Care Homes Owned by Country Court in Essex

My father has lived in this care home since July 2026 and I could not recommend it more highly. The staff are attentive and friendly, the rooms are spacious and well decorated and the catering is superb.

My father takes part in many activities and outings and very much enjoys the outdoor space and gardens.

A superb place and I'm very confident in the care they give my Dad.

My mum recently celebrated her 99th birthday having been in Greenwoods for over 7 years. All the team helped to make her day so special: from dressing her nicely for us to collect her for her birthday outing to greeting her with a beautiful birthday cake and smiles when we arrived back at tea time. As her family we are so pleased to know she is so well cared for and happy. Thank you all.

Dad was first in Greenwood Court for respite but after a brief time at home, he really missed the community and care that he had experienced there so asked to become a permanent resident. The staff go out of their way to make his life as easy as possible. Dad was in hospital with a broken hip and leg and was desperate to go "home" as he calls it so Greenwood Court assessed him and took him back to the care home as soon as they were able. Dad has such an improved quality of life being at Greenwood Court. The food is very good quality and there is always something going on. He is bed bound at the moment but the staff go out of their way to get him in a wheelchair so that he can eat his meals with the other residents. The men have a mans club every Thursday which dad really enjoys too. Nothing is too much trouble for the team who are always visible and available if and when Dad needs them. Dads room is spacious and the gardens are lovely. We can't thank the staff enough.

Very caring compassionate staff across the spectrum of jobs at the carehome. Everyone is ready with a smile & some chat. Carers are polite knowledgeable and reassuring to both residents & visitors. No request is ever felt to be too much. Concerns are followed through on and answers provided. The food is very good & offers a good choice and flexible eating. Rooms are always clean. I feel very lucky that my Mum is looked after so well and I can go back to being a daughter and not carer & daughter.

Just a good around atmosphere.

As someone visiting a friend at The Grange I can't recommend the home more highly. The decor is beautiful and the home has a lovely ambience, with a terrace garden and excellent food. Our friend was very happy there from the start after leaving her own home, had a lovely room, and enjoyed the activities and socialising. She quickly made friends with other residents. Every single member of staff is so warm and friendly, genuinely interested in the residents' previous lives and their families and friends. Extra care was provided swiftly when needed which means our friend always felt safe and cared for. There is an excellent management team, well known to the residents and readily available. If my husband and I ever needed care we would certainly be very happy to come to The Grange.

Excellent caring provision. I've visited many relatives in care homes over the years and this is without doubt, the best care home I've ever seen. Caring, friendly, competent staff. Exceptionally clean. Beautiful environment. Food restaurant quality. Air conditioning. Attentive staff, lots of activities. Individual needs catered for at all levels. Like a 5 star hotel for older people with a range of needs.

Mum was apprehensive about going into a care home but has been shown nothing but kindness at Moat House. My sisters and I visit quite regularly and we are made to feel very welcome by everyone on every occasion. Mum has now got to know some of the other residents and finds the carers very kind and attentive. We are extremely impressed with Moat House and feel Mum is in safe hands

Mum was in Greenwood Court for respite following a broken hip. She was well cared for and the facilities were generally excellent. The only notable issue was the TV system in her bedroom that needed the TV control and Satellite control to operate - confusing for an elderly person, and so limiting her used of the TV. The staff were caring, helpful and friendly and she also made good used of the visiting external physiotherapist who got her walking again. The bistro area is a great social place - made it feel a real community. Security good - although when power failed and all doors locked this was worrying to mum. In summary a lovely care home and community.

I have been hear for two weeks now. From the moment I arrived you have been friendy, professonl, kind.

A home from home with all of my husbands needs taken into account and generally an excellent experience. My husbands complex needs require patience and skill and both are given generously. Both the medical and administration members of staff have a family attitude and, therefore, I never feel concerned if I need to make a suggestion or change anything.

From the onset communication with the home manager has been excellent. My father has started a respite period with a view to become a full-time resident... All staff have been very accomodating, attentive and delivering their services with a smile.. the accomadation is of a high standard and the food is excellent.

The small friendly setting is perfect for my dad and cleanliness is of a very high standard. His room is tastefully furnished and decorated and cleaned daily. Dad is allowed his own pictures and possessions which has helped him settle. I really couldn't be happier and thank all the staff for everything they do.

It gives me great peace of mind knowing mum is safe and well cared for.

I visit an elderly friend weekly when possible. My friend is frail through age and various infirmities, plus at times confused, fearful and agitated. The whole building is extremely well-maintained and superbly clean, plus fragrant. Each and every member of staff is professional, efficient and welcoming. It is evidently managed and led by excellent, inspirational people.

I was very disappointed with the appearance of my husband on the two occasions I visited him. He hadn't been shaved; he was in his night T-shirt on the first occasion, and on the second occasion, he hadn't been shaved, and his hair was greasy. When I collected him after his stay, a lot of his new clothes had been lost. The staff did find some of the items but there are still several items of clothing missing.

The home as a whole is wonderful. All staff are friendly and ready to help.
