Oakview Lodge Care & Nursing Home

When I first came to Oakview Lodge I was amazed at the standard, cleanliness, and how hard the carers work. Everyone is so Friendly and I can highly recommend Oakview Lodge.

We first went to Oakfield Lodge with the idea that our dad would at first come for respite with a view to becoming a resident. We were met by Julia, customer relations manager. Julia was very friendly and she took great pride in escorting us around the home. Everywhere was bright and clean. All staff were very friendly. Dad stayed for respite and came home to see if he was going to be able to cope alone. After just two weeks, he announced that "he" had decided to live at Oakview Lodge. He liked the friendly staff and said that they genuinely cared for the residents. He liked the fact that it was kept very clean and most of all he liked the meals and the fact that everything was fresh. It was a fresh start for dad, and he is very happy.

I would love to be in a care home like this when need more assistance! Very impressed by helpful staff + facilities in general

I have enjoyed all aspects of Oakview Lodge. all staff outstanding & approachable. Maybe need a few more staff at times, they all work so hard. This is my 3rd visit to a Care Home so definitely the best. I cannot recommend it more. I was so doubtful about giving up my home but had trouble coping & was house-bound. I made the best decision & feel safe.

From the cleanliness, the facilities and services offered through to the general atmosphere, the friendly and helpful staff clearly go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcomed and looked after. Definitely deserving of a five star plus review.

From our first visit we were impressed with both the friendliness of the staff - and the layout and design of the building, with its many facilities. There is a wonderful sense of spaciousness and easy accessibility to all areas of the building. Much thought has gone into the interior design, which is bright and cheerful. Dad settled into the routine of the care home, and developed close bonds of friendship with many of the staff members. Dad could not have been in a better place to finish his days in comfort and peace - knowing that he had close friends always watching over him.

My husband arrived at the Oakview Lodge care home after several months of being in and out of hospital. From the time of arrival he has gradually improved cognitively, able to have a little conversation, enjoying his newspaper and watching some TV. All due to the constant care of the staff, nurses and carers at the home. His appetite from being non-existent to very poor while in hospital has now improved as well.

My husband has not been there very long but the home is excellent.

My dad recently arrived at Oakview Lodge and has been made very welcome. The staff have been so friendly. According to my dad the food is excellent. All areas are kept very clean. The rooms are warm and comfortable. Hatties tea/coffee area is great for visitors to sit. Overall the family have been very impressed.

My husband was welcomed to Oak View Lodge at the beginning of September. From my first visit I felt welcome and greeted ny everyone with a smile and a welcome greeting. During his month long stay my husband was treated as a special guest.The meal time menus were varied and freshly prepared and the portions were generous and there were drinks and a variety of snacks available all day. Midmorning and afternoon snacks were offered to residents. My husbands room was light, modern and comfortable. There was a sensitive mat beside his bed to alert staff if he got out of bed at night. My husband was well cared for and spoken to by name and the kind staff always knew where he was. Should he need long term residential care I would contact Oak View Lodge immediately.

This Care home is extremely good, with excellent staff and routine. It is clean and tidy. My mum has a very good bright room with great window and furnishings. It is warm or cool as appropriate. The Care staff are very attentive to her needs. Food is well prepared . Very impressed. Due to her age and health, some activities are beyond Mum. However there is a community feel.

My wife has been nursed in Oakview for nearly three years. She has received excellent care throughout. The home is comfortably and appropriately appointed. The staff are warmly friendly yet the care is not intrusive. There are daily stimulating activiites suited to the differing circumstances of the residents.In other words Oakview is a well balanced and well managed home.

My mother has recently had a few problems and, as usual, the Home reacted very professionally and sorted her problems. They always listen to our needs and the staff take a proactive stance in dealing with anything.

Always caring , with a friendly team who treat my Dad - a frequent visitor to see my Mum, with such great kindness and support. The team handled my Mums recent move to the nursing floor with professionalism and empathy.

Oakview are amazing at caring for our elderly relative. They are kind and caring towards him. They anticipate his needs and support his health and wellbeing very effectively. We could not ask for anything else for him. Thank you to the home's leadership team and all the staff who care for him so well.

My family and I particularly like the fact that all members of staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. The atmosphere is always cheerful and the home is immaculate.
