Mum has been a resident at Neale Court for just 3 years now. The staff are very attentive to all residents and have a good rapport with all visitors.
The manager always listens to any concerns raised and responds to them immediately in a very professional way.
The whole staff team works hard to create
a happy, homely place for the residents to live.

My Mother was a resident for 2 years and was always treated with respect and kindness. Her room was always clean and smelt fresh. She especially enjoyed the food and we were impressed that the chef knew all her favourite dishes. Having extra living space and an in-house cafe was a marvellous as it meant
visitors didn't have to sit in her bedroom. The outside garden and courtyard are excellent spaces that we all enjoyed. I would certainly recommend.

Activities staff have taken a nose dive since Mum first moved here Oct 23. Used to be a fun place to be, with music playing in the back ground, now its a sad place. Staff are very caring and work very hard but activities staff need sorting - more activities staff needed. Also not everyone likes crafts!
my Mum needs more stimulation, so much so that I now pay for a private carer 2hrs a week to take her out. (not good considering the amount of fees paid). I am hoping her private caring does not go against her receiving her share of activity.
Mum used to like going to The Ark - there used to be enough staff to take 3 or more people there, just to get away from the home, now seemingly only 1 person can be taken, only 1 member of staff available to do it. The activity sheet states The Ark trip on Friday which portrays there is a trip of a few people - I find out today that its only for 1 person!!? Is the sheet just a paper exercise? disappointing for Mum. More staff needed please.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review for Neale Court Care Home. We are sorry to hear that you feel there's been a decline in the activities since your mum moved in. We completely understand how important it is for our residents to feel stimulated, engaged, and part of a lively, happy home, and we're taking your feedback on board. We're currently reviewing our activities provision and have recently advertised for additional activity staff to help us bring more variety and energy back to the home. We understand how important this is, and we are committed to making improvements. We are also looking at how we communicate trips like The Ark to ensure plans reflect what's realistically possible and avoid confusion. Please be assured that any private support arranged for your mum will not affect her access to group activities-we want all residents to enjoy a full and stimulating lifestyle. If you'd like to chat in more detail, we'd be very happy to meet with you.

We as a family are pleased with the care my mother is being given at Neale Court.
We feel that the service and care is 1st class.
My only negative is that a few of the residents need more care than others. I myself have felt a little vulnerable at the few residents wandering around the lounge, a little
pack like., or wandering round with cutlery in hand, or having their belongings moved etc. Perhaps a suggestion would be that if some residents that need the extra care they could use the 1st floor lounge and bedroom facilities.

Since mum has moved into Neale Court, its like she has had a new lease of life. She loves engaging in the activities but also sitting in the lovely garden and reading.
She is cared for, her room is clean and tidy with her own pictures on the walls.
She is treated with compassion and respect.
The
food she assures us is fabulous and they take into account her dietary needs.
We know, unfortunately that not all homes are like this, and are very grateful to the staff.

My husband was admitted as an emergency for 'end of life care'. We had been planning for admission, I had visited the home and planned to have him admitted but things happened quickly. The staff from the manager, care staff, cleaning to catering were excellent. The care and attention my husband received

Can't begin to express how grateful I am that he was cared for in St John's. The staff have been amazing and so very caring. It was unfortunate that he had to go into hospital and the nursing care there was so poor that he was sent back to St John's with a grade 2 pressure sore and a canula still attached
to his arm and St John's was not informed of this, but your staff cared for him in such dignity until he passed away and I will always be eternally grateful for that.
