Overall Experience

Having been visiting my mother-in-law for the past 5 years, Fairfield Manor has become like a second home as I visit daily, it really does feel like family. I've got to know the staff really well, they are very kind to my mother-in-law, as her dementia has become very bad now, but the staff are very

encouraging to her to join in with the fantastic activities which take place everyday, which if I am visiting I help her join in with.
Washing and dressing have become a problem for Mother-in-law but the staff are very patient and encouraging to her.

Overall Experience

My sister became a resident of Fernleigh Court Care & Nursing Home when diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, in the last two months of her life. The wonderful care, empathy and love shown to her by all staff was outstanding. All family and friends visiting her were amazed at the friendliness of all staff,

a wonderful, clean 5* home. Exceptional place for her to live, enjoying art, and her birthday.

All the staff at Fernleigh offered the highest level of care to my dad and the highest level of support to me and all the family. We could not have wished for a better place for my dad to spend his final days. You helped us all through a very tough time with professionalism and compassion. Thank you

Overall Experience

My husband was admitted to Fernleigh on 22nd Sept 2025 for end of life care. I could not have asked for a better nursing home for my husband to spend the last two weeks of his life. The manager completed his pre-assessment while he was in hospital, and from the first moment I met her, I knew he would

be in excellent care. On admission and for the weeks the weeks he was treated with the utmost care and respect from each and every one of the nursing and care staff. Fernligh will have my heartfelt thanks forever, my husband passed away 8/10/25.

Overall Experience

My mother is now in her fourth week of respite care at Baycroft, and will become a permanent resident, I have been very impressed by the level of care she has received to date, and with the friendly caring nature of all the staff. This has helped my mother settle in relatively quickly.
Talking to

the staff on my mother's floor, it is clear that they really do care. For them, this is more than something done to earn money and pay bills.
Whilst my mother was initially nervous to leave her room, she ventured into the shared dining room for Lunch when my wife visited on her third day, and has been joining the fireside she met there ever since. The conversation around the table may have been limited (as most there have varying degrees of dementia), but included lots of comments on how good the food is.

Overall Experience

I cannot fault the care, attention and compassion that my late husband received when he was at Fernleigh Court. He was so content during his stay. The facilities for residents are amazing and the families of residents are treated so well. We were kept up to date with any information regarding my late

husband and were always pro-active with any medical treatment that he needed.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the Fernleigh Court staff and would wholeheartedly recommend this care/nursing home.

Overall Experience

I have seen Baycroft grow from a few residents to a full home. Along side new staff have come and established staff have stayed with residents too. They all smile, are friendly and caring. My friend moved in on mobility grounds and had never used a gym before, watched a film in a theatre with popcorn,

played bingo and enjoys fun things new to him at 88!!

Immediately upon arrival, we were greeted with friendly, helpful staff. My sister is very happy she enjoys the food being offered with choices. She likes to meet and talk to people, and she has been asked to do this in the Bistro every day. We too have been offered tea and biscuits, which has made our

visit relaxing and enjoyable with my sister.

Overall Experience

My father came in on respite for 6 weeks. On week 4 he decided to permanently move here as he said lovely atmosphere more here as he sad lovely atmosphere. The staff are brilliant friendly and look after him so well. Every time I visit dad all the staff seem happy and nothing is too much trouble. This

includes staff in office, receptionists, carers and activity staff. Dad likes plain food and staff know his likes and dislikes. I can relax and know dad is safe.

My husband was transferred to Fernleigh this month to be closer to his family. From day one, I cannot rate All Management and staff highly enough!
My husband's welcoming into his new environment was outstanding!. His individual needs have been fully met. My husband is not good at mixing, he likes his

personal space, all staff respect this with understanding.
My husband loves his food. The food is excellent!!.

Every single worker member of staff showed exceptional care, compassion and dignity for my mum. Its hard to put into words how much the support meant. From the moment she arrived we felt she was not just well looked after but truly cared for. It was clear that every resident is treated with genuine

affection and respect. Whether it was the gentle attentiveness of the carers or nursing staff. The gentle encouragement from the activity team, the thoughtful meals from the kitchen team, or the clean comforting environment maintained by housekeeping, no role has gone unnoticed. You created a space where we could be with her without worrying about anything else. Thank you for giving us the peace to focus on being with her and the quiet strength and kindness you offered us.
