Your compassion is more than a duty - it's a gift you share so freely, whether through a gentle word, a reassuring smile, or staying that extra moment to make sure someone feels safe and valued.
You go above and beyond, time after time, in ways that may seem small to you but mean the world to those
in your care. You bring dignity, warmth, and joy into a place where it is most needed, and you do it with a genuine heart.
Thank you.

Pemberley Manor Care Home

from Danny P (Husband of Resident) published on 1 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

As a family it was heartbreaking to have to make the decision to look for residential care, for my wife, who has Alzheimers.
From the moment we stepped into Pemberley Manor, we knew this was the only home we wanted for her. The staff are so friendly, approaching my wife first, before talking to me,
showing us that she would be their priority.

The facilities, decor, and general condition of Pemberley is superb, feeling more like a hotel than a care home. It's always kept nice and clean.
The dining room is like a restaurant, serving freshly cooked, varied, nutritional meals
Activities are organised every day, and although my wife doesn't participate in many, those which she has, she very much enjoyed.

It's still early days, and obviously my wife has to learn to trust the staff, and they have to get to know her. So far however, she seems to be settling in well, with lots of smiles, showing us that she is happy.
This gives us great comfort, many thanks to all the staff at Pemberley Manor.

Reply from Lauren Digby, Customer Relations Manager at Pemberley Manor Care Home

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. We understand how incredibly difficult it can be to make the decision to seek residential care for a loved one, and we're truly honoured that you chose Pemberley Manor for your wife's new home. It means a great deal to us to hear that you felt welcomed and reassured from the moment you arrived, and that our team's approach helped you feel confident in your decision. Ensuring that our residents are always the focus of our care is at the heart of everything we do, and we're so pleased that this was evident to you from the start. We're also glad that the facilities, atmosphere, and meals have met your expectations, and that your wife has already begun to settle in. We know how important trust and familiarity are especially with Alzheimer's and our team is committed to getting to know her and supporting her in a way that makes her feel safe, respected, and valued. Seeing those smiles you mentioned is the best feedback we could hope for.

Staff are always welcoming and friendly, and seem to know the residents and their needs well. They gave us the time needed alone with our relative, made a room available and arranged access to the outside areas. We have no concerns with her care.

Pemberley Manor Care Home

from J G (Relative of Resident) published on 15 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Well, our family thankfully removed an elderly, female relative with Dementia from a 120 bed care home in Sidcup in the last 1 week.
She was weak, dehydrated and had not
slept at night for absolutely months on end. The other care home convinced the family she was deteriorating .
Within 4 days
at Pemberley, this dear relative gained over 2kg in weight, was kept hydrated and has slept through the night for the first time since staying there - all due to the completely dedicated, focussed and amazing team from the Management and beyond. All so professional, helpful and responsive .
With the family's total relief, this lady resident clearly became swiftly contented and said to the staff, " I'm staying here, it's good!"
The staff love their new resident .
What a fab impact Pemberley has made on a lady who the family saw as no life left in her. We now feel the other care home may have practised what is tantamount to neglect.
Pemberley's example is to be totally applauded

Reply from Lauren Digby, Customer Relations Manager at Pemberley Manor Care Home

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt and uplifting review. We are truly honoured that you chose Pemberley Manor for your loved one's care, and it means the world to us to hear how quickly she has begun to thrive in our home. Your kind words about our team - from management through to all departments, are deeply appreciated and will be shared with everyone involved in her care. It's incredibly rewarding to know that she feels safe, settled, and even joyful enough to say, "I'm staying here, it's good!" That truly sums up everything we strive for. Providing compassionate, attentive, and high-quality care is at the core of everything we do, and we're so pleased to hear that her health, comfort, and overall wellbeing have improved in such a short time. We're also grateful for your trust and support as we continue to care for her. Thank you again for your kind words and for recognising the commitment of our team, they will be deeply touched.

Lyle House Care Home

from Darren F (Resident) published on 15 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Lyle House is a wonderful, extremely well managed environment. The manager and another member of staff create a great place to work and a lovely place for the residents to live.
My siblings and I rest easy knowing that our Mother is well extremely cared for. The home has a lovely family feel, and
that very much comes across in the way staff and residents interact. The surroundings are welcoming, the food is terrific and the staff, without exception, are extremely dedicated caring individuals.
Regular activities and excursions are available. Last week a member of staff took Mum to Barnes Common, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
At the end of the day later life catches up with all of us, and, when my time comes, if I am lucky enough to get a place at Lyle House, I'll be a very happy chap.
In summary, an exceptional place to live. A warm friendly family environment, backed up exceptionally friendly staff, plenty of good food and stimulating activities.
Five stars all the way. Thankyou for taking such good care of Mum.

We took mum to an open day at Pemberley Manor. We were all very impressed with how friendly and professional everyone was. This has continued for the six weeks that mum has resided here. We are always kept informed as to what is happening.
Her room is spacious. Everywhere is clean. The grounds are
lovely. The dining room is like a restaurant and mum always says how good the food is. There are plenty of activities during the day, including trips out.
During this hot weather they have made sure everyone is hydrated. Including us. It's l
lovely having a coffee in the bistro.

Reply from Lauren Digby, Customer Relations Manager at Pemberley Manor Care Home

Thank you for your kind words about Pemberley Manor. We're so pleased to hear that you and your family felt welcomed from your very first visit, and that your mum has settled in well over the past six weeks. It's wonderful to know that she's enjoying her spacious room, the lovely grounds, and the restaurant style dining, our team works hard to create a warm, comfortable environment for all our residents. We also appreciate your comments about our activities and day trips, as well as the care shown during the recent hot weather. It's important to us that both residents and their families feel looked after, and we're glad you've enjoyed relaxing in the bistro too. Thank you again for your support, it truly means a lot to the whole team.

Perhaps with some pre conceived ideas of a home I continue to be surprised by the stylish environment and the vocational dedication of the staff. My mother has a disposition to complain more than most but has now agreed to stay permanently following a respite/ trial. The transition from staying there
due to forced necessity to a preference and desire took 6 weeks. Try before you buy perhaps a more effective means of validating suitability than relying on brief visits or the experiences of others.

Reply from Lauren Digby, Customer Relations Manager at Pemberley Manor Care Home

Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback. We're so pleased to hear that your initial impressions have evolved into a positive experience, and that your mother has chosen to stay with us permanently following her respite stay. We understand that moving into a care home is a big decision, and we're glad the "try before you buy" approach helped provide clarity and confidence. It's heartening to know that both the stylish surroundings and the genuine dedication of our team played a role in your mother's transition. Thank you again for your trust in us, we're delighted to welcome your mother as a permanent resident.

Link House is kept very clean at all times. The rooms are adequate but small. Bed linen could be better but I understand there must be a great turnover of sheets and pillowcases. I'm sure management work hard but I feel more interaction with residents would be appreciated. The carers are mainly extremely
helpful and professional, maybe more attention to contacting room bound residents would be appreciated.

Mum celebrated her 90th birthday party at Camberwell Lodge. The staff were amazing and made my mum's big day extra special. The food was glorious with such a fantastic spread and an amazing barbecue, and ice cool refreshing drink. An ending with a home made cake fit for a queen! It was quite a big event
with over 24 people present and everyone commented how fabulous the party was and how professional and tentative staff were at the event. It deserves more than a five star rating. Thank you to all the staff for such an amazing event.
