Country Court was founded in 1983 with the opening of their first care home, Beech Lodge in Holbeach, Lincolnshire.

The care home’s reputation soon grew, led by kindness, compassion and dignity. A further seven homes were opened by 1990 establishing Country Court as one of the region's most trusted group of care homes. A combination of nursing skills and a professional, yet homely environment, the model for care continued to expand and today Country Court is both caring for and employing thousands of people across the UK.

Through the standard of care and the modern, comfortable homes created for residents, Country Court aspires to provide the kind of care every one of us would wish loved ones to receive. The group operates 41 nursing and care homes and plans to open a further three homes in 2022. It remains a family-run business to this day, with the company philosophy “Our family caring for yours” at the heart of every home.

I visited with a daughter of a resident who had only been admitted the previous day. I was so impressed that the daughter on her 2nd visit was recognised by two carers, and greeted by name.So impressed! Thank you. It reassured her at a hard time. Lovely receptionist too.
I have since been back a number
of times and have been impressed with the care I have witnessed, the activities coordinator and the serving of food.

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
Beautiful building with quality fittings. The reason for many 'good' in place of 'excellent' is a feeling of shortage of staff. The care from the majority of staff is excellent. My biggest problem is if my wife is distressed and I ring Ruby Lodge, I always get the receptionist, and sometimes she can't
contact a 'senior' and even when I do speak to a senior it is some time before they get to my wife.

My aunt has only been at Link House for a short time but the staff have taken the time to get to know not only her but myself as well so that when I visit I am made to feel welcome. The care she receives is wonderful, I feel she is safe and very well looked after it really helps give me peace of mind.

A beautiful home with lovely staff/managers. We came to have a tour before a short stay after a small operation and were impressed with the feeling of being in a 5 star hotel with trained staff who looked after and interacted with the residents. Everyone was very attentive to our needs. A small medical
issue was dealt with calmly. The food was excellent, with snacks and drinks available at all times. An impressive care home.

I found Hermitage house a welcoming and friendly environment, all staff acknowledged me and appeared to be happy and calm. The meals and menu were very good. The availability of drinks and snacks during the day were also welcome by my partner as he only eats smaller amounts perhaps more often. Rooms
were well furnished and very clean and modern. All in all very good 2 week respite, I felt secure he was well cared for.

My 99 year old mother lives in Somerset House in York. She moved there in March 2026 from Surrey. I had looked at several care home and was very disappointed in them. It was such a relief to find Somerset House. I knew straight away I had found a caring home with friendly and professional staff. The
building is kept beautifully and she has a lovely fresh bedroom with other excellent facilities. I can highly recommend.

When visiting Dad this weekend, the dementia floor was clean, tidy. Dad was clean and tidy too, clean and shaven. There are now 14 people on this floor, quite an increase from when Dad first went. It now feels like there are not always enough staff for the number of residents on this floor. A number
are not mobile, so when they require assistance, the residents can be left unattended. The residents require the most support.

From the start of residential care Ruby Lodge has always acted in a caring and sympathetic way. The facilities and the staff are truly excellent. I feel really comfortable in the fact that my wife receives 24/7 professional care from staff who are dedicated to providing the best of care.

Mum has been in Somerset House for the past 18 months. She has received the best care of a very high standard. The staff are always professional and treat everyone with dignity and compassion. The staff always go above and beyond for residents & family.

Always a good experience at Somerset we visit a lot and always excellent. Staff and facilities are very very good. All friendly and very caring towards us and to mum. We were very happy when mum's assessment finished and mum was able to stay. Thank all.

I truley have no words to explain how amazing Bateman House is. The staff go above and beyond not only for my mum but us as a family. Even when I call at 2am to check on her they take the time to reasure me.
The home its self is calm and relxed you truely feel at home here. There is so much to do for
residents & family.
Management are the best, she has help us in ways no one ever has, we feel so welcome.

I highly recommend Somerset House in Wheldrake. I am particularly impressed with the nursing care and support of my mam. Anytime my mam has had any medical issues, the home is right on it and always calls me to let me know what is going on. The home has been recently refurbished. The rooms are beautiful,
as is the common areas. It has made a big difference to mams quality of life and gives me peace of mind. The staff are all wonderful and mam, and I are very grateful for all the love and support.

My Mum joined castle lodge a couple of weeks ago. She seems to be doing really well, she seems happy, more sovialising and looks much better in herself. Mum has definitely enjoyed that various activities. The staff I have met are wonderful and the building itself is really nice.

The Care and Nursing Home is absolutely beautiful- like walking into a 5 star hotel.
Every single member of staff is so pleasant, friendly and kind. My father is bed bound so interacting with dedicated and kind staff is so important.
Can't speak highly enough of the service provided to the residents
and their families.
