The staff are excellent, they treat both my mum and dad with humour, care and dignity. They are helpful when I have a request + make careful suggestions.
The activities team is a lot of youth and get residents involved, while participating themselves.
The management team ensure my parents are safe
and cared for, and they allow dad his walks to the lake daily.

We have just celebrated our mum's birthday in Lakeview and can't thank the staff enough for making her day special.
We decided to use the family room and ordered lunch for all the family. It was so lovely to sit around the table as a family. A delicious roast dinner and dessert was followed by a huge
cake. We could wander around the garden, take some photos and enjoy just relaxing together. Thank you so much Lakeview.

As my family wanted me to be nearer them (as I am a 2 hour journey away) I was on a trial period at this care home. At this present moment in time I did not feel that I needed a care home as not dementia - which many of the residents are here.
Therefore, although a very comfortable and very caring
situation, I did not think I was ready for this care yet, but will most certainly keep this lovely situation in mind should the need arise.

My wife, who is 84 moved into your care in Nov. The care by staff has been amazing, I am so grateful that she is in your hands because it would not be possible at home. We are both adjusting to a new way of life, which is not easy when you have grey hair and few teeth.
Perhaps the coffee machine could
be upgraded as it regularly breaking down.

This is quite honestly, the nicest care home I've ever visited! It is spotlessly clean and smells fresh, the staff are friendly, efficient and genuinely care for the residents. It was lovely to see my eldest friend looking so well fed and contented and living in such bright, modern surroundings.

My father in law loves it here. The staff are very professional and are always engaging with the residents. It's very clean and bright and it's a nice place to visit.

The staff at Lakeview Lodge Care Home in Newton Leys have been so so supportive to me, my mother and my father during one of the hardest times we have faced as a family. The care and support provided to my mum has been outstanding. It provides such a comfort to know that Mum is cared for and is safe
when we are not able to be with her. We are kept updated with important information and the advice and guidance we have been given has been exceptional.

There is a real sense of care and caring here at Lakeview Lodge, the residents are well looked after. the food is consistently good and the staff are great communication and are always there when needed. While it is not cheap, you can see that it is money well spent. The furnishings, the garden etc
are all really well maintained. I would recommend.

My experience is generally excellent. Any issues are dealt with quickly. There are always activities to keep the residents stimulated and engaged. My only negative is the lack of air conditioning, Lakeview is stifling this time of year.

In recent months, my mother, who has dementia, has become increasingly difficult and uncooperative. Staff have shown patience and understanding and continue to provide an excellent standard of care. Staff are aware of her needs and will do what they can to involve her and assist her in making choices/decisions.

Lakeview Lodge is a good care home overall, in my opinion. The cost of care is very fair, considering what needs to be done for my Mother. Lakeview Lodge is always very welcoming whenever I arrive at reception, the receptionist is always friendly and it's nice to be remembered. My mum has advanced dementia, it has been very hard seeing the Mum I knew disappearing and dementia taking over, this has been emotionally overwhelming at times
when I visit, I've had a lot of comfort from staff members noticing my distress, and offering me support, which I have been very grateful for.
The only thing I would like to see or know whats happening is that activities were happening on my mum's floor, the 2nd floor, because photos on social media always show the downstairs lounge.

I can't believe how happy my dad has been since moving to Lakeview Lodge. Their standard of care and patience with Dad is way above and beyond what was expected. Dad is way more relaxed, and his bedsores have repaired, which we thought would never happen. Their attention to his needs are spot-on.

My mother has been a resident for over two years. We have been delighted with the care she has received. Overall environment is excellent, staff and management at all levels have been excellent too, from reception, housekeeping and catering, care teams and management.
