My brother in law has been in the home since June 25 he is chair bound in has chronic back pain .He is a bit reclusive and does not participate in the many activities organised by the staff .He is well looked after by the delicate care staff and any queries are taken care of quickly and efficiently
.The food is of good quality and variety served in his room by his request.
His care plan is regularly reviewed and discussed with me as his L.P.A.
Reply from Tatum Collier, Customer Relations Manager at Greenwood Court Great BaddowThank you for sharing your experience. Mums' care was inadequate at her previous "supported living" situation. I needed to find dementia care for her and visited many care homes around Cambridge and North Essex, I was shocked at how unpleasant they were. It wasn't until I viewed Moat House that I felt truly excited. After being shown around
by Debbie I realised this was the care home for mum. Not only was it highly welcoming, vibrant and super clean but you could see from the residents' faces they were extremely well looked after and happy. Mum was able to choose a bedroom of her liking which was big enough to house her most treasured furniture and belongings. I am truly grateful that mum was accepted for permanent residency and indebted to Debbie who liaised with social workers and all other necessary teams dealing with mum. She sorted admission paperwork so mums move-in was swift. Nothing was too much trouble. Mum has now improved, already been on outings, and participated in activities. I cannot rate this highly enough!
Reply from Debbie Barber, CRM at Moat House Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and heartfelt message. It truly means a great deal to us to hear how supported you felt throughout the process of finding the right home for your mum. We understand how difficult and emotional that journey can be, especially after a challenging previous experience, and we're so glad that Moat House was able to give you the reassurance and confidence you needed.

It was an absolute pleasure supporting you and helping to make your mum's transition as smooth as possible.

We are delighted to hear that she's settled in well, enjoying activities, and already benefiting from outings, she's a wonderful lady, and we're so pleased to have her as part of our Moat House family.

Thank you again for your incredibly kind words. Your feedback means the world to the whole team. xx

Moat House is more than a Care Home; all of the staff are kind and thoughtful, always there to help with a smile and have time for the residents. They have regular events and activities, which they encourage everyone to get involved with. The staff are happy to take residents around the extensive,
beautiful grounds. My Auntie is very happy living at the Moat House. We can visit at any time; there are no restrictions. The rooms are bright and comfortable with all needs catered for. Exceptionally clean. Nothing is too much trouble; all staff are very accommodating.

After a spell in hospital my mother was left weak and a little confused, so after some deliberation when she was discharged we decided she should not return to her apartment as we felt that would be unsafe. She initially moved into Moat House for a period of recovery to see if things improved. Unfortunately
they haven't, but as she has settled into Moat House so well it was an easy decision to make her stay more permanent. She has got to know the staff, and we have no concerns with her future care as they are all very dedicated, caring and friendly. We sleep well knowing she is in such good hands.
Facilities are very modern, she particularly likes the jacuzzi bath, and the catering is excellent.

The staff have always shown compassion, care and professionalism. They listen carefully to any concerns and put a strategy in place to make residents comfortable. They are all very approachable and willing to explain and consult with myself or my mother. I have not doubts about the staff's ability to
put my mums needs foremost and keep her safe and comfortable. I greet them all as friends and am happy to have them care for my mum. It would be nice if occasionally an activity could take place in Mum's room.

We understand how important it is for all residents to feel included and engaged, especially when group participation may not always be possible. We will certainly take this on board and explore ways we can bring meaningful, room-based activities to enhance her experience further.Thank you once again for your ongoing trust and support. Good care. Very good food, well presented. Excellent catering staff. The carers on duty in the lounges could have more interactions with the residents when no organised activities are taking place. Activities have been very good but with the organiser leaving, I hope the home can recruit someone as
enthusiastic and reactive.

I visit my mother twice a week and the staff are always friendly and welcoming, updating me on what mum has been up to and how she is. The staff are very patient and kind with mum who is often confused and repetitive.

The home is spotlessly clean, the meals look and smell lovely, I haven't eaten

there myself. They do their best to include all the residents in the various activities and are looking after my mother well.

My only slight criticism is that the chairs in the residents lounges could be more appropriate for the older generation.
