consistent support to the General Manager and also line manage, coach and supervise your allocated staff team. You will have emotional intelligence and advanced interpersonal skills, alongside a methodical, structured, solution focused approach.
You may currently be working as a Lead/Senior Nurse and looking for a new challenge and a step up to an autonomous management role. This role will give you the opportunity to own and run your own dedicated household, with the support of a close, committed management team who work collaboratively with you to develop and engage your staff team and service provision.
You will be supernumery to our staff ratios, but on your weekend in you will be expected to work as a clinical nurse - this will ensure you get to keep your clinical skills up to date and you do not miss out on delivering first hand care!
It may be helpful, but not essential if you have worked at a senior level, managed people, and contributed to decisions so that you can help us continue to achieve our objectives.
You will need to be administratively/IT efficient, with an excellent interpersonal manner that can work with people at all levels.
Our core values of competence, choice and compassion influence every action we take. You will have the opportunity to build wonderful relationships with residents, their families and our staff and in return you will gain a fulfilling career and will go home at night feeling satisfied, positive and proud of your impact on many people’s lives.
Benefits include: access to exclusive discounts, meals, free parking, pension, excellent training and development opportunities and sound supervision and individual management support.
We are committed to equal opportunities and successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for regulated activity and you must hold a current PIN number with a minimum of six months before expiry.
