Marling Court Care Home

I would definitely recommend to anything thinking of using them

There is a refurbishment going on but the staff have kept the place immaculately clean and the new lounge and bedrooms are beautiful. I love that you can visit at any time and I visit every couple of days. Every time I visit I am very impressed at the kindness shown by the staff to the residents. Her friends are also welcomed when they visit her which we really appreciate. This is such a well run care home we really are glad we moved her here.

I've now been visiting an old schoolfriend every other week since he took up residence some two years ago. From the start, I've been hugely impressed by the self-evident care and attention accorded my friend by just about every member of staff I've come into contact with. This cannot, I think, be wholly ascribed to staff members' instinctive sympathy for their charges but must also reflect the example set by the on-site management. My only question mark is prompted by the apparent cessation - and I may be mistaken here - of the regular minibus outings that were once the norm.

My cousin, Stephen, is always happy with his care, his carers and living at Marling Court. He is well looked after, enjoys the food and is kept in good health and clean and tidy. He has never made any complaint about Marling Court and I am very happy with his care there. Ros Daly (Next of Kin and POA)

It was sad when my mum was unable to care for herself but she's happy/safe and looked after at Marlin Court.

You have cared for her for a number of years, very well. Alll staff have always been good to her and to us.

My experiences have been very good. My wife is well cared for. The staff are kind and understanding. I am very pleased with her standard of care.

Staff are always welcoming and friendly, and seem to know the residents and their needs well. They gave us the time needed alone with our relative, made a room available and arranged access to the outside areas. We have no concerns with her care.

I would like to see my sister reacting in a meaningful way with fellow residents but I suppose it is in the nature of her illness that this is not possible. The staff are invariably helpful and cheerful, often in quite difficult circumstances.

I have found the staff friendly and sensitive to my sister-in-law's needs. I wish she would be more open to the events offered at the care home, but I know she can be obstinate.

The staff are friendly, rooms are clean.

My father first came here in September 2023 on a respite but a couple of weeks after his return we realised that we could not look after him so he returned to Marling. I cannot thank the staff for all the wonderful care they gave my father. This was a lovely home for him and there was nothing that I could fault.

Lovely home, looking after Mum very well, gives me peace of mind knowing Mum is cared for and safe.

All of the staff seemed to really care about the welfare and well-being of the resident.

The only criticism is hard to speak to Mum on the phone at the weekends, seldom is the phone answered.

All the staff, carers and admin, are very helpful to me and seem to genuinely give my husband as much care as possible. The only downside is the difficulty at weekends and bank holidays in getting into and out of the home without anyone in the office to open/close the front door or answer the phone.

This was the first time I put my father in a care home and I was so worried about him. Last time I had a holiday was June 2016. I went for two weeks while Dad was in the care home. I was so surprised to see him so happy, he was so friendly with all the residents. The love and care I saw from the carers, nurses and all the staff, even the manager, every one of them were amazing people. So loving and caring and I appreciate them all.

A very well-run care home with engaged, keen and well-trained staff. No details were overlooked and my family was made very welcome.

Always found management and staff to be kind and helpful but don't know any other homes to compare it with. I would like to have the post delivered on the same day, rather than always having to ask for it.

I am delighted that my wife has been able to stay at the Marling Court. The home has a very welcoming appearance and is secure with regard to the epidemic situation. The care staff and management team have been very attentive to my wife's needs and always supportive with my visits. My wife was very complimentary about the catering and enjoyed the activity sessions. I would readily recommend the Marling Court for their care.
