9.6 Group Review Score (the average from all locations with a review score)
  • Care Homes Owned by Country Court
Country Court was founded in 1983 with the opening of their first care home, Beech Lodge in Holbeach, Lincolnshire.

The care home’s reputation soon grew, led by kindness, compassion and dignity. A further seven homes were opened by 1990 establishing Country Court as one of the region's most trusted group of care homes. A combination of nursing skills and a professional, yet homely environment, the model for care continued to expand and today Country Court is both caring for and employing thousands of people across the UK.

Through the standard of care and the modern, comfortable homes created for residents, Country Court aspires to provide the kind of care every one of us would wish loved ones to receive. The group operates 41 nursing and care homes and plans to open a further three homes in 2022. It remains a family-run business to this day, with the company philosophy “Our family caring for yours” at the heart of every home.

Fernleigh Court Care & Nursing Home

from L T (Daughter of Resident) published on 5 January 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Our dad spent 10 days with you, sadly he passed away quicker than we expected but during his time with you we found his care to be of the highest quality. Nothing was too much trouble and all of the staff had time not only for him but also for us.

The facilities were outstanding and our dad retained

his independence until 48 hours before he died.
On the day that he died staff were incredibly respectful and food would just arrive that we could help ourselves to as they continued to care for us.
I cannot thank everyone enough, from the care staff, to the cooks the cleaner and the laundry lady who cried when she heard that he had died. I would highly recommend the home.
Reply from Keeleigh Cox, Marketing Executive at Fernleigh Court Care & Nursing HomeThank you for taking the time to share such a touching review. We are truly sorry for your loss and honoured to have cared for your dad during his final days. Your kind words about our staff, facilities, and the support shown to your family mean a great deal and will be shared with the team. Thank you for trusting us with your dad's care. Our thoughts are with you and your family.

My dad has been living at Ruby Lodge Care Home since my mum died earlier this year.
He is settled and happy in the home. The staff are so welcoming and made him comfortable from day one. He enjoys the company of the carers and other residents and the activities which help him to socialise.
The support
he has is excellent and I can relax knowing that he is safe and happy.

My mother-in-law came for respite following a fall at home. The staff were absolutely wonderful with her, very kind and caring, and concerned about her health in general. Her room was lovely, she loved it.

I booed myself into Country Court, Carpenders Park for two weeks respite as I was having a bunion removed and needed to keep my foot elevated, which would be difficult living on my own. I cannot fault my experience, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was freshly prepared and full of
flavour. There was always activities to join in with so you didn't get bored, films to watch, quizzes etc. I would certainly recommend Country Court.

Ferrars Hall Care Home

My mother has been a resident at Ferrars Hall for nearly two years. The facilities are excellent and the rooms and communal areas are kept clean, tidy and welcoming. The staff are kind and considerate

but often busy and short of time to give the extra time needed to some residents. They try hard

with a varied activities programme available to residents and include families and carers. The food is adequate but sometimes looks a little bland and beige and extra, more exciting and colourful cuisine would make a change and perhaps be more tempting for some residents. Overall, I believe this to be the best place for my mother to be at this time in her life as she has supervision and care and the staff treat her and all the residents with dignity and respect.
Reply from Katie Peters, Senior Customer Relations Manager at Ferrars Hall Care HomeThank you for taking the time to leave Ferrars Hall a review. Thank you for your feedback regarding the food at Ferrars Hall, every effort is made to ensure that residents have access to food that is to their liking. We hold regular resident's meetings, where the Chef Manager is present and residents have the opportunity to request meals they wish to see on the menu. If you would like to discuss the food further please do not hesitate to arrange this with Donna Lee when you are next visiting the home. Thank you once again for taking the time to leave a review, we are pleased to hear that you feel your loved one is treated with dignity and respect and it is a pleasure to have them as part of our Ferrars Hall Family.

Fairfield Manor is a Five Star care home. They have been looking after my mother in law for six weeks now, Dec 2025, and she has settled in very well. The staff are always very welcoming when my wife and I visit. There are daily morning and afternoon activities for the residents to participate in every
day of the week, which she enjoys joining in. The food is top restaurant quality , prepared by a professional chef and his team. The bistro is where we meet up, and we are always provided with refreshments, whilst there are cosy lounges on each floor should you wish to have a quieter location to meet. Overall my wife and I are extremely pleased with the care that Ma is receiving, and she is also making new friendships.

My mum feels very much cared for. All the staff are kind and caring. The facilities are excellent and as a family we all enjoy the coffee shop with an excellent choice of homemade cakes. The cleanliness of the home is superb, nothing is too much trouble. The management and admin team are so approachable
and quickly sort any problems. All I can say I have been delighted with my mum's care.

My brother in law has been in the home since June 25 he is chair bound in has chronic back pain .He is a bit reclusive and does not participate in the many activities organised by the staff .He is well looked after by the delicate care staff and any queries are taken care of quickly and efficiently

His care plan is regularly reviewed and discussed with me as his L.P.A.

Mum and dad moved into Westbury Court in March 2025 and have been well looked after. Dad moved up to the nursing floor in July and was extremely well cared for particularly during his last few says. (He passed away on 11/10/2025). Mum is now on the Dementia Floor and is being well looked after and she
really enjoys her trips out which can be seen from the photos. Its a shame that there is not a better garden that the residents can use, as often being outside is good for their well being. The food is very good with variety, although the portions are not on the generous side. Overall, I am very happy mum and (dad) are being well looked after.

The staff are lovely and very kind to Lorna taking time to talk with her about photographs on display and memories. Lorna enjoys her food but qualities are significantly less than she ate at home (A food company provided ready made hearty meals with extra veg). Larger portions could be tried? In summer
and sunny days Lorna would always wander in the garden in Keynsham and sit outside. This lack of a sunny safe garden for dementia patients is missing. But the care is wonderful.
