I visited with a daughter of a resident who had only been admitted the previous day. I was so impressed that the daughter on her 2nd visit was recognised by two carers, and greeted by name.So impressed! Thank you. It reassured her at a hard time. Lovely receptionist too.

I have since been back a number of times and have been impressed with the care I have witnessed, the activities coordinator and the serving of food.

Woodlands Care home exceeded our expectations. The staff are warm, caring and truly dedicated to the residents wellbeing.

The facilities are lovely, bright, clean and homely with a welcoming atmosphere.

There are lots of activities to join as well as a cinema and a beautiful garden.

Thank you to all the staff who make us feel welcome and who look after our friend so well.

My mum spent 10 nights in this care home for respite since I had to go away for work. The service was excellent from beginning to end. My mum loved it so much that she didn't want to leave!

I would like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for looking after my mum. It's greatly appreciated.

The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The care my aunt receives is excellent. The building and decor is similar to a hotel and is very well maintained. The staff have been supportive and caring to the whole family while my aunt goes through a difficult phase of her life.

My brother and I would like to say a huge thank you to Wendy and the Woodland's team for the love and care they showed our nan and grandad. They moved in to Woodland's together in 2020 and following our nan passing away in 2021, our grandad's health quickly deteriorated and we thought we were going to loose him very quickly after loosing our nan. However, despite the grim prognosis from the hospital, our grandad recovered and was supported at every turn by the Woodland's team. They were always happy to update us and always accommodating when we visited with the great grandchildren running around. They even facilitated a party we had arranged for him when he turned 90 years old. The staff always had a smile and there were always events and trips being planned for the residents to enjoy. Woodlands has a social media page and it was always heartening to see him enjoying himself with his friends. Thank you Woodlands for everything. It meant so much and we are forever grateful.

Review from M C (Sister of Resident) published on 30 January 2025 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My sister was transferred to Woodlands after an eight-week stay in hospital following a stroke which left her paralysed down her left side. She was very weak and suffered from mild autism. From day one she was made welcome, shown kindness and love, she said they were her friends. Whenever myself or family visited all staff greeted us with a smile, nothing was too much trouble, and I felt safe to leave her in their care. Sadly her stay was short and after a week she was put on end-of-life care. During her last day she was treated with love and care and kept comfortable. The staff also looked after me offering tea, coffee and a shoulder to cry on when needed. After she passed she was treated with respect and dignity. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Woodlands to anyone, they made my sister's last few weeks as comfortable as possible.

Our Mum spent the last 2 years at the home suffering with advanced Dementia. All of the staff were very caring over this period and it was obviously the best place for her to be receiving the best care she could possibly have. All of the staff were extremely helpful with Mum and us too as we went through a difficult time.

My mother has settled into Woodlands House, as a temporary resident. The welcome we both received was comforting and reassuring. The staff are friendly and engaged in the well-being of each resident. The home is very clean and warm. The food is freshly cooked and plentiful. Each resident is kept clean and looked after. At first, my mother said she found it strange to be somewhere different from home but she wishes she could stay here permanently now. From reception staff to nursing staff & cleaners, everyone really makes an effort. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Woodlands House to others.

This is just the most wonderful care home. Every single member of staff that works here are amazing people and helps and supports their residents so well. My mum has been here for almost a year now and I cannot thank everyone who works here enough for the love and support they have offered not only to my Mum but to us as a family.
My Mum is so happy at Woodlands. She absolutely loves the food and the fact that a hairdresser comes on a weekly basis. Her room is also wonderful and bright and thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis.

I'm a frequent visitor and I honestly see each and every resident treated with dignity and respect. The staff are so kind and attentive, and I appreciate them so much. I love this place and I cannot recommend Woodlands enough.

My sister and I were very grateful for how wonderfully my mother was looked after at Woodlands House. The staff were caring, knowledgable and kind. Our mother loved the food she was given and she was encouraged to make friends and be sociable. Woodlands Care Home is a wonderful place for your elderly resident with problems. Staff are kind, caring and committed, the environment is beautiful and the food is like a five-star restaurant. What more could anyone want.
My mother has her own individual issues and the staff works with me to help. They go above and beyond at all times.
Staff are very patient and I have seen a resident verbally abuse a very kind member of staff, just her Dementia, and she responded with patience and kindness. Not an easy thing to do.

Woodlands Care Home is the best facility in our area and we were lucky to get a place.
