Pemberley Manor Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum has just returned home from respite care at Pemburly Manor. After lots of research and looking at several homes in the local area, it was quite obvious as soon as I went in that this was the one. It was spotlessly clean and quite luxurious. Most of mum's visitors expressed that it was more like
a 5 star hotel. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful, answering any queries or concerns that we had. Whilst mum was in there, the carers were all very professional and so kind and caring and able to meet her needs, whilst at the same time showing respect and giving thought to her dignity. In my opinion the CQC inspection on Pemburly is completely inaccurate and can only think that this was done a while ago and needs to be updated asap, to give a true reflection on how wonderful this carehome actually is.
Reply from Lauren Digby, Customer Relations Manager at Pemberley Manor Care Home

Thank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that your mum had a positive experience during her respite stay at Pemberley Manor. It's wonderful to know that our clean, welcoming, and homely environment stood out to you and your mum's visitors, we love hearing it felt like a 5 star hotel! Our team is passionate about delivering care that is both professional and deeply respectful, so your recognition of their kindness and attentiveness means a great deal. We also appreciate your comments about the CQC report. We believe it's important for inspections to reflect the current standard of care, and we're committed to ongoing excellence in everything we do. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback. It was a pleasure to care for your mum, and we wish her and your family all the very best

Having already written a 5 Star review since mum joined this home as a Dementia resident in July 2025 , I can continue to proudly praise Pemberley Manor in its fine leadership which is reflected in and embraced by the staff ; their whole approach and awareness to residents within the home is immersed
in a caring, happy and stimulating environment .
I am truly grateful for the staff's recent swift action in calling Paramedics who needed to take mum to the P.R.U.Hospital A&E at 10pm due to emergency treatment and possible surgery being required .
(In my view, this was the shocking result of a totally unaddressed, chronic dietary issue over a long period at mum's previous care home).
Thanks to the P.R.U.H. staff also, mum had the treatment she needed and is now well again.
How wonderful that Pemberley Manor care home encompasses what anyone would want for their relatives/friends in the case of Frailty and Dementia needs. You are all great .
Reply from Lauren Digby, Customer Relations Manager at Pemberley Manor Care Home

Thank you once again for your continued trust and for sharing such a heartfelt update. We are truly grateful for your kind words and ongoing support since your mum joined us in July. It's deeply rewarding to hear that the care and attentiveness of our team have made such a positive impact, especially during what must have been a very worrying time. The health and safety of our residents are always our top priorities, and we're incredibly proud of our staff for responding swiftly and appropriately to ensure your mum received the urgent care she needed. We're relieved and happy to know she is now doing well, and we'll continue to support her with the compassion and dignity she deserves every single day. Thank you again for your kind praise of our team and leadership, it truly means a lot to us all.

It has been an emotional rollercoaster considering next steps for my 101 year old Nan. After a period in hospital it was evident that a "care hotel" was necessary. Having done lots of research and visiting 11 care homes, there was only one place that was good enough for my Nan - Pemberley Manor Care
Hotel! When I initially did the unplanned visit I was warmly welcomed by all and the community culture was evident. It is hard to put into words what you feel when you go in, it is that felling that it is the right place. As stated the facilities and decoration are lovely but this is just an added bonus. The staff team are clearly the best resource and the ethos they have created is exceptional. I feel lucky that my Nan finally got a place and the transition was seamless, thanks to all involved. Within an 1 hour of arriving my Nan had her nails painted, booked a hair cut (for that afternoon) and was thinking about the food options. Thank you all.

We're so pleased that from the moment you walked through our doors, you felt that sense of community, warmth, and reassurance, it's something we strive to create not just for our residents, but for their families as well. Your kind words about our team mean the world to us. They are truly dedicated to making every resident feel safe, valued, and cared for from the very first moment. My mum had two strokes in May 2025 and also suffers with Parkinson's so we had to make the heartbreaking decision that mum could no longer live with myself as I had 3flights of stairs leading to my front door, which my mum could no longer do .
Pemberly Manor was recommended to me and I went to take
a look around, instantly I knew this was where my mum was going to live, The staff are absolutely amazing they are all fantastic, the care staff are amazing friendly and go above and beyond as well ,
I was actually abit teary knowing I'd found such a beautiful place for my mum to live the rest of her years ,It's like one big family you feel the warmth as soon as you walk in There activities they do with the Residents,Summer Barbecue, they celebrate The residents Birthdays all of them no one is left out .Pemberly manor is clean and the residents rooms are very cosy
My mum is very happy here and we are very lucky to have my mum there .

Your compassion is more than a duty - it's a gift you share so freely, whether through a gentle word, a reassuring smile, or staying that extra moment to make sure someone feels safe and valued.
You go above and beyond, time after time, in ways that may seem small to you but mean the world to those
in your care. You bring dignity, warmth, and joy into a place where it is most needed, and you do it with a genuine heart.

As a family it was heartbreaking to have to make the decision to look for residential care, for my wife, who has Alzheimers.
From the moment we stepped into Pemberley Manor, we knew this was the only home we wanted for her. The staff are so friendly, approaching my wife first, before talking to me,
showing us that she would be their priority.

The facilities, decor, and general condition of Pemberley is superb, feeling more like a hotel than a care home. It's always kept nice and clean.
The dining room is like a restaurant, serving freshly cooked, varied, nutritional meals
Activities are organised every day, and although my wife doesn't participate in many, those which she has, she very much enjoyed.

It's still early days, and obviously my wife has to learn to trust the staff, and they have to get to know her. So far however, she seems to be settling in well, with lots of smiles, showing us that she is happy.
This gives us great comfort, many thanks to all the staff at Pemberley Manor.

We're also glad that the facilities, atmosphere, and meals have met your expectations, and that your wife has already begun to settle in. Lyle House is a wonderful, extremely well managed environment. The manager and another member of staff create a great place to work and a lovely place for the residents to live.
My siblings and I rest easy knowing that our Mother is well extremely cared for. The home has a lovely family feel, and
that very much comes across in the way staff and residents interact. The surroundings are welcoming, the food is terrific and the staff, without exception, are extremely dedicated caring individuals.
Regular activities and excursions are available. Last week a member of staff took Mum to Barnes Common, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
At the end of the day later life catches up with all of us, and, when my time comes, if I am lucky enough to get a place at Lyle House, I'll be a very happy chap.
In summary, an exceptional place to live. A warm friendly family environment, backed up exceptionally friendly staff, plenty of good food and stimulating activities.
Five stars all the way. Thankyou for taking such good care of Mum.

We took mum to an open day at Pemberley Manor. We were all very impressed with how friendly and professional everyone was. This has continued for the six weeks that mum has resided here. We are always kept informed as to what is happening.
Her room is spacious. Everywhere is clean. The grounds are
lovely. The dining room is like a restaurant and mum always says how good the food is. There are plenty of activities during the day, including trips out.
During this hot weather they have made sure everyone is hydrated. Including us. It's l

Perhaps with some pre conceived ideas of a home I continue to be surprised by the stylish environment and the vocational dedication of the staff. My mother has a disposition to complain more than most but has now agreed to stay permanently following a respite/ trial. The transition from staying there
due to forced necessity to a preference and desire took 6 weeks. Try before you buy perhaps a more effective means of validating suitability than relying on brief visits or the experiences of others.

Link House is kept very clean at all times. The rooms are adequate but small. Bed linen could be better but I understand there must be a great turnover of sheets and pillowcases. I'm sure management work hard but I feel more interaction with residents would be appreciated. The carers are mainly extremely
helpful and professional, maybe more attention to contacting room bound residents would be appreciated.

Everyone at Lyle House has been so welcoming and helpful during my mother's move into Lyle House. I'm delighted that she has started eating and drinking again now that she's moved in. And I'm most impressed by the constant care given to all residents during the day.
