Ferrars Hall is a care home in the heart of Huntingdon providing residential care in luxury surroundings. The home has a warm, family atmosphere with a highly trained and caring staff team. Staff get to know residents and their families personally to provide personalised care taking into account residents' individual needs and preferences.

The care home has 66 large en-suite bedrooms, decorated to a very high standard. Ferrars Hall Care Home has it's own hair salon, café/bistro, cinema room, and numerous lounges and communal areas. Residents are encouraged to enjoy their hobbies and interests and a wide range of meaningful activities are available on a daily basis, from light exercise, crafts, gardening and trips out.

Ferrars Hall has built close links with the local community and often hosts events and meetings to encourage residents to maintain their links with local groups. Visitors are welcome at any time.

Ferrars Hall has its own Chef who works closely with residents and the care team to develop a weekly menu with a wide range of nutritious food suited to individual dietary requirements. The front of house team are on hand to provide drinks and refreshments throughout the day.

The staff were extremenly friendly and empathetic and patient with my family concerns for my mother. They dealt with all our queries efficiently and professionally. The level of care for my mum was very good, she was very supported emotionally and physically for the short time were at Ferrars Hall.
Whatever queries or concerns we had were addressed promptly and with due care.

My mum received the very best care and was treated kindly and with respect. I found the staff all very pleasant and a few I got to know a little were absolutely lovely.
The home is clean and comfortable and felt safe, with plenty of lovely areas to sit relax and enjoy a cuppa.

Ferrars Hall Care Home is a proud establishment of which in the future if I need care for myself I will be demanding that my family take me to Ferrars!


The home is not only stunning with its modern decor but the care is what makes this home superior. Even on my first visit to this home, I was instantly

greeted with a family feel, it smelt beautiful! Which is always a feature I keep in mind when visiting homes. Everyone was very 'team' and resident orientated and it was great to see.

My mother went into long-term respite care at Ferrars Hall a few weeks ago. I cannot praise the staff highly enough for the support they have given not just to my mum, but also to the rest of the family, helping us through quite a challenging time. They have gone above and beyond my expectations with
their care, thoughtfulness, communication and time given to help her settle in. The whole team are absolutely fabulous!

I was welcomed into Ferrars Hall Care Home on an ad hoc visit, but nothing was too much trouble. I was shown around and immediately and warmed to the environment. All the staff are engaging, welcoming and smile!
After initial reservations, I took my mother for a visit; she felt the same and could see
herself living there straight away.
She has moved in permanently now and has been resident for 2 weeks. She is joining in and enjoying her new home. All the other residents also seem to be happy. It has really helped us as a family and we can now visit and sit and have a cup of tea!

From the first moment I walked into Ferrars Hall, I had a feeling that my mum would be safe in their hands. The staff have been such a huge support with the huge transition of moving a relative into a care home. My mum is very well looked after and this has given us huge peace of mind as a family. I

My mother has recently spent 2 weeks at Ferrars Hall as she required respite care to support her recovery from a period of ill health. The manager's response to a very short notice request was superb and she did everything to sort out arrangements and make sure the room was located in the right area
to aid her recovery. Staff all made her feel very welcome and were available if required, on hand to encourage integration without making her feel pressurised.


Mum made significant progress during her stay benefiting from attentive and caring staff who showed genuine interest in her wellbeing and responded to swiftly to any requests relating to medical support with the local surgery.


At the end of her stay, Mum had regained some of her confidence and health to be able to focus on her forthcoming move into sheltered accommodation knowing she was capable of independent living.


Thank you to all everyone at Ferrars Hall for providing such a homely environment.

My aunt needed dementia residential, I was recommended Ferrars Hall from a family member, I visited the home quite early before going to work. I was not only extremely impressed by the quality of the care home but also by the very warm welcome and excellent level of care given. The admin was very swift
in arranging my aunt's transfer and made her feel at home. Truly, a "home away from home"! The care home and level of care is definitely more than 5 stars and the staff are absolutely fantastic as they are always very attentive, supporting and very friendly. It's a superb place.
When I come over, we sit in the music room. There's an aviary and a family room for the grandchildren to visit. What more can you ask for?

My 88-year-old mother settled in after a brief respite session and loves the carers and her new home.
She used to live in a local bungalow within an almshouse charity complex but this year became unable to properly look after herself.
Ferrars have helped her find her feet again.

I have visited the home quite a few times now I can honestly say every time is a joy. Staff are always smiling and residents are happy, relaxed and sociable. The home is really focused on the residents and their families and those extra little homely touches shine through. Whether it’s movie night in
the cinema room, afternoon tea and cake in the dining room, or cuddles with little Berol the chihuahua, there is a warmth to this place which is far removed from the clinical environment you might get elsewhere. So much so, that I find it quite hard to leave after each visit!

My mother stayed for two weeks for respite. Staff were amazing and made her very welcome. Mum suffers from dementia so any change can be a challenge. However, everyone showed kindness and professionalism when dealing with her. They made her welcome and felt safe.


She will be going in for respite

again and when asked if she was happy to do so she said 'I will look forward to seeing my friends again as I have missed them'. That is a glowing report and makes me happy to place her there again.


I have to say that the manager was fantastic. You always felt you could talk to her about anything and she always found time to sit and talk to the residents and their family.

My Father spent 18 months at Ferrars Hall, after it became clear he could no longer live alone. Moving him to Ferrars Hall was the best thing we could have done for him. We would give Ferrars Hall the highest recommendation in all of the 'standard' criteria, but would add to this the kindness and
genuine affection shown to my father by the staff. We were very confident that he was well looked after but in addition to this, he regarded Ferrars Hall as his home and the staff as his extended family.
We will always be grateful for this.

My family are pleased with the care our 93-year-old mum is receiving. All the staff, both management and carers, are very friendly and thoughtful. Mum is treated with respect and dignity as she cannot do anything for herself. The facilities are excellent, clean and well maintained.

The staff (both the Management and Carers) are very thoughtful and friendly and go out of their way to make this home a very pleasant and comfortable place to live. At times the staff seem very stretched and under pressure, but on the whole, it has never let this reflect on the way they treat the residents.
My
family have been very pleased with the way my mother has settled down, particularly as she was very averse to the idea of living in a Care Home. It is a very pleasant environment, tastefully decorated and thoughtfully planned out.
