The support of the staff and their kind and positive attitude has been excellent. Sometimes the main lounge can be quite noisy, so it's nice to have the garden room for some peace and quiet. The range of activities is good, but I haven't taken part in many yet as I've only been there for two weeks so far. Perhaps name badges for residents to help us get to know one another. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend it here.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Ferrars Hall. The Garden room is a great peaceful space to watch the wildlife. We appreciate your kind words and recommendation. This will be passed onto the team here. It is a pleasure to care for you and have you as part of our Ferrars Hall Family.
I was informed mum settled in very well at the home. When I visited, I found the carers to be very understanding. Mum is treated with dignity and respect. There was an incident with a crochet blanket. I did not want it put in a tumble dryer, and it was. It came apart in a few places. It took me a long time to make. I'm sure I mentioned that I would wash and dry it.
We are sorry to hear about the incident with the blanket, should you wish to discuss this further...
The staff could not have been more accommodating, kind and attentive.

He has respect and dignity back, he has started to notice others again, and instead of being fearful, he has relaxed. The staff and carers at Ferrars Hall have all contributed to this positive shift, and I am so grateful to you all.

My mother arrived at Ferrars Hall last November and, much to my relief, has settled exceptionally well into her new home. This is down to a combination of things: the professionalism, attentiveness, patience and warmth of the staff; the excellent facilities; the entertainment organised for residents; and the delicious food (I am told!). A sincere thanks from Mum's family to all those who have contributed to this heartwarming and reassuring situation.

My wife has lived at Ferrars Hall for 9 months now. Before that she attended day care sessions twice a week for a year. This made the transition to residence very smooth as she knew the building and faces. She was welcomed and settled in very well. Despite her dementia she smiles and laughs more and has better mood than when at home with just me.
All the staff are simply wonderful. Cleaners, catering and carers always greet her by name, and often enquire about how I am doing too. I honestly can't imagine or wish for better care of her. We have no other family and I am confident that if I am unable to visit her, she will be well cared for.
The home has a very effective relationship with her GP surgery team and when medical issues arose, they were very prompt in calling for support from doctors and paramedics as well as keeping me informed at all times.
I visited a good number of care homes before choosing Ferrars Hall and have never regretted my choice.

My mother has been a resident at Ferrars Hall for nearly two years. The facilities are excellent and the rooms and communal areas are kept clean, tidy and welcoming. The staff are kind and considerate
but often busy and short of time to give the extra time needed to some residents. They try hard with a varied activities programme available to residents and include families and carers. The food is adequate but sometimes looks a little bland and beige and extra, more exciting and colourful cuisine would make a change and perhaps be more tempting for some residents. Overall, I believe this to be the best place for my mother to be at this time in her life as she has supervision and care and the staff treat her and all the residents with dignity and respect.
Thank you for taking the time to leave Ferrars Hall a review. Thank you for your feedback regarding the food at Ferrars Hall, every effort is made to ensure that residents have access to food that is to their liking. We hold regular resident's meetings, where the Chef Manager is present and...
My mum was cared for, for nearly three years. In all this time, she was given the best possible care and was very happy at Ferrars Hall. The home is beautiful and just like a hotel. The food was always freshly cooked with plenty of choices. The home was always beautifully kept, cleaned daily and always smelled fresh.
Thank you for taking the time to leave Ferrars Hall a review. We truly appreciate your kind words and feedback, and this will be passed on to the whole team. It was a pleasure to care of your mum, as part of our Ferrars Hall Family.

I felt great relief leaving my husband at Ferrars Hall after a difficult time with dementia much worse. His room is very comfortable. I am impressed with the cleanliness and freshness of the home each time I visit. The staff are really caring and I admire them as it must be really difficult at times on their shift. It is hard to visit my husband in this situation and I feel worse after a bad day. The staff though are very friendly and supportive which helps. My sons and I feel happy that my husband is in Ferrars Hall and we chose the home that is so good.
Thank you for taking the time to leave Ferrars Hall a review. We appreciate your kind words and feedback. It is wonderful to hear that you find the staff caring and supportive, we will ensure that this feedback is passed onto them. It is a pleasure to care for your loved one as part of our Ferrars Hall Family.
The carers are so kind and helpful even when they are stretched beyond with their duties. The majority of the staff are excellent, but there are some passengers and some who are unprofessional. The cleaning staff are cleaning somewhere all of the time when I am visiting. Food and drinks are excellent considering the numbers and clientele being catered for. They are very kind to let me have my meals with my husband, beautifully served on a table for 2. The room for entertaining our family and friends is excellent. The activities are excellent but could do with some in the long evenings.
Thank you for taking the time to leave Ferrars Hall a review. Your kind feedback is much appreciated and will be passed onto the staff and relevant departments at the home. We are sorry to hear that you have found some staff to be lacking in professionalism, if you would like to address this...
My aunt has been in Ferrars Hall since May 2023. My aunt settled in straight away and seems very comfortable and content in the home. The home is extremely clean, the food is good, and the facilities are great. However, the biggest asset of the home is the staff - all of them from those working in reception to the Managers to the care staff are exceptional. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and excellent with the residents. The home undertakes a lot of activities with the residents and visits out into the community. The home has also helped us manoeuvre through the complex social care funding processes which has helped relieve a lot of the stress involved.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Ferrars Hall. We are so pleased to hear that you feel your Aunt has settled in well. Your comments about the food, activities and staff are much appreciated and will be passed on to the team. Once again, thank you for taking the time to leave a review, it is a pleasure to care for your aunt as part of the Ferrars Hall Family.
Ferrars Hall was recommended to me by a neighbour whose mother is a resident. It is better than a 5 Star Hotel, my mother 92, was admitted to the hospital for the first time, ever, this year, very frail with an infection, she and I jointly decided she could not live alone anymore when discharged. After about 6 weeks of living in Ferrars Hall she has acclimatised to the routine and staff and is now very happy, I would say much happier than when living alone in her flat. Now, she is wheeled by the carers in her chair to breakfast, lunch and afternoon goodies, my mother says the food in the restaurant is in her words, very tasty. The carers are all so good and mostly the same people, which is so important, not to mention the whole home is immaculately clean and the management are so helpful. My mum's room, which is near to the hairdresser's room, where she has her hair done every 2 weeks, and a chiropodist every 6 weeks, is better than a 5-star hotel for sure.
Thank you for taking the time to leave Ferrars Hall Care Home a review. We are thrilled to hear how happy you are with the care and support that your mother is receiving at Ferrars Hall. Your kind words will be passed on to the team here. Once again thank you for your review, it is a pleasure to care for your mother as part of our Ferrars Hall Family.
Since being at Ferrers Hall my mother has regained her confidence, she feels safe and secure in the knowledge that she will come to no harm and that there is always someone on hand to guide and support her. The staff are all extremely attentive to all the residents, this I have always witnessed when visiting, which is often. The team are always respectful and have a professional, friendly and positive approach to all situations. The team provide stimulating and inclusive experiences and whilst encouraging they do not force anyone to take part in anything. I have seen the benefits of these experiences first-hand, with my mother, she now has choices and purpose. As a family member, I am always kept well informed of all things relevant regarding my mother's care, this comes from not only the immediate care staff but also the management staff. Requests and suggestions that are made are always well received and acted up to if practicable and possible.
Thank you for taking the time to leave Ferrars Hall a review. It is wonderful to hear that your mother has regained her confidence since living with us. Your feedback regarding our staff and management team is much appreciated and we will ensure it is passed onto the team. Thank you again for...
I visit Ferrars Hall 4 or more times per week so have ample opportunity to observe the facilities and treatment of mum and other residents by carers and other staff. Care and respect for residents is without exception excellent. My mum has no complaints about her treatment or food and is very happy and well entertained and cared for.
Thank you for taking the time to leave Ferrars Hall a review. We are so pleased to hear your comments about the care and respect shown to all our residents. We are also thrilled to hear that your mother is happy with the care, support and food at the home. It is a pleasure to care for your loved one as part of our Ferrars Hall Family.
