I have been very pleased with the care my father has had in the home. The staff are excellent and really care about the residents. The home is beautifully decorated and well maintained and the staff are also very friendly, caring, professional and helpful. I am confident my father is having the very best care and attention. I can highly recommend this lovely care home.

Wonderful place for my mother. Lovely decor, care and the staff are excellent. Clothes washing a bit lax on frequency (some clothes have disappeared even though they are marked with her room number) The lighting is her room is very low, almost dingy.

My mother-in-law came for 3 weeks respite. The care and attention she received were to the highest standard. All carers showed kindness, dignity and respect.
The manager and staff were all outstanding and kept us well informed and were approachable.

I would highly recommend this care home and I thank you all for making her stay an excellent experience.

Management and staff are so helpful and kind. Sometimes, short staff supply, they do their utmost to cover all nursing and caring which is not always easy for them. My family and I are so pleased that my husband is being cared for in this lovely nursing home. Thank you to all.

There are several points to be made.
Unfortunately, the receptionist had not been briefed about our arrival on Saturday 28th October. Eventually, we were conducted to my husband's room but it took some time before he was properly greeted.
Secondly, my husband found nocturnal treatment somewhat unsatisfactory and insensitive on occasions.
It was a surprise to both of us that some senior staff had not been properly trained in the fitting of conveens.

Finally, on a positive note, my husband was pleased that his weekly French class could be accommodated in "The Pub". My husband joins his fellow members and the teacher in thanking the staff for organising this.

My father-in-law spent his last 20 months in Oakview Lodge and I just cannot recommend this care home highly enough. The staff go above and beyond the call of duty on a daily basis and were caring in the extreme. It is well managed and staffed with caring people, who treat the residents with compassion and dignity. The home is always very clean and has a welcoming environment. The carers always have a smile and time for the individuals. Regular activities for the residents are organised daily everyone is supported and encouraged to join in. My father-in-law enjoyed the quizzes, gardening, bingo, baking cakes and eating them. I would have no hesitation in entrusting any of my relatives to their tender care.

Mum first came to Oakview Lodge for respite in January and is now a permanent resident. I am delighted with the care and support she has received and have every confidence in the staff, who are kind, professional and friendly and treat all the residents with dignity. All mum's visitors are made welcome when they pop in; we bring my dad to visit several times a week. Nothing is too much trouble; I'm kept updated about mum and we can see the improvement in her in this beautiful, clean home with modern, attractive furnishings and decoration. (Wait 'til you see the gorgeous chairs and sofas in the corridors!) Tasty meals with a glass of wine if she chooses, a café area where she can sit and read the newspaper, and new friends to chat and laugh with. The pampering means her hair is regularly and expertly styled, nails polished and she has even put on some weight!

Top class care home! Quality of furnishings and care are top class. So happy with caring staff. Nothing was too much trouble, it was a home-from-home. Food delicious. Staff very gentle and caring. Staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful. Laundry arrangements seemed haphazard and procedures could be improved eg., laundry bags and printed lists. Meals were quite good, except poor quality sausages.

I broke my arm nursing my wife, after two weeks in hospital my family arranged for me to go to Country Court Care. If it had not been for them I would not have gone back 'home' to care for my wife. My stay was first class and care was wonderful, especially with a broken arm. Many thanks to everyone involved. God Bless you all for the fine job you are doing.

After a few weeks in hospital Mum had lost her confidence to walk, with a fear of falling. The staff were very encouraging and within a few weeks had her walking again with the use of her frame. The overall standard of the home is excellent, very clean, safe and with committed, friendly staff. Mum no longer needs medical care and has moved onto residential home a little nearer to me. Location was the only reason for this. I know after a few days felt happy and safe at Oakview Nursing home and it helped very much on her road to recovery.

Overall Experience
My wife needed a week of Respite care, and the Oakview facility was suggested to us as a new one in our area.
Following her week’s stay, there was complete satisfaction with all the care she received. The practical aspects of her care were totally met, including the personal care, the quality of the food and the comfort of her room. The overall care was carried out by an extremely well qualified, professional and friendly team of people. One could immediately sense this was a team of well motivated and co-ordinated staff, who were providing a comfortable and pleasurable stay to all their residents.
There is no doubt the general ethos of this home reflects the future concept of the way care should be offered. The layout and quality of the building and the up to date facilities, certainly offer a refreshing change from the older style concept of many existing homes.

My wife was very apprehensive about her first ever Respite stay. She is now very reassured and looks forward to future stays.

My mother was welcomed at short notice after a fall, initially for respite care. She settled very quickly and seemed brighter and more alert than she had been for some months. She is now a permanent resident, is treated very much as an individual and is beginning to show signs of joining in the activities which she watches with interest.
The staff are very attentive and always ready to discuss her care with me and my husband when we visit.

The home is beautifully designed and with a tremendous sense of space - overall an excellent move.

My mother spent two weeks respite care at Oakview Lodge in February. The home was already known to our family as a close family friend was already a resident there so we had no hesitation in placing mum in their care. The staff and management are so caring towards the residents treating them with great respect and dignity. The facilities are fantastic - there is a fabulous cafe area where residents can spend time with family and friends, a pub, a cinema, gym and two lovely treatment rooms. The food was wonderful and always looked very appetising. I was able to have a meal with mum on several occasions and it was lovely to sit and chat with the other residents. The atmosphere is so warm and friendly and mum really enjoyed her stay and is looking forward to coming back soon.

When my mother came in for a few weeks, she was feeling very unsettled and sorry for herself. We were very concerned about leaving her but the staff were welcoming and kind. By the end of her stay, she was asking when she could come back for another holiday.

I am extremely satisfied with the care that our friend has received since he came here in February 2018.

He settled in beautifully. The staff respect him and treat him well. He does not socialize well but there are various activities arranged for the residents to enjoy and take part in.

I visited the home with my husband looking for respite care for my mother-in-law. The welcome from the manager was very relaxing and we were made to feel at home. The home was clean and the residents and staff looked very happy. The manager and deputy put us at ease and were able to answer our questions. The environment is beautiful.
