The team at Links Home have been incredibly caring and supportive. It's clear that the strong leadership at the top sets the tone for everything they do. That positive example filters down through the whole team and shows in the way residents and families are treated every day.
The management team
together with care staff are very supportive . They are warm, approachable, and genuinely committed to the people in their care. Whenever I've needed specific assistance or had questions, they've been extremely helpful and quick to respond. Their support has made a "'real" difference.
The staff have always treated my aunt with kindness and respect, and most importantly, she is happy at the home. That means everything to us as a family. As I'm not always in town, it's reassuring to know that the team are responsive and keep me informed when needed.
I'm very grateful for the care my aunt receives and truly pleased with the way she is looked after

Since my sister has resided in Carter House Care Home I and my family have been really pleased in how she has settled in and how professional and caring the staff are. My sister has dementia and it can be difficult at times looking after her but the staff are very patient and kind and look after her
very well which is a great comfort to our family.

My mum spent 10 nights in this care home for respite since I had to go away for work. The service was excellent from beginning to end. My mum loved it so much that she didn't want to leave!

Facilities are clean and fit for purpose, but I have major issues with levels of communication in general, and language in particular. I live in the North of England, I lost count of the number of times I explained that I wasn't able to 'pop by', and I received sporadic updates on my Mother's care,
and often only when specifically requested. There were two incidents where my Mother was taken to Hospital for checks - both times the appointment had been cancelled by the Hospital, but the staff at the home were unaware. Not only was my 85 year old Mother distressed unnecessarily, but their policy is to ask a friend or family member to assist with patient's preparation - two hours ahead of time, and to then accompany the patient in the ambulance, so their time was also wasted - having taken a day off work. Many of the staff have very poor spoken English, so both my Mother, who was hard of hearing, and myself, had real trouble understanding what was being said about her care. There's more..

As discussed at the time, these appointments were cancelled by the hospital and not by the home; however, we recognise the impact this situation had on your mother and family. These concerns were investigated when they were raised over six months ago, and meetings were held to apologise and explain the circumstances. My mum was in Pemberley for around a year before she sadly passed , the management and staff were fantastic with a special mention for Jamie, Jo and Angela, nothing was too much trouble and they kept me updated every step of the way, i cannot recommend this home highly enough.

I viewed Pemberley Manor care home prior to my mum having a Permanent residential placement there. On the day I viewed, there was an immediate sense that I had found the right place, a comfortable warmth from entering and meeting the receptionist to meeting other staff members and being shown around
and discussing my mothers potential care there.
My mum settled in, became very comfortable, had gained weight, her mobility improved, she was always having a good laugh with the staff, all of this in under a month and then very sadly and unexpectedly she passed away at rest. I truly believe that she had reached a place of rest and that her mind and body were ready and I would like to say that this was all down to Pemberleys care and consideration which went above and beyond. Thank you so much.
