9.6 Group Review Score (the average from all locations with a review score)
  • Care Homes Owned by Country Court
Country Court was founded in 1983 with the opening of their first care home, Beech Lodge in Holbeach, Lincolnshire.

The care home’s reputation soon grew, led by kindness, compassion and dignity. A further seven homes were opened by 1990 establishing Country Court as one of the region's most trusted group of care homes. A combination of nursing skills and a professional, yet homely environment, the model for care continued to expand and today Country Court is both caring for and employing thousands of people across the UK.

Through the standard of care and the modern, comfortable homes created for residents, Country Court aspires to provide the kind of care every one of us would wish loved ones to receive. The group operates 41 nursing and care homes and plans to open a further three homes in 2022. It remains a family-run business to this day, with the company philosophy “Our family caring for yours” at the heart of every home.

Westbury Court

from Linda C (Daughter of Resident) published on 22 May 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Mum has just ended her days at Westbury Court. She had been there for over three years and it had become her home. The staff had become her extended family and friends. During her time there she was given exemplary care and her wishes were always respected. In the first couple of years when she was
less frail she was encouraged and helped to go into the dining room and lounge and mix with other residents or join in activities. Mum always liked the music sessions and joining in with the singing. However there was never any pressure if she preferred to stay in her own room. Westbury Court was well led and the carers knew their residents and their needs. Mum was very poorly for her last few months but all the carers looked after her so well and their attention to detail was excellent. The staff at Westbury Court were also very caring to me in Mum's last days and respectful to my wishes. I would have no hesitation in recommending Westbury Court.
Thank you to you all.

From the intake evaluation through to ongoing daily care, the staff at Tallington has been outstanding. They are caring, engaging and always available for our questions and updates. The facility is warm, comfortable and immaculately clean, creating a wonderful "home" environment for its residents.

The Grange Care Home

from Louise F (Daughter of Resident) published on 19 May 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Dad went to The Grange reluctantly after losing my mum earlier this yr. He was first assessed at our house by the genuinely kind & caring home manager, who leads a wonderful team of compassionate, kind, caring, professionals; from the carers, to the cleaners, the maintenance man, kitchen staff,
activities staff, receptionists & admin. I am always greeted with a wave and a smile and I'm contacted straight away if there are concerns about my dad, or just to reassure me if I've been worried. Carers take time to sit and chat with him, and he is treated with respect and kindness. He speaks highly of both the staff and the home itself and enjoys the food which he says is plentiful.
The small friendly setting is perfect for my dad and cleanliness is of a very high standard. His room is tastefully furnished and decorated and cleaned daily. Dad is allowed his own pictures and possessions which has helped him settle. I really couldn't be happier and thank all the staff for everything they do.
Reply from Lijo Varghese, Home Manager at The Grange Care HomeDear Louise,
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. It really means a great deal to me and the whole team.
We understand how difficult this transition has been for your dad, and we feel privileged to support him during this time. I'm delighted to hear that he feels comfortable, enjoys the food, and speaks so positively about the team and the home.
Your kind words about our staff across all departments are truly appreciated. We are very proud of our team and their commitment to providing compassionate, respectful, and person-centred care. It is also wonderful to know that the small, friendly environment and the ability to personalise his room have helped him settle in.
Thank you again for your trust and support-please don't hesitate to contact us at any time.
Warm regards
Lijo Varghese- Home Manager

Moat House Care Home

from Andrew S (Son of Resident) published on 19 May 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother moved into the Moat House in October 2025 after a fall. She has Alzheimer's.
The care provided at every step of the way has been exceptional. ALL staff are genuinely caring and anticipate and deal with her every need. We recently had a 90th birthday party at the Moat House. The private lounge
had been decorated for the birthday and food prepared to an excellent standard. The management of the event was faultless.
It gives me great peace of mind knowing mum is safe and well cared for.
Reply from Debbie Barber, CRM at Moat House Care HomeThank you so much, Andrew, for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review.

I'm very happy with Batemans Care Home. My Dad is very settled when he goes for respite. The activities and outings are fantastic, even though Dad has Dementia he's still very sociable and really enjoys being involved in all the activities. The rooms are lovely - comfortable and incredibly clean. More
like a hotel than a care home. And the staff are attentive and genuinely care and really get to know their residents. I would definitely recommend.
Reply from Tina Hughes, Customer Relations Manager at Bateman House Care HomeThank you so much for your lovely feedback. We're delighted your Dad enjoys his stays, especially the activities and the welcoming environment. Your kind words about our team mean so much-thank you for your recommendation!

I found the home very friendly and the manager and the staff went out of their way to make sure my friend was comfortable and felt at home there. She thoroughly enjoyed the activities that she could join in and they held a wonderful birthday party for her including a marvellous birthday cake. When
she passed away they were very understanding regarding the removal of her personal effects and didn't move anything until I arrived to collect her personal items. I would throughly recommend this care home.

I visit an elderly friend weekly when possible. My friend is frail through age and various infirmities, plus at times confused, fearful and agitated. The whole building is extremely well-maintained and superbly clean, plus fragrant. Each and every member of staff is professional, efficient and welcoming.
It is evidently managed and led by excellent, inspirational people.

Moving into a care environment has been a huge step for my relative who has been encouraged to ask for help as needed but prompted to increase their independence as able. Everyone has been very kind, caring & supportive to my relative but also to family and friends.

Bateman House has been excellent in looking after my partners father. Initially on respite care for 6 weeks my partner has decided to make this permanent. What we both like about Bateman House are the lovely staff, beautiful rooms, indoor, outdoor spaces and the very good extra activities to keep residents
occupied and interested. The home is effectively and professionally run. Staff are approachable, kind and nothing is too much trouble for them. We feel that our relative is in safe hands here.

Found Bateman House when trying to find somewhere for my Dad to have Respite care. Right from initial visit to the home, then assessment of Dad, every member of staff have been so pleasant. Lovely atmosphere in the home and lots of activities to get the residents involved. Dad had not been out of his
own home for a long time. It was lovely seeing pictures of him out with the activities team. Dad had medical issues while there and the information sent to me was excellent. I felt fully informed what happened and what treatment was given.
Now decided Dad needs to be in full time care and more than happy for him to stay there.
Would fully recommend this home for your loved ones

What 'Good Looks Like'.
I would like to share my experiences and with my dealings with 'Bateman House' located in Uttoxeter. They have excelled in every aspect , from outstanding care and support , overall hygiene, the accommodation , delicious menu choices , entertainment and the security and safety
of all the residents is 2nd to none. All members of staff are so approachable at all times , which is so reassuring when you have a 92 year old mother residing there. The management team are so professional and ultra responsive at all times and so helpful. Having said all of that ,a special mention must go out to Erica, the 'Care Home Manager' . She has been an absolute delight to deal with, from the very beginning, and leads and manages her team by example, at all times. I would have no hesitation whatsoever, in recommending Erica and her team at 'Bateman House' .

Beech Lodge Care Home has been looking after our Mother since July 2025. She has received exemplary care from Anu and her whole team, and she has been well fed, been involved in daily activities when she felt up to it, and been given her daily medications regularly and safely. I cannot thank everybody
enough.
