Job summary
30 Hours Housekeeping team leader position.
Provide leadership and direction to the Housekeeping team to ensure that all areas of the Home are kept clean in line with the standards required, and that all residents’ laundry is washed in the appropriate manner, ironed if necessary and returned to resident rooms within the agreed timescales.
Ensure the appropriate procedures, hygiene and infection prevention rules and health and safety requirements are adhered to at all times by the team.
To be a Infection Prevention Control Link as part of the Homes infection prevention control team.
Skills / Qualifications:
- • Team Leadership
- • Providing cleaning and laundry Services in a Professional Capacity
- • Knowledge of industrial laundry processes
- • Knowledge of CQC/CIW cleanliness and hygiene requirements in the care sector
- COSHH
- • Working experience of Infection Prevention and Control
- • Moving and handling at work
- • Strong empathetic and interpersonal skills
- • Strong team leadership skills
- • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- • Able to organise work schedules and rotas and prioritise tasks
