A home from home with all of my husbands needs taken into account and generally an excellent experience. My husbands complex needs require patience and skill and both are given generously. Both the medical and administration members of staff have a family attitude and, therefore, I never feel concerned
if I need to make a suggestion or change anything.
Reply from Tatum Collier, Customer Relations Manager at Greenwood Court Great BaddowThank you for your kind words . We are delighted to hear that your husband feels so at home with us and that his needs are being met with the patience, skill, and care he deserves. All staff have been very accomodating, attentive and delivering their services with a smile.. the accomadation is of a high standard and the food
is excellent.

Dad went to The Grange reluctantly after losing my mum earlier this yr. He was first assessed at our house by the genuinely kind & caring home manager, who leads a wonderful team of compassionate, kind, caring, professionals; from the carers, to the cleaners, the maintenance man, kitchen staff,
activities staff, receptionists & admin. I am always greeted with a wave and a smile and I'm contacted straight away if there are concerns about my dad, or just to reassure me if I've been worried. Carers take time to sit and chat with him, and he is treated with respect and kindness. He speaks highly of both the staff and the home itself and enjoys the food which he says is plentiful.
The small friendly setting is perfect for my dad and cleanliness is of a very high standard. His room is tastefully furnished and decorated and cleaned daily. Dad is allowed his own pictures and possessions which has helped him settle. I really couldn't be happier and thank all the staff for everything they do.
Reply from Lijo Varghese, Home Manager at The Grange Care HomeDear Louise, Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. It really means a great deal to me and the whole team. We understand how difficult this transition has been for your dad, and we feel privileged to support him during this time. I'm delighted to hear that he feels comfortable, enjoys the food, and speaks so positively about the team and the home. Your kind words about our staff across all departments are truly appreciated. We are very proud of our team and their commitment to providing compassionate, respectful, and person-centred care. It is also wonderful to know that the small, friendly environment and the ability to personalise his room have helped him settle in. Thank you again for your trust and support-please don't hesitate to contact us at any time. Warm regards Lijo Varghese- Home Manager

My mother moved into the Moat House in October 2025 after a fall. She has Alzheimer's.
The care provided at every step of the way has been exceptional. ALL staff are genuinely caring and anticipate and deal with her every need. We recently had a 90th birthday party at the Moat House. The private lounge
had been decorated for the birthday and food prepared to an excellent standard. The management of the event was faultless.
It gives me great peace of mind knowing mum is safe and well cared for.
Reply from Debbie Barber, CRM at Moat House Care HomeThank you so much, Andrew, for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review.

I visit an elderly friend weekly when possible. My friend is frail through age and various infirmities, plus at times confused, fearful and agitated. The whole building is extremely well-maintained and superbly clean, plus fragrant. Each and every member of staff is professional, efficient and welcoming.
It is evidently managed and led by excellent, inspirational people.

I was very disappointed with the appearance of my husband on the two occasions I visited him. He hadn't been shaved; he was in his night T-shirt on the first occasion, and on the second occasion, he hadn't been shaved, and his hair was greasy. When I collected him after his stay, a lot of his new clothes
had been lost. The staff did find some of the items but there are still several items of clothing missing.
Reply from Debbie Barber, CRM at Moat House Care HomeThank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.
We understand your concerns regarding your husband's personal presentation during his stay. Our care staff are trained to provide high standards of personal care and encourage people to make their own decisions about the support and assistance they accept. However, we are sorry that he did not appear as well-presented as you would have expected during your visits. We also apologise for the upset caused regarding the missing clothing items. We are continuing to work with you to help locate the remaining items.
If you would like to discuss your concerns further, please contact our Home Manager on 01279 743 184.

When you enter reception It's like walking into a five star hotel. The reception staff are absolutely fantastic and go way above the reception role.
Mum was made so welcome and all the staff treat her like family and are always on hand for care and friendship.
The rooms are spotlessly clean as are the
rest of the building and it has a really lovely feel to it, bright and relaxing.
The gardens are beautiful with many areas to sit and relax by the lake.
There is nowhere better!
Well done

Our Mum was living here until yesterday. One of her last words were "I love it here". Every person working here have made this difficult time extremely easy for us. All showing such caring, kindness and nothing seems a problem or hassle. In her last few days her lippy was applied and hair
brushed by the wonderful carers knowing that it was important to her. Her send off was respectful and very heartfelt. We can't praise the staff enough. I hope I get this care in my old age. Thank you. And I have never seen so many kisses given out in my life. Xx

My mother in law became a resident of Greenwood Park Care Home in October 2025 after a short stay in hospital after which the hospital stated she needed full time care so was going to be discharged from hospital to a care home. Myself (who has Lasting Power of Attorney) and my wife intervened to chose
the care home. We contacted Greenwood Court and were quickly invited to view. Having then decided this was the sort of care home we were looking for the management of the home attended the hospital to carry out an assessment of my m.i.l. It was quickly agreed that my m.i.l. would become a resident of your care home. Since then my m.i.l has become accustomed to life in the home.
My m.i.l has now become used to being a care home resident and is very happy with her life there. Throughout we have been very happy with the home's staff both the management and the care departments. The atmosphere in the home is very welcoming and friendly. The level of care is excellent.
Reply from Tatum Collier, Customer Relations Manager at Greenwood Court Great BaddowWe are delighted to hear that your mother-in-law has settled well into life at Greenwood Court and that she is happy and comfortable with us. It is especially reassuring to know that the transition from hospital to full-time care was smooth and that you felt supported throughout the assessment and admission process. Mums' care was inadequate at her previous "supported living" situation. I needed to find dementia care for her and visited many care homes around Cambridge and North Essex, I was shocked at how unpleasant they were. It wasn't until I viewed Moat House that I felt truly excited. After being shown around
by Debbie I realised this was the care home for mum. Not only was it highly welcoming, vibrant and super clean but you could see from the residents' faces they were extremely well looked after and happy. Mum was able to choose a bedroom of her liking which was big enough to house her most treasured furniture and belongings. I am truly grateful that mum was accepted for permanent residency and indebted to Debbie who liaised with social workers and all other necessary teams dealing with mum. She sorted admission paperwork so mums move-in was swift. Nothing was too much trouble. Mum has now improved, already been on outings, and participated in activities. I cannot rate this highly enough!

Moat House is more than a Care Home; all of the staff are kind and thoughtful, always there to help with a smile and have time for the residents. They have regular events and activities, which they encourage everyone to get involved with. The staff are happy to take residents around the extensive,
beautiful grounds. My Auntie is very happy living at the Moat House. We can visit at any time; there are no restrictions. The rooms are bright and comfortable with all needs catered for. Exceptionally clean. Nothing is too much trouble; all staff are very accommodating.

After a spell in hospital my mother was left weak and a little confused, so after some deliberation when she was discharged we decided she should not return to her apartment as we felt that would be unsafe. She initially moved into Moat House for a period of recovery to see if things improved. Unfortunately
they haven't, but as she has settled into Moat House so well it was an easy decision to make her stay more permanent. She has got to know the staff, and we have no concerns with her future care as they are all very dedicated, caring and friendly. We sleep well knowing she is in such good hands.
Facilities are very modern, she particularly likes the jacuzzi bath, and the catering is excellent.
