Baycroft have gone out of there way to help my mum to settle in her new environment. All of the staff are kind and extremely respectful. The whole building is extremely clean and the individual rooms are lovely. After a tricky start Mum has settled really well and is happy at Baycroft. The facilities
are really good not only for the residents but for visiting friends and family.

Both my parents are now in Fairfield - and we also selected this lovely home, as they have staff trained in Huntington's disease, and how to properly care for family members with this condition.
My Dad become a resident last September and has really settled in well, with his new routine, and this is
mainly due to equal efforts of both the nursing team, and wellbeing team.
The Wellbeing Team are such a dynamic group and they are on it 100% every day - 24/7 and make everybody's days feel special.
My Mum has just also moved into join my Dad, and everybody is making her transition as seamless as possible - with some time and attention to what she needs every day.
In reality if there are challenges, the team always react positively and in a timely manner, with resident / carer meetings every month.
The new Chef has started to make a difference, and Country Court just won a prestigious PSC award for care home catering - which is amazing - and credit to Ian & team!
Thanks!

We arranged a respite stay for my mum, who has dementia, and are now very happy to make it permanent. The staff are absolutely amazing. Every single person, from reception & housekeeping to the carers, nurses & management team, have been incredibly friendly, kind & helpful. They genuinely go above &
beyond to make residents feel comfortable & well cared for. My mum is looked after so well and has everything she needs. The facilities are fantastic, especially the bistro. There's always something going on which keeps residents engaged & happy. Most importantly, my mum has settled in really well, which gives us huge peace of mind, we couldn't be more grateful to the entire team.

From the moment I came to visit Fairfield Manor on behalf of my dad, I knew it would be a wonderful place for him to live and he deserved to be in the environment that all the staff create.
Every time I come to visit everyone always greets me with smiles and care. They quickly got to know my dad and
got him involved in lots of the daily activities. Sadly, his health has deteriorated and he is now bed bound, needing more care. Everyone does their bit to make his time as good as it can be, whilst also making sure family members are looked after too.
We never know what is in store for us as we get older, but knowing that Fairfield Manor exists and being so thankful for the wonderful staff that work there, means I can spend time with my dad and know he's in the best place!

I cannot speak highly enough of this fantastic care home. From the moment you walk in, the environment feels clean, modern, and deeply homely. The staff are brilliant, attentive, and consistently go the extra mile for the residents. My friend has settled in well and is looked after with the utmost respect
and compassion. Top marks to the entire team for their stellar work, thank you Fairfield Manor. Edward.

Baycroft Flitwick Care Home

We chose Baycroft for my father initally as it was a modern bright home with good facilities. Dad needed full time care as his mobility dad declined and he'd also developed mild dementia.
Since being in Baycroft dad had several falls a week which was alarming and I did feel that this was due to
lack of staff, it'd often go the alarms were going and no staff seemed to be present. After a few months we were told by a social worker that the home could no longer meet my dads needs. This seemed to have come after I'd raised my concerns about the number of falls he was having and the lack of staff at times. Not once did the home approach the family to say that they were struggling to meet my dads needs Dad was a bit challenging at times as he was suffering with delirium and what they said was dementia. Dad displayed these signs when he was assessed by the home in hospital. This home should be a residential home only if i cannot care for people with dementia
Reply from Corina Ashby, Home Manager at Baycroft Flitwick Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you feel this way. Your loved one left our home in July 2025 following a hospital stay, where it was advised that their needs had increased and that a nursing home would be more suitable, which is why we were unable to welcome them back.

During their time with us, we worked hard to provide a high level of care, including close monitoring and additional one-to-one support when needed. We were grateful for the positive feedback shared by your family at the time and were not made aware of the concerns mentioned in your review. We would also like to reassure you that our staffing levels have always been in line with residents' needs.

If you wish to discuss this further with our Home Manager, please do call the home directly on 01525 307 665.

Mum initially arrived here for respite after a stay in hospital. She had been reluctant to agree to respite but after only a short stay here has applied to be a permanent resident. The staff have been amazing from the very start and we are over the moon with the care she has recieved. Mum feels totally
at home now and as a family we could not have asked for more. Such a great team.

What can I say about Baycroft? First thing is 'when can I move in?' It's a shame we have to wait until later in life to really experience Baycroft, when perhaps its not appreciated as much as it should be. When I visit (and also dine in), I can see how attentive the staff are and how residents are cared
for. I also know it's not put on as I visit most days, at different times and different areas of the building. Should the time come for me to need a care home (hopefully not for another forty years or so), I hope I'm as lucky to find (or be placed in) a place as good as that.

My husband has resided in Baycroft for just over a year. I find the staff caring and approachable and are able to handle any "situations" with ease. The library is well stocked and there are numerous activities on the go as well as outings for the residents which appear to be well appreciated. The food
is quite varied and appears to suit most palates. Drinks (non alcoholic) are readily available. The Care Home is clean and warm as are the bedrooms. A delightful garden in which to sit in sunny weather, birds to feed and plants to grow in the greenhouse. All in all 100%

My mother-in-law was a resident at Fairfield Manor for almost five years. She had outstanding care. As her condition deteriorated, the staff adapted to her needs and showed concern and compassion along with respect for her as an individual. The present manager and deputy manager go beyond the call of
duty to ensure that night care as well as day care is up to standard. Any problems or concerns have been dealt with immediately and with professionalism and courtesy. We have also felt included in the life of the home.

I cannot praise Fernleigh Court high enough! From the first day we brought my mother into Fernleigh, we were made to feel at home. My mother's care is second to none. She came to Fernleigh under respite care for one month and was eager to be going home, but after two weeks, she wants to stay permanently.
The staff, care workers, managment are excellent. Big shout out to Letsy and Portia who go above and beyond.

Night staff took long time to respond and he wet the bed several times which was very upsetting. Night staff were often unfriendly and impatient. Support we expected for night wasn't there. Lack of bars in shower area, perching stool in bathroom would be useful, chair provided was not suitable, Lack
of support for Parkinson's issues, mobility has deteriorated badly since his stay, Brien was deregistered from our GP by Baycroft which caused problem when back home plus pharmacy for repeat meds was changed and not returned to normal pharmacy. On the plus side, daytime staff were helpful and friendly. The building was always warm and clean. Reception staff during the weekdays were very approachable and helpful.
Reply from Holly Wilson, Home Manager at Baycroft Flitwick Care HomeThank you for your feedback. Brian was a pleasure to have with us, and we wish you both all the best.

Please be assured that all concerns raised are taken seriously and will be reviewed by management. Our team follows guidance from the Parkinson's nurse, and respite residents are registered with our GP and pharmacy to ensure timely medical support and medication.

We are committed to providing the best possible care and value all feedback as an opportunity to improve. Should you wish to speak with our Home Manager Holly Wilson further please contact her on 01525 307 665

After years of caring for a family member, we have finally found a home that we are completely satisfied with. One of the hardest decisions we have made, but the correct one. The home is so friendly for residents & their families. We have been welcomed fully & become a family again, not full time carers.
When we visit on a regular basis, we see the wonderful care given to all residents & join in the fantastic activities planned.
