I would like to say how grateful I am to all the staff at Ferrars Hall.Since my mum and dad became residents in February 2025 they have shown compassion , care and kindness above all expectations.My parents are now in a much better place , they are settled , happier and content and I have Ferrars Hall

Seniors on duty are very empathetic and will always try their best in their communication with the family and resident to ensure that needs are met.
Everyone is always friendly and welcoming.

Overall Experience

My mother has been a resident at Ferrars Hall for nearly two years. The facilities are excellent and the rooms and communal areas are kept clean, tidy and welcoming. The staff are kind and considerate

but often busy and short of time to give the extra time needed to some residents. They try hard

with a varied activities programme available to residents and include families and carers. The food is adequate but sometimes looks a little bland and beige and extra, more exciting and colourful cuisine would make a change and perhaps be more tempting for some residents. Overall, I believe this to be the best place for my mother to be at this time in her life as she has supervision and care and the staff treat her and all the residents with dignity and respect.

Overall Experience

Just been in to visit my great auntie as i live in Australia and dont get to see her much and i must say what a lovely afternoon it's been the entertainment was brilliant the staff was attentive all dancing along with them and making sure everyone had a hot drink. My aunties room was lovely and clean.

It was lovely to see Clair as the manger after all these years, she's doing a fantastic job.

Overall Experience

Mum celebrated her 90th birthday at Castor Lodge this week, the staff were wonderful. Quite a few friends and family came, and food and drink were provided, together with an amazing cake. Nothing was too much trouble, and it made it such a special day for Mum, and her family and friends.
Mum has

been at Castor since the summer, and we could not be happier with the care she is receiving. She is so happy, enjoys the activities, has made some lovely friends and is eating so well. She is really thriving.

Overall Experience

My grandad came to Castor Lodge at first as respite having had a number of falls at home. The welcome at the home was brilliant and helped transition him to become a full time resident. It was the right time as grandad could no longer live safely in his own home. Grandad has settled in well through

caring staff and a great community feel that seen him make new friends around him and a created a strong sense of belonging in a cracking environment. I would fully recommend Castor Lodge it's professional welcoming kind and has strong community spirit.

Lovely home in a beautiful quiet setting, couldn't be better and at a critical time fraught with difficulties.
They delivered an excellent service which partly made up for the poor service paid for over several decades from the NHS.
The care home provided an essential base for continued care unavailable

locally and has been essential for my recovery.

My mum was cared for, for nearly three years. In all this time, she was given the best possible care and was very happy at Ferrars Hall. The home is beautiful and just like a hotel. The food was always freshly cooked with plenty of choices. The home was always beautifully kept, cleaned daily and always

Caster lodge carehome is such an amazing venue for the elderly. I also just want to say a massive thank you to Satish. Very helpful, friendly and nothing is no trouble! He made my grandmothers move such an easy process and always has a smile on his face. Thank you so much. This venue is not a 5 star.

Unfortunately my mum is bedridden and struggles to communicate but the staff at Lyncroft take the time to get her out of bed whenever they can and include her in any suitable activities. She is very well cared for and all staff are very respectful towards her. I could not be happier with the care

Overall Experience

When my father-in-law needed full-time care, we wanted to find somewhere that felt right a place where he'd be comfortable and well looked after. From the moment we visited Castor Lodge, we were really impressed. The home itself is lovely, clean and well-kept, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
What

really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone has been so friendly and caring, making sure he's happy and looked after. A special shoutout to the manager she's been absolutely fantastic.
We've had such a positive experience with Castor Lodge. It's given us real peace of mind knowing he's in good hands.

100% recommend castor lodge.
My dad was in respite for 8 weeks, I can honestly say that the home is so welcoming and friendly.
Nothing was to much trouble from any of the staff.
They are all so caring about the residents and even the families aswell.
We as a family would not hesitate in putting

dad back into castor if needed.

Overall Experience

We visited many care homes to try to find the perfect place for our Mum including Caster Lodge. Along with its impressive appearance and beautiful rooms, more importantly we found staff interacting positively with residents. Many activities were being carried out and everyone looked so happy and content.

We spoke to several residents along with their family members and no one had a negative word to say about the care given. On this basis we decided that we had eventually found the home that Mum would hopefully be happy in. Mums mood has drastically improved since moving into her ''new home'' she has made many friends including members of staff. She will often say '"I want to stay here for ever'' I think her comments speak for themselves.
