From our first visit we were impressed with both the friendliness of the staff - and the layout and design of the building, with its many facilities. There is a wonderful sense of spaciousness and easy accessibility to all areas of the building. Much thought has gone into the interior design, which
is bright and cheerful. Dad settled into the routine of the care home, and developed close bonds of friendship with many of the staff members. Dad could not have been in a better place to finish his days in comfort and peace - knowing that he had close friends always watching over him.

I am very happy with the care and attention my partner is receiving since having had a severe stroke. All the staff throughout are so understanding, nothing is too much trouble and they are also so welcoming when family and friends visit. The overall standard of Carpenders Park Care Home is outstanding,
spotlessly clean and kept beautifully. Everyone is so attentive and always at hand if there is a problem. A lot of effort goes into arranging various activities which the Residents enjoy. The Office Staff, Receptionist, In House Team and Laundry/Cleaning Dept are all exceptional.
Reply from Claire Masterson, Home Manager at Carpenders Park Care HomeThank you for your kind review of Carpenders Park Care Home. My husband arrived at the Oakview Lodge care home after several months of being in and out of hospital. From the time of arrival he has gradually improved cognitively, able to have a little conversation, enjoying his newspaper and watching some TV. All due to the constant care of the staff, nurses and
carers at the home. His appetite from being non-existent to very poor while in hospital has now improved as well.
Reply from Julia Rodell, Customer Relations Manager at Oakview Lodge Care & Nursing HomeThank you for your kind review. We are so pleased you feel happy with our care staff and the care your husband is receiving, and that he is feeling so much better.

I booked myself into care straight from discharge from hospital after knee replacement surgery. I am a widow and live alone and felt that I would be unable to look after myself. It was the best thing I could of done as I received excellent care which stood me in good stand for when I returned home.
I was there for 2 weeks of respite. My physiotherapist says I am making excellent progress. Thank you to the home manager and to all her lovely staff.
Reply from Julie Wicks, Deputy Manager at Carpenders Park Care HomeThank you for your lovely words, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. We look forward to seeing you again for our homes events.

My mum has been in Carpenders Park Care home just over a year and she loves it there.
Mum calls it her home and she is so well cared for that she says she doesn't want to leave.
On Christmas Eve mum celebrated her 102nd birthday.
The team went above and beyond to make the day special with birthday
wishes, enormous number 102 balloons, a tiara, birthday glasses and a special rosette with 102 on it.,
They had arranged for her hair and nails to be done, ( even at that age my mum loves sparkles and to look and smell nice every day with her lippy, perfume and jewellery on)
As a family we had lunch with her in the private dining room and the chefs had made her a huge birthday cake which in the afternoon was shared among other residents and families with a bit of a party in the cafe area.
Where mum was given a beautiful bouquet of flowers, a special pop up card and a pressie and everyone sang happy birthday.
Last words for this review from mum "I've had an amazing day and everyone is so kind

Amazing! Definitely the best decision for my Dad to stay at Carpenders Park Care Home. Both management team and staff are fantastic! Kind, caring, friendly and knowledgeable. I cannot speak highly enough of CP. So very helpful and supportive and many of the staff (including managers) went over and above
their duties to care for my Dad. I am so happy with CP. I am thinking of volunteering!

I booed myself into Country Court, Carpenders Park for two weeks respite as I was having a bunion removed and needed to keep my foot elevated, which would be difficult living on my own. I cannot fault my experience, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was freshly prepared and full of
flavour. There was always activities to join in with so you didn't get bored, films to watch, quizzes etc. I would certainly recommend Country Court.

My husband was welcomed to Oak View Lodge at the beginning of September. From my first visit I felt welcome and greeted ny everyone with a smile and a welcome greeting. During his month long stay my husband was treated as a special guest. The meal time menus were varied and freshly prepared and the portions
were generous and there were drinks and a variety of snacks available all day. Midmorning and afternoon snacks were offered to residents. My husbands room was light, modern and comfortable. There was a sensitive mat beside his bed to alert staff if he got out of bed at night. My husband was well cared for and spoken to by name and the kind staff always knew where he was. Should he need long term residential care I would contact Oak View Lodge immediately.

My wife has been nursed in Oakview for nearly three years. She has received excellent care throughout. The home is comfortably and appropriately appointed. The staff are warmly friendly yet the care is not intrusive. There are daily stimulating activiites suited to the differing circumstances of the
residents. In other words Oakview is a well balanced and well managed home.

This Care home is extremely good, with excellent staff and routine. It is clean and tidy. My mum has a very good bright room with great window and furnishings. It is warm or cool as appropriate. The Care staff are very attentive to her needs. Food is well prepared . Very impressed. Due to her age
and health, some activities are beyond Mum. However there is a community feel.

I cannot praise Oakview Lodge staff highly enough. They were wonderful right from the start of my looking for a place for my very ill husband - right through to the end, when he died. We were impressed from the beginning with the care and friendliness the staff exuded - my daughter and I even asked
if we could put our names down for when we need a Care Home. Sadly, they said no. I was kept informed at all times of anything of note, everything was carefully explained and expertly and kindly done. The professionalism of both the Management, the Nursing Staff and the Carer Team was exemplary, and so kindly handled when the end came. The Home itself is very well appointed, kept sparklingly clean and beautifully decorated with lots of
facilities for the residents. I'm so glad my husband spent his last months there. Thank you.
