JOINING THE Oundle Rugby Club

Oundle Rugby Club was formed in 1976, ORFC is here to promote the fine sport of Rugby Union to all, located near Peterborough

We are looking for friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic bar staff to join our team at Oundle Rugby Club. As a key part of our match day and event experience, you'll provide excellent service to members, supporters, and guests-helping to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere before, during, and after games.

ABOUT THE BAR STAFF ROLE

• Serve drinks and snacks efficiently and professionally to members and visitors
• Create a friendly, engaging atmosphere in the clubhouse and bar areas
• Prepare and pour pints, mix drinks, and serve soft beverages as required
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately using a till system
• Restock fridges, clean glassware, and keep the bar area tidy and organized
• Assist with opening and closing procedures on match days and events
• Follow responsible alcohol service guidelines and club policies
• Work alongside the team to deliver smooth service during busy periods, especially on match days and functions

ABOUT YOU

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and match days as needed
• Ability to stay calm and positive under pressure during busy times
• Punctual, trustworthy, and a strong team player
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol

DESIRABLE (Not Essential):

• Previous bar or hospitality experience
• Knowledge of rugby or experience working in a sports club environment
• Basic understanding of beer, spirits, and drinks service
• Experience with a POS till system
