Woodlands House Care and Nursing Home offers residential, nursing and specialist dementia care in a quiet, desirable residential area of Colliers Wood, with excellent road links and transport networks for visiting relatives.

The highly trained and dedicated staff team at Woodlands provide person-centred care to each resident to ensure they feel loved and valued. Each resident is cared for in a warm and homely environment designed to be an extension of their own family life.

Woodlands House is designed with residents in mind and is fully equipped to provide care in a pleasant and comfortable setting. Recently renovated inside and out, Woodlands House provides a luxurious yet homely environment for residents, offering spacious en-suite bedrooms and beautiful communal spaces with thoughtful touches throughout the home. Each floor also has assisted bathrooms and shower rooms for those with mobility issues.

The activities and well-being coordinators offer a wide range of daily activities tailored to individual preferences. They love getting to know each resident and their likes and dislikes, enabling us to help them enjoy their hobbies and interests and continue to live fulfilling lives with us at Woodlands House. A big part of this is the home's relationship with the local community and they frequently host events for local shops, groups, churches and societies (when they are able to). These societies provide them with social outlets for residents to enhance their lifestyles.

I shall be 94 in 25 days time. I am very content to be living in Woodlands. I really enjoyed the Garden Fete this year. All the staff are kind and pleasant. At times, they are very heavily loaded. There is always a choice of 3 dishes for meals. Some are not to my taste but I am a fairly old man (I was
more adventurous when I was younger). I have been here 5 years and 7 months now and I observe what goes on. I am very pleased to receive a visitor or visitors for a chat. (It is very rare to have a serious conversation with anyone here for intermediate care) or other residents.

I moved to Woodlands on 20th February 2018. The staff are pleasant and helpful and work happily as a team. Any requests are dealt with quickly. The chef serves a varied and interesting menu with plenty of choice. The bedrooms are comfortable and en-suite. My room has a lovely view over a park. It is
quiet outside. There is a varied programme of entertainment and exercise. One teacher does a seated yoga session, quite challenging. Taking part is, of course, voluntary. There are two spacious rooms and lots of areas where we can sit and chat or read. There is also a lovely garden where we can walk or sit.

Everyone who works here has such beautiful souls and are so friendly, kind and caring.
They all work so hard and really care.

I am very pleased with Woodlands House. My two friends have settled in very well. I have no complaints to make. Everything is first class. There is a very nice atmosphere there. The staff are most helpful and caring. If I ever needed a care home for myself I would certainly choose Woodlands House.

The care home is one of the most welcoming and friendly homes I have ever been to.
The management style and flexibility between residents and staff is unique and can be seen how important it is in the daily well being of our elderly. Sceptical at first, I'm now convinced that the great character and
conduct by all staff including the care home manager has definitely made what people may assume a care home into an actual loving home. When asking residents of their feelings they were very happy with how routines are personalised and tailored to their needs.

My mother originally stayed in the rehab unit and we were very impressed with the overall standard, it was like being in a hotel. Very clean, staff friendly and helpful, lovely food, nothing a problem, so that when my mother needed residential care, we wanted her to go there as other care homes viewed
were unacceptable. The manager kindly went out of his way to accommodate my mother, even though we were informed by social services, no vacancies.

My father has been at Woodlands since July 2017 and to date, we have found the home to be extremely caring and thoughtful with regard to his daily needs and comfort. The surroundings of the home are very comfortable and bright, the food is well thought out and home cooked and very varied. There are
often outside entertainers who visit and put on a show for the residents to help them interact and stimulate them. Utmost the home genuinely care for the residents and treat them with dignity.

Extremely wonderful care given at Woodlands House. Staff very friendly and attentive, always willing and hardworking. Food is nutritious and delicious and varied. Lots of varied entertainment and activities. Thank you to all the staff for all your help, keep up the amazing work.

Woodlands Care Home provided the most wonderful care for my beloved Aunt, when she had dementia, from 2015 - 2017. From the very beginning, it was apparent that this care home really did care: the manager interviewed my Aunt and found out what she would need to make Woodlands feel like home and organised
a personalised care regime for her. She had her own things around her and access to a newspaper and the news, regular haircuts, singing and activities which she thoroughly enjoyed and most of all, caring and supportive staff who genuinely held her in their affection. The staff at Woodlands had been so hard working, kind and supportive, they were the natural choice when my father started to deteriorate rapidly last month. Again, the care has been excellent and the manager is always available to listen to feedback and answer queries and the office staff are incredibly supportive as well; which makes such a difference. I really can't thank them enough.
